1. Introduction
To all residents of the European Union

This symbol on the device or the package indicates that disposal of the device after its
lifecycle could harm the environment. Do not dispose of the unit (or batteries) as
unsorted municipal waste; it should be taken to a specialized company for recycling.
This device should be returned to your distributor or to a local recycling service. Respect
the local environmental rules.

2. Safety Instructions
Read and understand this manual and all safety signs before using this appliance.
Indoor use only.

WARNING –Maximum 8 hours continuous use at full load.
•This device can be used by children aged from 8 years and above, and persons with
reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and
knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning the use of
the device in a safe way and understand the hazards involved. Children shall not
play with the device. Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children
without supervision.
•If the external flexible cable or cord of this device is damaged, it shall be replaced
by a special cord or assembly available from the manufacturer or his service agent.
•This power supply is intended only to be used in connection with information
technology equipment and/or equipment for measurement, control and laboratory
use and/or audio, video and/or similar electronic apparatus.
•Always connect the device to a grounded circuit to avoid risk of electrocution.

•Do not disassemble or open the cover of this appliance under any circumstances.
Touching live wires can cause life-threatening electric shocks. Apart from the fuse,
there are no user-serviceable parts.
•This appliance will heat up during use. Make sure the ventilation openings are clear
at all times. For sufficient air circulation, create a 25 mm clearance in front of the
ventilation openings. Ensure the appliance is installed on a flat, heat-resistant
surface. Do not place the appliance on carpet, fabric or any other flammable
surface.
•Always disconnect the appliance from the mains power when not in use. Handle the
power cable by the plug only.
•Keep this appliance away from dust and extreme temperatures.
•Avoid brute force when operating the device. Do not drop it.
•Immediately discontinue use if you notice any damage to the appliance or cables.
Do not attempt to repair any damage yourself.
3. General Guidelines
•Refer to the Velleman®Service and Quality Warranty on the last pages of this
manual.
•All modifications of the device are forbidden for safety reasons. Damage caused by
user modifications to the device is not covered by the warranty.
•Only use the device for its intended purpose. Using the device in an unauthorised
way will void the warranty.
•Damage caused by disregard of certain guidelines in this manual is not covered by
the warranty and the dealer will not accept responsibility for any ensuing defects or
problems.
•Nor Velleman Group nv nor its dealers can be held responsible for any damage
(extraordinary, incidental or indirect) –of any nature (financial, physical…) arising
from the possession, use or failure of this product.
•Keep this manual for future reference.

5. Operation
•If you want to use the unit as a stable voltage supply, set the current knob on
maximum clockwise. Then switch on the unit and set the voltage knob to the
required voltage.
•If you want to use the unit as a stable current supply, turn the unit on, set the
voltage knob to the maximum clockwise and the current knob to the minimum
counter clockwise. Connect the load and set the current knob to the required
current.
•If you want to use the unit as a stable voltage supply, you can set the protection
point of the current limit randomly. Set the current knob on the minimum counter
clockwise. Then, short-circuit the output terminals and set the current knob
clockwise.
•Set the output current to the required limited current point.
•For more accuracy, connect an external high-accuracy meter.
Notes
•This unit is short-circuit protected. If a short circuit should occur, turn the power
supply off and solve the problem.
•The unit can get very hot when you are using a high-power output.
•If the unit is defective, the output may rise over the maximum rated voltage.
Always keep an eye on the load to prevent damage.
6. Care and Maintenance
•Before starting any cleaning or maintenance activities:
oUnplug the device's power cord from the outlet.
oLet the device cool down.
•There are no user-serviceable parts, apart from the fuse. Contact your dealer for
spare parts if necessary.
•The power supply cables must not show any damage. Have a qualified technician
maintain the device.
Cleaning
•Wipe the device regularly with a moist, lint-free cloth. Do not use alcohol or
solvents.
•Use normal glass cleaner and a soft cloth to wipe off the outside casing.
•Do not immerse the device in any liquid.
Storage
•Store the device in a dry, well-ventilated, dust-free room.

1. Inleiding

Belangrijke milieu-informatie betreffende dit product
Dit symbool op het toestel of de verpakking geeft aan dat, als het na zijn levenscyclus
wordt weggeworpen, dit toestel schade kan toebrengen aan het milieu. Gooi dit toestel
(en eventuele batterijen) niet bij het gewone huishoudelijke afval; het moet bij een
gespecialiseerd bedrijf terechtkomen voor recyclage. U moet dit toestel naar uw
verdeler of naar een lokaal recyclagepunt brengen. Respecteer de plaatselijke

