métiers du Sanitaire, du Génie climatique et de la Couverture vous accompagne dans votre
quotidien : Virax, pour que s’exprime votre Talent.
La cintreuse arbalète
Virax possède plus de 80 ans d’expérience dans la conception et la fabrication d’outillage
professionnels.
Grâce à son mécanisme breveté, l’effort exercé sur la poignée mobile est réduit de 25% sur un
tube cuivre de diamètre 22. Il est possible de cintrer d’une seule main les tubes multicouches
jusqu’au diamètre 32.
L’optimisation des matériaux a conduit à une réduction du poids de l’arbalète tout en améliorant
sa solidité. Les formes et les contre-formes en alliage léger permettent de cintrer le tube cuivre
encore chaud.
La cintreuse arbalète s’utilise très facilement, il suffit de manœuvrer alternativement la poignée
mobile pour cintrer puis de l’écarter de la poignée fixe pour déverrouiller le mécanisme d’avance.
La fixation des formes par clips est instantanée et élimine le risque de perte de la vis.

Consignes de sécurité générales
Choix de l’outil
−Utiliser l’outil adéquat.
−Ne pas utiliser les outils à des fins autres que les travaux pour lesquels ils ont été conçus.
Entretien et stockage
−Ranger vos outils dans un endroit sûr. Les outils non utilisés doivent être rangés dans un endroit sec et
fermé, hors de portée des enfants.
−Entretenir vos outils soigneusement. Maintenir vos outils propres afin de travailler mieux et plus
sûrement.
−Observer les indications relatives à l’entretien ainsi que les indications de changement d’accessoires.
−Maintenir les poignées sèches et exemptes d’huile et de graisse.
−Contrôler si l’outil est endommagé. Avant d’utiliser l’outil, vérifier toujours soigneusement le parfait
fonctionnement des pièces.
−Vérifier si le fonctionnement des pièces en mouvement est correct, si elles ne se grippent pas ou si
d’autres pièces sont endommagées. Tous les composants doivent être montés correctement et remplir
les conditions pour garantir le fonctionnement impeccable de l’outil. Tout dispositif de sécurité, tout
interrupteur ou toute autre pièce endommagé ou défectueux doit être réparé ou remplacé de manière
appropriée par un technicien qualifié.
−Attention ! Veiller à utiliser l’outil et ses accessoires conformément aux instructions de sécurité. Tenir
compte également des possibilités de l’outil en prêtant attention aux conditions de travail et à la tâche à
exécuter. L’utilisation de l’outil pour des tâches autres que celles prévues risque d’être dangereuse.
−Cet outil est conforme aux règles de sécurité en vigueur. Toutes les réparations doivent être effectuées
par des professionnels qualifiés avec des pièces détachées d’origine, faute de quoi l’utilisation de l’outil
peut représenter un danger pour l’utilisateur et annuler la garantie.
Instructions de sécurité pour l’utilisateur :
−Tenir les enfants éloignés. Ne pas permettre que d’autres personnes touchent l’outil ; les tenir éloignés
de votre aire de travail.
−Porter des vêtements de travail appropriés. Ne pas porter des vêtements larges ou des bijoux ; ils
pourraient être happés par des pièces en mouvement. Lors de travaux à l’air libre, il est recommandé de
porter des gants en caoutchouc et des chaussures à semelle antidérapante. Se coiffer d’un filet à
cheveux s’ils sont longs.
−Ne pas trop élargir votre rayon d’action. Eviter d’adopter une position fatigante pour le corps ; veiller à ce
que votre appui au sol soit ferme et conserver l’équilibre à tout moment.
−Etre toujours attentif. Observer votre travail, agir en faisant preuve de bon sens et ne pas employer
l’outil lorsque vous êtes fatigué.
Instructions de sécurité relatives à la zone de travail
−Maintenir de l’ordre dans votre aire de travail. Le désordre dans la zone de travail augmente le risque
d’accident.
−Tenir compte de l’environnement de la zone de travail.
−Veiller à ce que la zone de travail soit bien éclairée.

