VIPERconstantlyimproves itsproductsandreserves the right tomake changes and improvementsat its discretionwithout
being obliged to applysuchbenefits tothe machinesthat were previouslysold.
Anychangeand/or additionof accessoriesmust beapprovedandperformedbyVIPER.
OPERATIONCAPABILITIES
Allsingle-disccleaners aredesigned to clean and care forfloor coverings inside buildings only.The cleaners aresuitable for
commercialuse,e.g.in hotels,schools,hospitals,etc.
CONVENTIONS
Forward, backward, front, rear, left orrightand upare intended withreference totheoperator’sposition,that isto say in working
position withthe handle(2).
UNPACKING/DELIVERY
Tounpack the machine, carefully followtheinstructionsonthe packing.
When themachineisdelivered, checkthat the packingandthemachinewere not damaged duringtransportation.Incaseofvisible
damages,keep thepackingandhaveitchecked by thecarrier that deliveredit. Call thecarrier immediatelyto fillinadamage
claim. Check thatthe machineis equippedwiththefollowing features:

Specificwarnings and cautions to inform about potentialdamagestopeople and machineare shown below.
DANGER!
–Always disconnectthepowersupply cable whenthe machineisnotinuse,beforeperformingmaintenance
procedures, beforereplacingthe brush/pad-holder and beforeopening anyaccesspanel.
–Thismachine mustbeused byproperly trained andauthorisedpersonnelonly. Childrenor disabled peoplecannot
use this machine.
–Donotwearjewelswhen workingnearelectrical components.
–Donotworkundertheliftedmachinewithout supportingit with safety stands.
–Donotoperate the machinenear toxic,dangerous, flammableand/or explosive powders, liquidsorvapors.
WARNING!
–The machine power supply cableis groundedand the relevantplug is groundedtoo.In case ofmachine malfunction
or breakdown, groundingconnection reducestherisk ofelectric shock.
–The powersupplycableplug must beconnectedto anappropriateoutlet, which isgroundedaccordingtolaw in
force.

–To avoidanyrisk,if the powersupplycable is damaged,contactVIPERService Centeror aqualified technician.
–Donotpull orcarrythemachine by thepower supplycable and neverusethe powersupplycableasa handle.Do not
closea dooronthepower supplycable, or pullthe power supplycable aroundsharp edgesorcorners. Donot run
themachineon the power supplycable.
–Keep the powersupply cableawayfromheatedsurfaces.
–Toreducetherisk of fire,electric shock,orinjury, do not leavethemachineunattendedwhenit ispluggedin.
Disconnect themachine from the electrical mains when not inuse andbefore performingmaintenance procedures.
–To avoidelectric shock,donot expose the machine to rain orotherbadweatherconditions.Storethemachine
indoors, inadryplace.
–Donotallow tobe usedas a toy.Close attention isnecessary whenusednearchildren.
–Useonly as shownin this Manual. Use onlyVIPER's recommendedaccessories.
–Takeall necessaryprecautionstopreventhair,jewelsand loose clothesfrombeingcaughtby themachinemoving
parts.
–Donotleave the machineunattended without beingsure thatit cannot moveindependently.
–Donotusethemachine inparticularly dustyareas.
–Whileusingthismachine,takecare not tocausedamagetopeopleorobjects.
–Donotbump into shelves or scaffoldings,especiallywhere there is arisk of falling objects.
–Donotputany can containing fluidsonthe machine.
–The machine workingtemperaturemust bebetween 0°Cand +40°C.
–The machine storage temperaturemust bebetween0°C and +40°C.
–VIPER machinescanbeusedincombinationwith standarddetergentswhichcan not damageanymaterialsofVIPER
machines (no useofsolventsorotheraggressiveliquid materials). VIPERwillnot payanyclaims regardingusing
aggressivedetergentsin VIPERmachines.Ifyouneeda special detergentforcleaningpurposes, please contact your
VIPER dealer.

–The humiditymustbe between30% and 95%.
–Donotusethemachine asa meansoftransport.
–Donotusethemachine on slopeswithagradientexceedingthespecifications.
–Donotallow the brush/pad tooperatewhilethe machine is stationarytoavoiddamaging the floor.
–In case offire, use a powder fireextinguisher, nota waterone.
–Donottamper withthe machinesafetyguards andfollow theordinary maintenanceinstructionsscrupulously.
–Donotallow anyobjecttoenterintothe openings. Do not usethemachineif theopenings are clogged. Always keep
the openingsfreefrom dust, hairs andany otherforeignmaterialwhich couldreduce theair flow.
–Donotremove ormodifythe plates affixedto the machine.
–If the machineisused according to theinstructions,the vibrationsarenotdangerous. Themachine vibrationlevel is
less than2.5m/s
2 (98/37/EEC-EN 1033/1995).
–Thismachine cannotbe used on roadsorpublic streets.
–Payattention duringmachine transportation whentemperature isbelow freezingpoint.Thewater intherecoverytank
or in thehosescouldfreezeand seriouslydamagethemachine.
–Usebrushesandpadssupplied withthe machine and those specified inthe User Manual. Using other brushesor
padscouldreduce safety.
–In case ofmachine malfunctions,ensurethat theseare notduetolackofmaintenance. If necessary, request
assistancefrom theauthorizedpersonnelorfromanauthorizedVIPERService Center.
–If the machine