2. Veiligheidsvoorschriften
Lees en begrijp deze handleiding en de veiligheidsinstructies vóór ingebruikname.

WAARSCHUWING - Max. 8u continu gebruik bij maximale belasting.
•Dit toestel is geschikt voor gebruik door kinderen vanaf 8 jaar, door personen met
fysieke, zintuiglijke of verstandelijke beperkingen, of door personen met gebrek aan
ervaring en kennis, op voorwaarde dat dit onder toezicht gebeurt van een persoon
die verantwoordelijk is voor hun veiligheid of hun aanwijzingen heeft gegeven, hoe
zij het toestel moeten gebruiken en zich bewust zijn van de risico's die het gebruik
van het toestel met zich meebrengt. Kinderen mogen niet met het toestel spelen.
De reiniging en het onderhoud van het toestel mogen niet worden uitgevoerd door
kinderen, tenzij ze onder toezicht staan.
•Indien de voedingskabel beschadigd is, dan moet deze door de fabrikant of diens
servicedienst vervangen worden.
•Dit toestel is alleen geschikt voor IT-apparatuur en/of apparatuur voor meting,
controle en laboratoriumgebruik en/of elektrische apparatuur en/of audio-, video-
en soortgelijke elektronische apparatuur.
•Sluit het toestel steeds aan op een geaard stopcontact om elektrische schokken te
voorkomen.

•Demonteer of open dit toestel NOOIT. Raak geen kabels aan die onder stroom staan
om dodelijke elektrische schokken te vermijden. Er zijn geen door de gebruiker
vervangbare onderdelen in dit toestel, behalve de zekering.
•Dit toestel wordt warm tijdens het gebruik. Zorg ervoor dat de ventilatieopeningen
niet worden geblokkeerd. Voor voldoende luchtcirculatie, zorg voor een vrije ruimte
voor de openingen van minstens 25 mm. Plaats het toestel op een effen,
hittebestendig oppervlak. Plaats het toestel niet op een tapijt, vloerkleed of een
brandbaar oppervlak.
•Trek steeds de stekker uit het stopcontact wanneer het toestel niet wordt gebruikt.
Houd de voedingskabel altijd vast bij de stekker en niet bij de kabel.
•Bescherm het toestel tegen stof en extreme temperaturen.
•Vermijd brute kracht tijdens de bediening van het toestel. Laat het toestel niet
vallen.
•Gebruik het toestel niet wanneer de kabel of het toestel beschadigd is. Probeer het
toestel niet zelf te repareren.
3. Algemene richtlijnen
•Raadpleeg de Velleman®service- en kwaliteitsgarantie achteraan deze handleiding.
•Om veiligheidsredenen mag u geen wijzigingen aanbrengen. Schade door
wijzigingen die de gebruiker heeft aangebracht aan het toestel valt niet onder de
garantie.
•Gebruik het toestel enkel waarvoor het gemaakt is. De garantie vervalt automatisch
bij ongeoorloofd gebruik.
•De garantie geldt niet voor schade door het negeren van bepaalde richtlijnen in
deze handleiding en uw dealer zal de verantwoordelijkheid afwijzen voor defecten of
problemen die hier rechtstreeks verband mee houden.
•Noch Velleman Group nv noch zijn verdelers kunnen aansprakelijk gesteld worden
voor schade (buitengewoon, incidenteel of onrechtstreeks) –van welke aard dan
ook (financieel, fysisch…) voortvloeiend uit het bezit, gebruik of falen van dit
product.
•Bewaar deze handleiding voor verdere raadpleging.

5. Gebruik
•Om het toestel als een constante spanningsbron te gebruiken, draai de instelknop
voor de stroomsterkte helemaal naar rechts. Schakel het toestel in en stel de
gewenste spanning in met de spanningsregelaar.
•Om het toestel als constante stroombron te gebruiken, schakel het toestel in, draai
de spanningsregelaar helemaal naar rechts en vervolgens de instelknop voor de
stroomsterkte helemaal naar links. Sluit de belasting aan en draai de instelknop
voor de stroomsterkte naar rechts totdat de gewenste stroomsterkte is bereikt.
•Om het toestel als constante spanningsbron te gebruiken, stel de gewenste
stroombegrenzing in. Draai de instelknop voor de stroomsterkte helemaal naar
links. Sluit de uitgangspolen kort en draai de instelknop voor de stroomsterkte naar
links.
•Stel de gewenste stroombegrenzing in voor de uitgangsstroom.
•Voor meer nauwkeurigheid, sluit een externe precisiemeter aan.
Opmerkingen
•Dit toestel is beschermd tegen kortsluiting. In het geval van kortsluiting, schakel
het toestel uit en los het probleem op.
•Bij het gebruik van een high power-uitgang kan het toestel zeer warm worden.
•Indien het toestel defect is, kan de uitgangswaarde de maximaal toegestane
spanning overschrijden. Let steeds op de belasting om schade te voorkomen.
6. Reiniging en onderhoud
•Voor het reinigen of onderhoud:
oOntkoppel het toestel van het lichtnet.
oLaat het toestel afkoelen.
•De gebruiker mag geen onderdelen vervangen, behalve de zekering. Bestel
eventuele reserveonderdelen bij uw verdeler.
•De voedingskabels mogen niet beschadigd zijn. Laat het toestel onderhouden door
een vakman.
Reiniging
•Maak het toestel geregeld schoon met een vochtige, niet pluizende doek. Gebruik
geen alcohol of solventen.
•Gebruik een glasreiniger en een zachte doek om de behuizing te reinigen.
•Dompel het toestel nooit onder in een vloeistof.
Opslag
•Bewaar het toestel op een droge, goed geventileerde, stofvrije ruimte.
