VIVREAU VITAP SYSTEM
COMMISIONING INSTRUCTIONS
Confirm that the proper services are available. The water supply must be a ½” water line with a
½” threaded ball valve female end. Anything smaller than ½” is not acceptable and should
never be used. The electrical outlet must be within
the range of the power cord of the machine, extension cords should never be used. CO2 is also
provided by the customer in either a tank or with a line from a bulk or remote system. If
connecting to an existing system the customer must provide a ¼” barbed shutoff within 40” of
the installation. Check for proper top and bottom ventilation, drain and countertop holes.
If any of the required services are missing/incorrect or if you have any questions regarding the
commissioning instructions, please call 877-999-1044 option #5, and someone from our Tech
Support Team will provide further instructions.
Open packaging and check for any damage, check that all parts are included
by using the supplied diagram. Do not make any connections yet.
Lay out all components inside the cabinet to confirm spacing and positioning
of equipment. The LED display on the main unit should face out and be visible.
Install the ViTap Font using supplied installation kit.
Connect Water line to street water outlet using supplied kit and diagram. All water and
filter connections should be made using the supplied diagram. Water supply must be 1/2"
supply.
Fill chiller water tank by removing the front plug and using the cold water
supply line. Fill until water runs back out of the fill tube. Let all residual
water exit the fill tube before replacing the plug.
Connect street water pipe to the machine and insulate the pipe fully, but do not turn the
water on just yet. A minimum water supply of 55psi should be supplied to the machine or the
dispense operation will become slow and may need a booster pump.
*If installing a Vi2H water connections to the Mavea filter should be made now. Be sure to
flush 10 liters of water through the filter before connecting to the boiler. Connect the Mavea
filter to the boiler using the supplied parts and diagram.

Mount the CO2 regulator in a secure location not subject to damage. Connect the high
pressure hose to the customer supplied CO2 tank, make sure the provided washer and
wrench are in place. Connect the CO2 line to the main unit using the supplied clamps, braided
line and fitting. Turn on the tank and confirm the setting is between 65 and 70psi, adjust if
necessary. Carefully check for CO2 leaks.
Insulate and connect the 5/16" line from the ViTap to the main unit using the supplied John
Guest fitting. *If installing a Vi2H now connect the hot water line from the boiler to the ViTap
using the silicone tubing and clamps, cut as needed.
Connect the wire harness and ground wire from the ViTap to the main unit.
*If installing a Vi2H connect the wire harness from the main unit to the boiler. For the Vi2
model the boiler wire harness is not used and should be left as is.
Connect the ViTap drain and the vent tube drain(5/16" tubing on the main unit) to the
customer supplied drain.
Hang provided "Do Not Use" sign on the tap.
Remove the 3M filter and fill the service cartridge(located in Vivreau Tech Kit) with 2ml of
BTF Idopher using the provided syringe(wear safety glasses) and connect to the filter head.
Now turn on the water supply.
Make sure the cleaning mode switch is in the off position. Plug in
power supply for main unit and boiler(Vi2H only). With the system on
and the cleaning mode switch off the CO2 light on the main unit
should light up and beep.
*The boiler power light should be bright green. The ready light
should be light green now and bright green once temperature has been reached. Refer to
the boiler manual for additional information.
Touch and hold the Still button(blue) and dispense until sanitizing solution appears, release
the still button. Now turn cleaning switch to on position.
Check for leaks on all fittings.

Allow the sanitizing solution to be in the system for no less than 10 minutes before
flushing at least 5 liters of water from each of the Still and Sparkling.
Turn off the water supply and touch the Still button until the water stops running, release
the button. Remove the service cartridge and refit the 3M filter. Turn the water supply
back on.
Touch the Still button and flush water through until it runs clear and no air bubbles can
be seen. Turn the cleaning switch to off again.
Touch the Sparkling button and flush until just CO2 gas appears. Switch cleaning mode
switch back on and allow to fill before switching it back off. Touch the Sparkling button
again until just CO2 gas appears.
Repeat this process at least 3times to ensure all sanitizer has been flushed out.
Both Still and Sparkling water should now be fully flushed and free of sanitizing solution
and air bubbles. Visually check and taste test from both taps. Repeat flushing from both
taps if needed.
Both the Still and Sparkling flow rates have been set at the factory. The
water should pour smooth with little splash(sparkling water may not be smooth if not
fully chilled. If needed the flow rates can be adjusted with
an allen key on the back of the main unit near the water outlet tube.
These procedures should take around 1 hour and you should notice the water
temperature getting colder depending on the surrounding
ambient temperature.
*Vi2H Only. Check that the boiler has now reached temperature. The ready light should
now be bright green.
*Caution the hot water feature dispenses hot water near boiling temperatures. Use care
when flushing hot water to avoid burns.
*Flush 2 liters of hot water from the tap by touching the hot(red) button once and
touching and holding a second time.

Check once more for leaks.
Check the condenser air grill is clear and has adequate air flow.
Make sure the surfaces are clean, Still and Sparkling water is taste tested, and all
functions are fully tested before training the customer on using the ViTap.
Remove "Do Not Use" sign.
Make sure to completely fill out the Vivreau Installation Checklist recording all information
needed, including the serial number and accurate system location.