•is damaged
•haswater orfoam leaks
•has beenleftoutdoorsexposed tobadweather conditions
•is wetorhasbeendroppedinto water
–turnit off immediatelyandcontactVIPERServiceCenter or aqualifiedtechnician.
–If partsmust be replaced, require ORIGINALspare partsfroman authorized VIPERDealeror Retailer.
–To ensure machine properand safeoperation, the scheduledmaintenanceshownin the relevantchapterofthis
manualmustbe performed by theauthorizedpersonnel or byanauthorized VIPERService Center.
–Carefullyreadall theinstructionsbeforeperforminganymaintenance/repairprocedure.
–Donotwash the machinewithdirect or pressurizedwaterjets, orwith corrosivesubstances.
–The machine must be disposed of properly, becauseofthe presence of toxic-harmfulmaterials(batteries,electrical
components,etc.),whicharesubject tostandards thatrequiredisposal inspecialcenters (see Scrapping chapter).
–Caution:Thisappliance isnotsuitableforpicking up hazardous dust.

BEFORE STARTING THE MACHINE
ASSEMBLY
Fortransportreasonsthemotorhead and shaft aresupplied not assembled.
1]Insertthegearindexhousing(1)intothe “U”shape bracket(2).
2]Align the holesofthegearindexhousing and the “U”shape bracket.
3]Insertthesocketscrewsintothe holesofthe “U”shapebracketandthen
tightenthescrews.
4] Windthepowercordaroundthehandleandthe powercordhook.
TRANSPORT 1]Placethe handleintheuprightposition,Graspthehandlewithbothhands
andtipthecleaneruntilit standsonthe twowheels(1).
2] Wheelthecleanertowhereitisneeded.
OPERATIONOF THE MACHINE
BASIC OPERATION 1]Removeanyobstructionsorotherobstaclesinthearea whichistobe
cleaned.
2]Placethehandleinthe uprightpositionandtiltmachinebackuntilhandle
restsonthefloor.
*Besurethemachineisnotpluggedintoanoutlet.
3]Attachthepad driverorbrushtothemachinebyplacingthe clutchplate
overthegearboxhub andturning the driver/ brush1/4turn.
4] Placemachineback intoitsupright position.
5] Plugpowercordintoagroundedoutlet.
*Neveruse anextensioncord inconjunction withthestandardpower
cord.
6]Thehandleheightmaybeadjustedbypullingtheadjustmentlever(1)and
lowertheshaft (2)intoitscleaning position.
7]Tostart themachine,press the redsafetybutton (3)onthe top of the upper
switchhousingandthensqueezeeitheroftheoperatingtriggers(4/5),the
safetybutton (3)mustbedepressed priortosqueezing the operating
triggers(4/5).

9]Duringoperation,tomakethemachinegoright, gentlyraisethehandle.To
makethemachinegoleft,gentlylowerthe handle.
10]Tostopthemachineatanytime,simplyreleasethe operating triggerand
themachine will stopautomatically.
11]Unplug machineassoonasyouarenotusingit.
12] Tilt machinebackandremovepad driverorbrush.
13]Roll thepowercordaroundthehandleandthe powercordhook.
MAINTENANCE
Tokeepthemachineperformingwellformanyyears, pleasefollowthefollowing maintenanceprocedures.
*Alwaysconfirmthatthemachineisunpluggedprior toperforminganymaintenanceor repairs.
*Neverstorealowspeedmachinewiththepaddriverorbrushmountedtothemachine.
1]Cleantheoutside of themachinewithamildcleaner.
2]Checkpowercordforanydamage. Ifdamageisdetected, replacepowercordimmediately.
3]Lubricatewheelswithawaterresistantlubricant onceamonth.
4]Checkmachine forlooseormissing nutsandbolts,andreplaceasnecessary.
5]If themachineisusedinadustyenvironment,you mayremovethemotorcoverandblowthe motor,cleanwith
compressed air. Thiswill ensureproperventilation,andallowthemotortoruncooler.
STORAGE
1]Storeinuprightpositioninadryarea.
2]Storeinuprightpositioninadryarea.
Donotdisposeofelectricalappliancesasunsorted municipalwaste,useseparate
collectionfacilities.
