PrinterUsage
• Ensureadequateventilationtotheprinter.
Blockingventilationopeningsaroundtheprintermaycauseittooverheatand
becomedamaged.
•Keepliquidsandheavyobjectsawayfromtheprinter.
Heavyobjectsmaywarptheoutershell,damagingtheprinter.Liquidsmay
discolorordamagetheskinand,iftheypenetrateit,maydamagetheprinter
beyondrepair.
• Useonlyauthorizedconsumables.
UseofanyprintheadotherthanauthorizedMemjettechnologyprintheadswill
damagetheprinterandvoidyourwarranty.Useofunauthorizedinksorink
cartridgesmaydamagetheprinterandwillvoidyourwarranty.
•Clearmediajamspromptly.
Toavoidfurtherproblems,promptlyattendtoallmediajams,aswellasany
othercauseofprinterfailure.

Printer>Warranty Registration.
Youwillberedirectedtothewarrantywebsite.
2. Followtheinstructionstoregister.
ChangeSecurityPasswords(Administrator)
Oncetheprinterhasbeensetup,anadministratorshouldchangethesecurity
passwordsusingtheEmbeddedWebServer(EWS).
1. OntheWindowsStartmenu,selectAll Programs>VIPColor>VIPColor VP7xx Label
Printer>Toolbox.
2. ClickVIPColor VP7xx Label Printertolaunchthedefaultwebbrowserandopenthe
EWSforyourprinter.
3. ClickLoginandloginwiththedefaultpassword123.
4. ClickSecurity SetuptochangethepasswordfortheEWSaswellasthepasswords
forthecontrolpanel(defaultpassword123).
SeeManagingPrinterSecurity(Administrator)onpage31formoreinformation
aboutsecurityonthisprinterandEmbeddedWebServer(EWS)onpage33onthe
EWS.
SetDateandTime
FromtheEWS,alsosetthedateandtimeontheprinterbysynchronizingwiththe
hostcomputer.ThisoptioncanbefoundinAdvanced Settings.

DHCPisenabledbydefault.IfDHCPisnotavailableandtheprinterisassigneda
staticIPaddress,setthestaticIPaddressfromthecontrolpanelbeforeinstallingthe
