CHARGING
INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE
Please fully charge the Cylon Speaker before using for the first time.
Please use supplied DC 5 V / 1 A current safety standards charger.
Make sure it is plugged in fully. When the battery symbol on the
front LED display is flashing, please charge immediately. When the
battery symbol is solid, the speaker is charging. The battery symbol
will turn off when fully charged. While charging is in progress, the
charging LED indicator will be on and will turn off once the speaker
is fully charged.
NOTE: The Red LED on the back of Cylon speaker will turn on.
Turning On and Off
To turn on, flick the power switch to the “On” position. Start-up
Audio will play. To turn off, flick the power switch to the “Off”
position.
Pairing with Bluetooth®devices
Your speaker must be paired to a Bluetooth®device before it can
be used. It is only necessary to pair your speaker once with each
device.
1. Open the Bluetooth®menu on the device you wish to pair (see
“Locating the Bluetooth®Menu” for more details). Some devices
require you to select “Search for Devices” or “Add New Device”
in order to create a Bluetooth®pairing.
2. Press the “MODE” Button to switch to Bluetooth®displayed as
“bt” on the speaker.
3. Wait until you see “Cylon Speaker” on your device screen.

4. Select “Cylon Speaker” on your device and follow any further
prompts to pair. Once pairing is complete and a connection is
established, the speaker will beep once.
Connecting with Paired Devices
Once the Cylon Speaker is turned on, it will automatically connect
with the last paired Bluetooth®device that is on and within range.
If the Cylon Speaker does not connect automatically, open the
Bluetooth®menu on your device and select “Cylon Speaker” from
the Bluetooth®device list.
NOTE: If you are unsure on how to access your Bluetooth®menu
on your device, please refer to your device’s instruction manual.
Modes
To switch between modes, short press the “MODE” button.
NOTE: When powered on, the Cylon speaker will retain the last
selected mode.
Controls
To navigate between the USB, Bluetooth®and FM Modes, long
press the “Play / Pause” button.

Note: In order to get the best FM signal, use the aux cable as an

Hands Free Calling
To answer a call while connected to the Cylon speaker via
Bluetooth®, short press the “Play / Pause” button. To end or
ignore the call, long press the “Play / Pause” button.

USB / Micro SD Card Mode
Insert the USB / Micro SD Card. Use controls to navigate through
songs. To select, repeat all, repeat one and random, short press the
“Repeat / FM Channel” button.
NOTE: The speaker will automatically be put on to USB / Micro SD
mode when a USB / Micro SD is plugged in.
Aux Mode
Plug one end of the included stereo audio cable into the aux port on
the speaker and the other end into the headphone / line-in port.
NOTE: The speaker will automatically be put onto aux mode when
the aux cable is plugged in.
Light Control
To turn on the lights, short press the “Light” button. To turn off the
lights, long press the “Light” button.
1.My mobile phone can’t find any new Bluetooth®devices?
a. Ensure the device has entered the pairing mode.
b. Ensure the device is within effective working range.
2.Bluetooth®device can’t pair up?
Ensure your mobile phone allows new connections and has
not reached the maximum number of allowed devices.

3.The device does not play music or answer calls when it is
connected to a Bluetooth®mobile phone.
a. Ensure your mobile phone supports A2DP and HSF
(Hands-Free) profiles.
b. Ensure your mobile phone is within effective working range.
4.When paired with my computer, Windows®asks for a new
driver. Can you supply this?
We recommend you find compatible drivers for your
computer online.
5.Why can I not remotely control the Pause / Play / Previous /
Next functions when music is playing?
a. When you are using 3.5 mm aux connection, you can’t
pause, change volume or skip tracks.
b. This feature needs the Bluetooth®device paired with the
speaker to support AVRCP (Audio / Video Remote Control
Profile). Please ensure your device supports this.
• The product should only be used with the parts provided by the
manufacturer.
• Never use your speaker near water or in areas where it can come
into contact with water. Never handle the speaker if it was
dropped in water or any other liquid. If the product comes into
contact with water while switched off, but is still plugged in, it
is a safety hazard.
• Always make sure your hands are dry before touching the plug or
power connections.
• Do not operate the product with a damaged cord or plug, or after
it malfunctions, has been dropped, or damaged in any manner.

• This speaker is not intended for use by children, or persons
with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack
of experience and knowledge, unless they have been given
supervision or instruction concerning use of the device by
a person responsible for their safety. Extreme caution must be
exercised.
• Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play
with the speaker. Packaging must never be left within reach of
children, since it is potentially dangerous.

This Volkano speaker comes with a standard 12 limited month
warranty against manufacturing defects and faults. Should your
Volkano speaker be unboxed with any faulty parts, poor finishing or
visible damage, or fail to perform due to a manufacturing defect or
poor workmanship, please return it with your proof of purchase (till
slip or invoice) to the store of purchase for an exchange, or repair,
depending on the store’s returns policy.
This warranty commences from the date of purchase.
Kindly retain your proof of purchase as well as the packaging for
your warranty period.
NOTE:
The warranty does not apply to products that:
a.) Has failed due to excessive wear and tear beyond what is
considered to be reasonable.
b.) Has been misused or neglected.
c.) Has been damaged accidentally or by acts of God including fire
and flooding.
d.) Has been used or operated contrary to operating or
maintenance instructions outlined in this manual.
