IfyouhaveconnectedSiroccoCrossfiretoaPCsoundcard,make
suretheWindowsvolumecontrolisn’tsettomute,bydouble-
clickingthespeakericononyourWindowstaskbar.
Makesureallthecablesareproperlyconnected.
Thesoundhastoo muchortoolittlebass.
AdjusttheSubcontrolontheamplifier.
Ifyouraudiosourcehastonecontrols,setthemtoneutral.
Ifyouhavetoolittlebass,makesurethebassreflexport (thehole
atthefrontofthesubwoofer)isn’tobscured.
Makesurethesubwooferandsatellitesareproperlyconnected.
Thereissound,butitisveryquiet.
MakesuretheVolumecontrolontheamplifierisn’tsettoolow.
Ifyoursourcehasavolumecontrol,makesureitisn’tsettoolow.
Makesuretheaudiosourceisproperlyconnected.
IfyouhaveconnectedSiroccoCrossfiretoaPCsoundcard,make
suretheWindowsvolumecontrolisn’tsettoolow,bydouble-
clickingthespeakericononyourWindowstaskbar.
Audiosoundsdistorted.
Ifyoursourcehasavolumecontrol,makesureitisn’tsettoohigh.
Makesureyouareusingaline-levelaudiosource,andthatthe
signalisn’tbeingamplifiedbeforeitconnectstotheamplifier.
Makesureallthecablesareproperlyconnected.
Oneofthe speakersisn’tworking.
Youmayhavepushedthespeakercablesofarintothesocketat
thebackofthespeakeroramplifierthatthesocketcontactswith
thecable’sinsulatingjacketratherthanthemetalconnector.Pull
thecableoutuntilyouaresurethereisametal-to-metalcontact.
Icanhearbass effects whilelisteningtomusic
onsource2or3.
Youmayberunningyoursurroundsoundsourcewiththelow
frequencyeffects(LFE)channelstillactive.Eitherswitchoffthe
surroundsoundsource,pauseit,orstopit
Onlythefront speakersareworking,oronlythe
rearspeakersareworking.
Ifjustthefrontspeakersareworking,youmaybeusingstereo
Inputs2or3withtheQuadswitchout,oryoumayhavesetthe
Fadecontrolfullyclockwiseforfrontspeakersonly.
Ifjusttherearspeakersareworking,youmayhavesettheFade
controlfullyanti-clockwiseforrearspeakersonly.
Oneofthe satellitesisnotproducingsound.
Thiscouldbeaproblemwiththesatellite,theaudiosourceor
theamplifier.
Gothroughthesestepstofindoutwhich:
1. Swaptheleftand rightphonoleadsatthebackofthe
amplifier,forthestereopair(frontorrear).
Ifthesatelliteremainsdead,goto step2.
Ifthesatellitesswaptoo,thatis,thedeadsatellitebecomes
liveand the live satellitegoesdead,theproblemiswiththe
audiosourceorthecables,somakesurethesourceisworking
andthatthecablesareproperlyconnected.
2. Replacethephonoleadsastheywereonthebackofthe
amplifier.Nowswapalltherightsatellitecablesonthebackof
theamplifier withalltheleftsatellite cables.
Ifthesatelliteremainsdead,theproblemiswiththesatellite.
Ifthesatellitesswaptoo,thatis,thedeadsatellitebecomes
liveand the livesatellitegoesdead,thenthe problem iswith
theamplifier.