Utilisation
Important :
Veiller à recuire le tube sur la zone à cintrer, ne pas recuire le tube à l’endroit des contre-
formes (risque de déformation)
•Choisir la forme 1 et le flasque 2 en fonction du tube à cintrer.
•Placer la forme 1 en bout de crémaillère 4.
•Insérer le flasque 2 dans le logement 3.
•Orienter les contre-formes 5 correspondant au diamètre du tube à cintrer vers la forme.
•Placer le tube entre la forme et les contre-formes.
•Actionner la poignée mobile 6 afin de faire avancer la forme jusqu’à l’obtention de l’angle
de cintrage désiré (maximum 90°).
•Basculer la poignée mobile vers l’avant en exerçant un léger effort.
•Relâcher la poignée mobile et reculer la forme pour dégager le tube.
Maintenance et entretien
Maintenir l’arbalète propre après chaque utilisation.
Garanties
La garantie s’applique à tout vice de fabrication et reste limitée au remplacement des pièces
défectueuses, à l’exclusion de tous dommages et intérêts pour quelque cause que ce soit.
Notre garantie s’ajoute à la garantie légale des vices cachés telle que prévue par l’article 1641 à
1649 du code civil.
La garantie VIRAX est de 2 ans sur l’ensemble de sa gamme. Elle s’applique à tous les produits
utilisés dans les conditions normales d’utilisation. Elle est exclue en cas d’utilisation non-
conforme aux prescriptions du fabricant ou aux règles de l’art, usage contraire à leur destination,
négligence ou anomalie dans leur condition d’utilisation, modifications des produits.
Cette garantie s’applique à compter de la date de vente à l’utilisateur figurant sur le bon de
garantie retourné à VIRAX ou sur la facture du distributeur. Faute de retour du bon de garantie
ou de présentation d’une preuve d’achat, la garantie s’applique à la date de facturation de
VIRAX au distributeur.
En aucun cas, le changement d'une pièce reconnue défectueuse ne peut entraîner une
prolongation de la garantie.
Les retours doivent être effectués en PORT PAYE.

Crossbow bender
Virax has over 80 years experience of designing and manufacturing tools for professionals.
Its patented mechanism reduces by 25% the force required on the handle to bend a 22 mm
diameter copper pipe. PEX/AL/PEX pipes up to 32 mm diameter can be bent using only one
hand.
The optimisation of the materials used in its construction have resulted in a crossbow bender
that is lighter yet stronger. The lightweight alloy formers and counter-formers can bend pipes
while they are still hot.
The crossbow bender is very easy to use, simply by working the operating handle to for the bend
then moving it away from the fixed handle to unlock the ratchet mechanism.
The forms instantly clip into place, preventing the loss of screws.

General safety instructions
Choosing the tool
−Always use the correct tool for the job.
−Do not use tools for any other purpose than that for which they have been designed.
Maintenance and storage
−Store your tools in a safe place. When not in use, tools should be stored in a dry, closed
place, out of reach of children.
−Carefully maintain your tools. Keep them clean for better and safer performance.
−Follow the maintenance instructions as well as the recommendations regarding the
changing of accessories.
−Keep the handles dry and free of oil or grease.
−Check the tool for damage. Before using the tool, always carefully check that its various
parts are operating properly.
−Check for incorrect operation of moving parts, seizing of moving parts and breakage of
parts. Check for proper mounting of all parts and any other conditions that may prevent the
perfect operation of the tool. Any guard, switch or other part that is damaged or defective
should be properly repaired or replaced by a qualified technician.
−Warning! Use the tool and its accessories in accordance with these safety instructions. Also
remain within the limits of the tool, taking into account the working conditions and the task
to be performed. Using tools for other than the intended tasks can be dangerous.
−This tool is in accordance with all the relevant safety rules. All repairs must be performed by
qualified persons using original manufacturer's spare parts. Failure to do so may be
dangerous for the user and cancel the warranty.
User safety instructions:
−Keep children away from the tools. Do not allow other people to touch the tool. Keep them
away from your work area.
−Wear appropriate clothing. Do not wear loose clothing or jewellery, as they can be caught in
moving parts. Rubber gloves and non-slip footwear are recommended when working out of
doors. Long hair should be worn in a hair net.
−Do not overreach. Avoid adopting a tiring position. Keep proper footing and balance at all
times.
−Be constantly alert. Pay attention to the task, use common sense and do not operate the
tool when tired.
Safety instructions regarding the work area
−Keep the work area tidy. A cluttered work area increases the risk of injury.
−Consider the work area environment.
−Keep the work area well lit.

Using the crossbow bender
Important:
Anneal the pipe over the section to be bent, do not anneal those parts of the pipe in
contact with the counter-formers (risk of deformation)
•Select the former 1 and the cheek 2 to suit the pipe to be bent.
•Place the former 1 at the end of the rack 4.
•Insert the cheek 2 in the housing 3.
•Turn the counter-formers 5 corresponding to the diameter of the pipe towards the former.
•Place the pipe between the former and the counter-formers.
•Work the operating handle 6 to drive the former forward until the desired bending angle is
achieved (maximum 90°).
•Apply slight pressure to the operating handle to swing it forward.
•Release the operating handle and move back the former to remove the pipe.
Servicing and maintenance
Clean the crossbow bender after each use.
Guarantee
The guarantee covers faulty manufacture and is limited to the replacement of defective parts.
Damages of any type are excluded, regardless of circumstances.
Our guarantee is in addition to, the statutory guarantee against hidden defects provided for in
articles 1641 to 1649 of the French civil code (code civil).
The warranty period is 2 years on all VIRAX products. It applies to all tools used under normal
conditions. It does not cover damage resulting from failure to comply with the manufacturer's
instructions or accepted good practice, inappropriate use, negligence, abnormal conditions of
use or unauthorised alterations to the products.
This guarantee shall apply from the date of sale indicated on the guarantee card returned to
VIRAX or on the distributor's invoice.. In the event of failure to return the guarantee card or
absence of proof of purchase, the guarantee shall apply from the date of the invoice from VIRAX
to the distributor.
The replacement of a part accepted as defective shall not, under any circumstances, lead to an
extension of the guarantee
Goods must be returned CARRIAGE PAID.

