MOUSE TRAP BATTERIES: 4 AA batteries are needed to operate this trap. Insert and
remove batteries as indicated in the instructions. Non-rechargeable batteries are not to
be recharged. Rechargeable batteries are to be removed from the appliance before being
charged. Different types of batteries or new and used are not to be mixed. Batteries are to
be inserted with the correct polarity as indicated in the battery compartment. Exhausted
batteries are to be removed from the trap and safely disposed of. If the trap is to be stored
unused for a long period, the batteries should be removed. The supply terminals are not to be
short-circuited.
RAT TRAP BATTERIES: 4 C batteries are needed to operate this trap. Insert and remove

You Will Need:
•A smart phone, tablet or similar connected mobile device.
•Broadband internet connection. Do NOT use a phone/tablet hot spot.
•A strong Wi-Fi signal where trap will be placed.
•Password for your home network.
•A Victor®Smart-Kill™ trap.
•A set of brand new batteries (4 “AA” for the mouse trap, 4 “C” for the rat trap).
Important Notes
•Once a rodent is caught, a notication is sent to your connected device if it is connected to
the Victor®Pest App.
•A notication is sent to your mobile device when the battery life of the trap is low. Replace
batteries when you receive this notication.
•You can share your experience through social media within the App.
•The trap will still operate without being connected to Wi-Fi. However, you will not receive
notications upon catching a rodent and will need to regularly check the trap.

Modern routers usually have a selection for the operating frequency.It is most typically
2.4GHz (the default setting) or 5GHz.

Frequently Asked Questions
•Where should I place my trap?
Traps can be placed anywhere indoors. Place trap against a wall where rodent activity is
frequently seen.
•Where is my trap/QR code?
The QR code is located on the bottom of the mouse trap and the back of the rat trap.
•What kind of bait should I use?
The best baits are high in fat and protein, such as peanut butter or hazelnut spread.
•How much bait do I need?
The trap has a bait cup that shows you exactly how much bait to use. Do not overll the
bait cup. Do not place bait on the metal plates. Doing so may interfere with the electrical
functionality and your trap may not work unless you completely clean the bait off.

Network Speed:
The Gigahertz (GHz) range that a wireless device is using does not necessarily determine the
maximum speed of the Wi-Fi.A Wireless-A device that runs on the 5 GHz band can also
support a maximum data rate of up to 54 Mbps, which is exactly the same data rate that a
Wireless-G device running on the 2.4 GHz band supports.
Range:
The 5 GHz band has a shorter range compared to a 2.4 GHz band. Because in radio
frequencies, the higher the frequency the shorter its range. In other words, if you are using
a lower frequency like the 2.4 GHz, the distance it will cover will be greater than the 5 GHz
band.

You may need to check your Wi-Fi signal strength. Do this by making sure your mobile device
is connected to your Wi-Fi network. Hold your mobile device in the place where your Victor®
Smart-Kill™ trap will be stationed and check the Wi-Fi signal strength.
If you see:
Wi-Fi signal is strong. You’re all set!
Wi-Fi signal is weak. Your Victor®Smart-Kill™ trap will likely connect to your
Wi-Fi network, but connection may be intermittent.
No Wi-Fi signal:
Try one of the following:
• Move your router closer to your Victor®Smart-Kill™ trap.
•Buy a Wi-Fi range extender.
Indications that the trap did not successfully connect to Wi-Fi during setup:
•A network/server error has occurred if the blue Wi-Fi light and the red Victor®“V” light stay
on for 5 seconds. Power the trap off and start over.
•A password error has occurred if the blue Wi-Fi light and the red Victor®“V” light blink for 5
seconds. Re-enter password. Note that passwords are case sensitive.

1. Press Power Button
Press the power button to turn the trap on. The Victor®“V” will blink green 3 times.
2. Press and Hold Wi-Fi Button for 5 Seconds
The Wi-Fi button will blink blue 10 times while the trap is connecting.
3. Scan Trap Code
Center the trap’s code in the window on the screen. The trap code is the QR code located
on the bottom of the mouse trap and the back of the rat trap. See FAQ page for images of
QR code locations.

