Drill or cut a square hole on the ceiling panel. The dimensions are shown below.
The thickness of ceiling panel can be between 5 to 25.4mm.
Remove the original mount screws from the back of SC8131 camera. 3Secure the camera to the main bracket by driving 2 M3x8 screws.
4Put the in-ceiling bracket into the square hole.
Do not remove the protective sheet on the camera lenses until the installation is
done.
5Jot down the camera's MAC address before proceeding with the installation.

The ribbed side is on top of ceiling panel.

7Connect the safety tether wire from the in-ceiling bracket to the main bracket.
6Drive 2 screws (M3x20) to the mounting holes on the in-ceiling bracket.
Route and connect an Ethernet cable to the camera's RJ45 port, if you already
mount the ceiling panel.
8Match the keyhole slots to the installed screws. 9Install the camera and the main bracket by aligning the key slot holes with the
screw heads. Slide the main bracket to the left and secure the bracket with another
2 M3 screws.
Tilt the camera and use tools such as a spirit level to ensure the camera is installed
level.

11 12 Tighten the tilt retention screws when camera is level.
If the ceiling panel is thicker than 20mm, use the copper hex stando󰀨 spacers
instead.
if ≥ 20mm
The bracket can also be installed without the in-ceiling bracket using the 4 holes
on the corners.

Install the trim panel, and attach the screw cap stickers.

Remove the protective sheet in front of the camera. Measure the distance (installation height) between the camera lens and the
ground.
Visist VIVOTEK's website and download the Shepherd utitlity. Run and use the
Shepherd utility to nd the camera in a local network.
Open a web console to the camera. Start your conguration such as entering the camera's installation height.
