5 Chargeur et batteries
Avant de commencer le travail avec l'outil, prenez connaissance des particularités de son fonctionnement et des conditions de sécurité à

6 Consignes de travail
Cet outil électroportatif est alimenté par une batterie 18V. Les brouillages radiophoniques sont conformes à la Directive de compatibilité

Utilisation : (visuels en pages 6 et 7)
1 - Insérez la batterie (13) (1).
2 - Installez la forme de cintrage (9) et la contre-forme (11) correspondantes au Ø du tube à cintrer.
3 - Placez le tube à cintrer dans la gorge de la forme (9). Ouvrir éventuellement le crochet de forme (10) pour faciliter la
mise en place. -

8 Dépannage

3 General safety warnings for the tool
WARNING:

3.1 Working zone safety
Keep the working zone clean and well lit.
Poorly lit or untidy zones are sources of accidents.

3.3 Safety
Stay alert, watch what you are doing and use
common sense.
Do not use a tool when you are tired or are under
the influence of drugs, alcohol or medication.
Failure to pay attention even for a moment when using the tool may
cause serious injury.
Use safety equipment. Always wear safety
glasses.
Safety equipment such as dust masks, non-slip safety shoes,
helmets or acoustic protection used for the appropriate
conditions will reduce all risk of injury.
Avoid any unplanned start-up.
Do not carry the tool with one finger on the trigger when it is running, as
this may cause accidents.
Do not rush. Keep a suitable position and
balance at all time.
This will enable better control over the tool in unexpected situations.

jewellery. Keep hair, clothes and gloves away from
moving parts.

3.4 Using the tool

3.5 Maintaining the tool

4 Specific safety instructions

4.1 Precautions when using the machine
Never try to adjust or change the accessories
without disconnecting the battery.
Omitting to disconnect the battery before adjusting or changing
accessories may cause severe body injury.
Do not use the tool when its battery is damaged.
A damaged battery increases the risk of electric shock.
Do not insert fingers between the pipe and the
form or counter form when bending.
Inserting fingers between moving parts can cause serious body injury.
Make sure there is enough space to rotate the
pipe before starting the bending process.
The pipe and its extremity when rotated can cause serious body injuries.

4.2 Battery and charger

4.3 Disposing of the batteries

5 Charger and batteries
Before using the tool, read the instructions on its specific operation and safety conditions applicable. The tool and its accessories must be
used only for the work they were designed for. Any other use is strictly forbidden.

charged. To warranty an optimum lifetime, we recommend to charge the
battery at maximum capacity every time. The charging time is about 40min
(battery 2 Ah).

IMPORTANT NOTES:
The temperature of the battery increases when it is used with the machine. If the battery is charged immediately after use, it
will not be fully charged. The battery should be allowed to cool before recharging.

6 Work instructions

This power tool has been designed to bend pipes up to 180°. See description of the pipes in the Technical Data section.
Use : (Visuals on pages 6 and 7)
1 - Insert the battery (13) until you hear the locking button (1) click.
2 - Place the bending form (9) and the counter-form (11) corresponding to the Ø of the pipe to be bent.
3 - Place the pipe to be bent in the groove of the bending form (9). If necessary, open the form hook (10) to make it easier
to place. Move the counter-form (11) with the tightening wheel (5) until the pipe is moderately tightened.
Beware finger crushing.
The 0° mark of the form (9) must be aligned with the mark of the counter-form (11).
4 - Engage the clutch by positioning the lever (6) up. Make sure the reversing switch (3) is downwards (clockwise rotation
of the form).
Before starting the bending process, make sure the pipe is correctly positioned in the form (9) and in contact with
the entire surface of the counter form (11).
5 - Press the trigger (2) to start bending.
Beware finger crushing.
Maintain until the desired bending angle is achieved by aligning the graduation marks of the form (9) with the mark of the
counter form (11).
Consider the elasticity of the pipe to be bent.
6 - Loosen the pipe with the counter-form tightening wheel (5) sufficiently to be able to extract the pipe. If necessary, open
the form hook (10) to make it easier to remove the pipe. Take out the pipe.
7 - To return the bending form (9) to its initial position, disengage the bending machine by positioning the clutch lever (6)
down. Manually return the bending form (9) to its initial position at 0°.
Note: You can also use the motorized reverse (by placing the reversing switch (3) down for clockwise rotation of the
form), but this is slower and consumes battery power.
Tips:
When bending a long length of pipe, it is recommended to support the end of the pipe with a tripod.
For repeated optimal bending of large diameter pipes, the use of a 4.0 Ah battery (Ref. 253541) is recommended.
Do not bend more than 180°, otherwise it will not be possible to extract the pipe from the form.
For working at ground level, use the optional tripod, Ref. 251809. The machine can be placed in a horizontal or vertical
position depending on the size and orientation of the pipe to be bent.
Make sure there is enough space for the pipe rotation before starting the bending.
Disconnect the battery from the machine before storing it in the Virabox.

7 Servicing and maintenance
WARNING: disconnect the battery before any adjustment or maintenance operation.
Check regularly all the fastening elements to ensure they are fastened tight.
Do not over-grease the counter-form adjustment screw, use a light application of grease with a brush.
Check regularly the good condition of the forms and counter forms.
Make sure the engine cooling vents are not obstructed. Remove the accumulation of dust and other impurities. Do not insert sharp objects.
Compressed air is effective for cleaning.
Do not let any liquid enter the engine cooling vents.
Repair work on the charger may only be carried out by a specialist!

8 Troubleshooting
WARNING: Leaving the battery connected before adjusting or changing accessories may cause severe body injury.

Repeated overloading can lead to serious electrical
and/or mechanical damage.
The speed suddenly drops due to a mechanical
blockage, the machine goes to safety and stops
automatically.
Stop the machine with the trigger and restart work
normally. If the problem persists, contact Virax SAS.
The motor turns
but the bending
form does not
turn.
The clutch lever is in the wrong position or is not
properly engaged.
Check that the clutch is in the correct position or fully
engaged. If the problem persists, contact Virax SAS.