•How do I dispose of a caught mouse?
Press the power button to turn the unit “OFF”. Open the kill chamber door and properly
discard rodent. Clean and bait trap after each use for most effective results. Press the
power button to turn the unit back on. The trap will automatically reconnect to Wi-Fi.
Opening and closing the kill chamber door will re-arm the mouse trap if it has not been
powered “OFF”.
•How do I dispose of a caught rat?
Press the power button to turn the unit “OFF.” Properly discard rodent. Clean and bait trap
after each use for most effective results. Press power button to turn the unit back on. The
trap will automatically reconnect to Wi-Fi.
Getting Started: Android Devices
1. Download the free Victor®Pest App from the Apple App Store®or Android Google Play™
store. Check that the unit is turned “OFF” by making sure the power button is not pressed
down. Insert batteries into the battery compartment and launch the Victor®Pest App.
2. Connect your trap by following the instructions on screen. Step by step instructions are
also in this guide.
3. Once the power button and Wi-Fi button have been pressed during the initial setup, users
will have 5 minutes to successfully nish. Once 5 minutes have passed, the user should
power the trap off and start over if setup was not successful.
Android Devices
Important Note: Some screens, instructions and settings may differ slightly
depending on what device you are using.

4. Connect Mobile Device to Trap
Go to Wi-Fi settings on your device by pressing the red “GO TO SETTINGS” button.
Select the trap, which is VICTOR followed by 15 alphanumeric digits.(Ex: VICTOR-
WM170818BE00004). Press “Connect”, then press the back button.

If you have trouble successfully scanning the code, try changing the distancte between
the trap and mobile device. Alternatively you can enter the 15 digit alphanumeric code
manually by pressing the “ENTER CODE MANUALLY” text found on the bottom of the
screen. Enter the serial number found next to the QR code on your trap.

A notication appears when the trap successfully connects. Press the red “Next” button
and continue to step number 8
7. Unable to Connect
If your trap did NOT successfully connect, go to the Settings menu of your mobile device,
then select the Wi-Fi option.Select more options (often can be found by pressing the
options button in the top right corner) then select “Saved Networks.”

5. Connect Trap to Wi-Fi
Select the Wi-Fi network to connect the trap to.
Enter the network password for the Wi-Fi network, then press the red “Connect” button. It
may take up to 1 minute to connect.

Find the trap name
(Ex: VICTOR-WM170818BE00004) and select it.
Select “FORGET.”
Power trap off, then repeat steps 1 through 7. If the trap still does not connect, visit the
Trouble Shooting section or call 1-855-5-VICTOR for immediate assistance.
8. Name Your Trap
After successful connection, name the trap and press the red “Next” button.
9. Bait and Place Trap
Swipe through the three instruction screens on baiting and placing the trap, then press
the red “Done button. Visit the Frequently Asked Questions section for more information on
baiting and placing the trap.

6. Reconnected Mobile Device
Go to the Wi-Fi settings on your device by pressing the red “Go to Settings” button.Choose
a Wi-Fi network.Most devices will automatically re-connect to the most recently selected
Wi-Fi network. If it does not, select it. Then press the back button on the phone’s top
menu bar to return to the Victor®Pest App.

