Intended Usage
The VonShef® Pressure cooker is intended for use in
private households. It is not intended for use in
commercial or industrial environments.
Safety instructions
•Read all instructions and make clear everything in
this manual before use.
•Always keep the regulator, regulator vent pipe, safety
valve, sealant ring, lid and cooker body free of greasy
dirt and residue.
•Do not touch hot surfaces. Use handles or knobs.
•Close supervision is necessary when the pressure
cooker is used near the children.
Pressure cookers are only for normal adults, not for
disabled.
•Heat up the cooker by fire from the cooker bottom.
Other methods are not allowed.
•Use the pressure cooker after hearing a clatter sound
of proper shut of the lid.
•Extreme caution must be used when moving a
pressure cooker with pressure inside.
•Do not knock, shake, etc.
•Pressure cookers are for domestic use, as for
steaming and cook food. Do not use pressure cooker to
fry, bake food.
•This appliance cooks under pressure. Improper use
may result in scalding injury.
•Be aware that expandable foods, such as applesauce,
cranberries, pearl barley, oatmeal cookers can foam,
froth, and sputter, and clog the pressure release
device.
•Substances such as baking soda, too much vegetable
oil and alcohol cannot be cooked with pressure cooker.
•After cooking meat with a skin (e.g. ox tongue) which
may swell under the effect of pressure, do not prick
the meat while the skin is swollen; you might be
scalded.
•When cooking doughy food, gently shake the cooker
before opening the lid to avoid food ejection.
•Use pressure cooker only on range placed on
steady level. Flames should not exceed the plan
wall. If s not for strong fire.
•Pressure cooker should be put evenly on the
range.
•When cooking on an electrical stove, make sure
the range is smaller than the cooker bottom.
When cooking on gas stove, make sure no flame
on the side body.
•Check the pressure release device before using,
and make sure the pressure cooker is in good
working condition.
•Do not open the pressure cooker until it has
cooled and all internal pressure has been released.
If the handles are difficult to apart, this indicates
that the cooker is still pressurized - do not force it
open. Any pressure in the cooker can be
hazardous.
•Do not use pressure cooker to store sugar, alkali,
salt, vinegar, steam water etc.
Clean and dry the cooker after use.
•Do not boil the empty pot.
•Do not point the safety cavity to people.
•Do not tamper with any other safety systems
beyond the maintenance instructions specified in
the instructions for use.
•When the cooker is damaged or shows
abnormal, stop using immediately. Get it repaired
in the service department.
•Parts of the cooker can be neither modified nor
refitted. For repair, please contact your local
dealer.
•Only use manufacture's spare parts in
accordance with the relevant model. In particular,
use a body and a lid from the same manufacturer
indicated being compatible.
•Limited volume for food.
• Do not fill the unit over 2/3 full non-expandable
foods such as vegetables and meat.
• When cooking foods that expand during cooking
such as rice, legume or dried vegetables, do not fill
the unit over 1/2 full.
•Do not cover the regulator with heavy objects.