Das Armbrust-Biegegerät
Virax besitzt mehr als 80 Jahre Erfahrung in der Entwicklung und Herstellung professioneller
Werkzeuge.
Dank seines patentierten Mechanismus ist die bei einem Kupferrohr vom Durchmesser 22 auf
den beweglichen Griff ausgeübte Kraft um 25 % reduziert. Man kann mit einer Hand
Mehrschichtenrohre bis zum Durchmesser 32 biegen.
Die Optimierung der Werkstoffe hat zur Reduzierung des Gewichts der Armbrust bei
gleichzeitiger Verbesserung ihrer Festigkeit geführt. Die Formen und Gegenformen aus einer
Leichtmetalllegierung erlauben das Biegen eines noch warmen Kupferrohres.
Das Armbrust-Biegegerät ist sehr leicht zu bedienen; es genügt, zum Biegen abwechselnd den
beweglichen Griff zu betätigen und ihn dann vom festen Griff abzuspreizen, um den
Vortriebsmechanismus zu entriegeln.
Die Befestigung der Formen mit Clips geschieht augenblicklich und beseitigt das Risiko,
Schrauben zu verlieren.

Allgemeine Sicherheitsanweisungen
Wahl des Werkzeugs
−Wählen Sie das geeignete Werkzeug.
−Verwenden Sie Werkzeuge nicht zu anderen Zwecken als zu den Arbeiten, für die sie bestimmt sind.
Wartung und Lagerung
−Bewahren Sie Ihre Werkzeuge an einem sicheren Ort auf. Nicht verwendete Werkzeuge müssen an
einem trockenen und verschlossenen Ort aufbewahrt werden, außer Reichweite von Kindern.
−Pflegen Sie Ihre Werkzeuge sorgfältig. Halten Sie Ihre Werkzeuge sauber, um besser und sicherer
arbeiten zu können.
−Beachten Sie die Pflegehinweise sowie die Anweisung zum Austausch des Zubehörs.
−Halten Sie die Griffe trocken und frei von Öl und Fett.
−Kontrollieren Sie, ob das Werkzeug beschädigt ist. Vor Verwendung des Werkzeugs überprüfen Sie
sorgfältig die einwandfreie Funktion der Teile.
−Überprüfen Sie, ob die Funktion der bewegten Teile korrekt ist; ob sie nicht greifen oder ob andere Teile
beschädigt sind. Alle Bestandteile müssen korrekt montiert sein und die Bedingungen für eine tadellose
Funktion des Werkzeugs erfüllen. Jede Sicherheitseinrichtung, jeder Schalter oder jedes andere Teil
müssen, wenn sie beschädigt oder defekt sind, in geeigneter Weise von einem qualifizierten Fachmann
repariert oder ersetzt werden.
−Achtung! Achten Sie darauf, das Werkzeug und sein Zubehör entsprechend den
Sicherheitsbestimmungen zu verwenden. Berücksichtigen Sie auch die Möglichkeiten des Werkzeugs,
indem Sie auf die Arbeitsbedingungen und die auszuführende Arbeit achten. Der Gebrauch des
Werkzeugs zu anderen Aufgaben als den vorgesehenen könnte gefährlich sein.
−Dieses Werkzeug entspricht den geltenden Sicherheitsvorschriften. Alle Reparaturen müssen von
qualifizierten Fachleuten mit Original-Ersatzteilen durchgeführt werden; sonst kann der Gebrauch des
Werkzeugs eine Gefahr für den Anwender darstellen und die Garantie aufheben.

−Tragen Sie geeignete Arbeitskleidung. Tragen Sie keine weite Kleidung oder Schmuck; sie könnten von
bewegten Teilen erfasst werden. Bei Arbeiten im Freien wird empfohlen, Gummihandschuhe und
Schuhe mit rutschfesten Sohlen zu tragen. Bei langen Haaren ein Harrnetz tragen.
−Breiten Sie Ihren Arbeitsbereich nicht zu weit aus. Vermeiden Sie es, eine körperlich ermüdende
Stellung einzunehmen; achten Sie auf festen Stand und bewahren Sie jederzeit das Gleichgewicht.
−Seien Sie immer aufmerksam. Achten Sie auf Ihre Arbeit; handeln Sie mit Umsicht und verwenden Sie
das Werkzeug nicht, wenn Sie ermüdet sind.
Sicherheitsanweisungen bezüglich des Arbeitsbereiches
−Halten Sie Ordnung in Ihrem Arbeitsbereich. Unordnung erhöht das Unfallrisiko.