9. Name Your Trap
After successful connection, name the trap and press the red “Next” button.

Mouse Trap Cleaning Instructions
1. Press the power button to turn the trap OFF, then remove the
batteries. Hold the trap with the battery compartment in your left
hand, buttons facing upwards and the rodent entrance facing
towards you.
2. With your right hand push forward and separate the kill chamber
from the electronics housing.
3. The kill chamber is now ready for cleaning. Open the rodent disposal
door. Use a hydrogen peroxide topical solution (available at most
drug stores) and an old toothbrush to clean the inside of the
chamber. If needed, use a wire brush to remove any corrosion, being
careful not to be too vigorous. This could accidentally remove all of
the protective zinc plating.
4. Thoroughly dry the interior and exterior of the kill chamber prior to trap reassembly.
5. To reassemble trap, hold the battery compartment in your left hand, buttons facing
upwards. Hold the kill chamber in your right hand with the rodent entrance facing towards
you. Align the key holes and insert keys into opposite openings while pulling your right
hand backwards to reconnect the halves.
6. The trap is ready for use.
Rat Trap Cleaning Instructions
1. Press the power button to turn the trap OFF, then remove the batteries. Open the trap by
holding the base of the trap with your left hand and sliding the top backwards with your
right hand about one inch. Pull the top away from the base.
2. The kill chamber is now ready for cleaning. Use a hydrogen peroxide topical solution
(available at most drug stores) and an old toothbrush to clean the inside of the chamber.
Use a wire brush as needed to remove any corrosion, being careful not to be too vigorous.
This could accidentally remove all of the protective zinc plating.
3. Thoroughly dry the interior and exterior of the kill chamber prior to trap reassembly.
4. To reassemble trap,hold the base of the trap with your left hand
and slide the top into place by pushing forward with your right hand
to reconnect the pieces.

PILAS DE LA TRAMPA PARA RATAS: se necesitan cuatro pilas C para hacer funcionar

trampa se va a guardar sin usar durante un largo período de tiempo, se deben retirar las
pilas. Los terminales de alimentación no deben estar cortocircuitados.

Velocidad de la red:
El rango de Gigahercios (GHz) que está usando un dispositivo inalámbrico no necesariamente
determina la velocidad máxima del Wi-Fi. Un dispositivo Wireless-A que funciona en la
banda de 5 GHz también tiene capacidad para soportar una velocidad máxima de datos de
hasta 54 Mbps, que es exactamente la misma que soporta un dispositivo Wireless-G que
funciona en la banda de 2,4 GHz.
Alcance:
La banda de 5 GHz tiene un alcance menor que la de 2,4 GHz. Y, de hecho, en las
radiofrecuencias cuanto más alta es la frecuencia, más corto es su alcance. En otras
palabras, si se utiliza una frecuencia más baja como la de 2,4 GHz, la distancia que cubrirá
será mayor que la de la banda de 5 GHz.
Puede que necesite comprobar la intensidad de la señal de su wi. Hágalo asegurándose
de que su celular está conectado a su red wi. Sostenga su celular en el lugar donde se
colocará su trampa Victor®Smart-Kill™ y verique la intensidad de la señal wi.
Si ve:
la señal wi es fuerte. Ya está todo listo.
La señal wi es débil. Es probable que su trampa Victor®Smart-Kill™ se
conecte a su red wi, pero la conexión puede ser intermitente.
No hay señal wi:
intente una de las siguientes opciones:
•Mueva el router más cerca de su trampa Victor®SmartKill™.
•Compre un extensor de alcance wi.
Indicaciones de que la trampa no se ha conectado con éxito a la red wi durante la
conguración:
•Se ha producido un error de red/servidor si la luz azul de la red wi y la luz roja de Victor®
“V” permanecen encendidas durante cinco segundos. Apague la trampa y vuelva a
empezar.
•Se ha producido un error de contraseña si la luz azul de la red wi y la luz roja de Victor®
“V” parpadean durante cinco segundos. Vuelva a introducir la contraseña. Tenga en cuenta
que las contraseñas distinguen entre mayúsculas y minúsculas.

•¿Dónde debo colocar mi trampa?
Las trampas se pueden colocar en cualquier lugar en el interior. Coloque la trampa contra
una pared donde se vea frecuentemente la actividad de los roedores.
•¿Dónde está mi trampa/código QR?
El código QR se encuentra en la parte inferior de la trampa para ratones y en la parte
posterior de la trampa para ratas.

Cómo empezar: Dispositivos Android
1. Descargue la aplicación gratuita Plagas de Victor®en la Apple App Store®o en la tienda
Google Play™ de Android. 2. Compruebe que la unidad esté apagada asegurándose de
que el botón de encendido no esté presionado. 2. Inserte las pilas en el compartimento de
las pilas y ejecute la aplicación Plagas de Victor®.
2. Conecte su trampa siguiendo las instrucciones en pantalla. También hay instrucciones
paso a paso en esta guía.
3. Una vez que se hayan pulsado el botón de encendido y el botón de wi durante la
conguración inicial, los usuarios tendrán cinco minutos para terminar con éxito. Una
vez que hayan pasado cinco minutos, el usuario deberá apagar la trampa y comenzar de
nuevo si la conguración no tuvo éxito.
Dispositivos Android
Nota importante: algunas pantallas, instrucciones y conguraciones pueden diferir
ligeramente según el dispositivo que utilice.
1. Pulse el botón de encendido
Pulse el botón de encendido para encender la trampa. La “V” de Victor® parpadeará en
verde tres veces.
2. Mantenga pulsado el botón wi durante cinco segundos
El botón wi parpadeará en azul diez veces mientras la trampa se está conectando.
•¿Qué tipo de cebo debo usar?
Los mejores cebos tienen un alto contenido de grasas y proteínas, como la mantequilla de
maní o la pasta de avellana.
•¿Cuánto cebo necesito?
La trampa tiene una taza de cebo que le muestra exactamente cuánto cebo debe usar. No
llene demasiado la copa del cebo. No coloque el cebo en las placas de metal. Si lo hace,
puede interferir con la actividad eléctrica y es posible que la trampa no funcione a menos
que limpie completamente el cebo.
•¿Cómo me deshago de un ratón atrapado?
Pulse el botón de encendido para apagar la unidad. Abra la puerta de la cámara de captura
y deseche correctamente los roedores. Limpie la trampa de cebo después de cada uso
para obtener resultados más efectivos. Pulse el botón de encendido para volver a encender
la unidad. La trampa se volverá a conectar automáticamente a la red wi. Al abrir y cerrar
la puerta de la cámara asesina, la trampa para ratones se volverá a armar si no se ha
apagado.
•¿Cómo me deshago de una rata atrapada?
Presione el botón de encendido para apagar la unidad. Deseche correctamente el roedor.
Limpie y ponga una trampa de cebo después de cada uso para obtener resultados más
efectivos. Presione el botón de encendido para volver a encender la unidad. La trampa se
volverá a conectar automáticamente a la red wi.

3. Escanee el código de la trampa
Centre el código de la trampa en la ventana de la pantalla. El código de la trampa es
el código QR que se encuentra en la parte inferior de la trampa del ratón y en la parte
posterior de la trampa para ratas. Vea la página de “Preguntas frecuentes” para ver
imágenes de las ubicaciones de los códigos QR.
3. Escanee el código de la trampa (Continuación)
Si tiene problemas para escanear el código, intente cambiar la distancia entre la trampa
y el celular. También puede introducir manualmente el código alfanumérico de 15 dígitos
pulsando el texto “INTRODUCIR CÓDIGO MANUALMENTE” que se encuentra en la parte
inferior de la pantalla. Introduzca el número de serie que se encuentra junto al código QR de
su trampa.
4. Conecte el celular a la trampa
Vaya a los ajustes de wi de su aparato presionando el botón rojo “IR A LOS AJUSTES”.
Seleccione la trampa, que es VICTOR seguido de 15 dígitos alfanuméricos. (Ej: VICTOR-
WM170818BE00004). Pulse “Conectar” y luego el botón de retorno.

5. Conecte la trampa a la red wi
Seleccione la red wi a la que se va a conectar la trampa. Introduza la contraseña de la red
wi y pulse el botón rojo “Conectar”. Puede tardar hasta un minuto en conectarse.
6. Conectado
Aparece una noticación cuando la trampa se conecta con éxito. Presione el botón rojo
“Siguiente” y continúe con el paso número 8.
