important information about safety, use, and disposal.
Before using the product, please familiarize yourself
with all operating and safety instructions. Please keep
all documents for future reference and pass these
documents on, together with the product, to any
future owner. Please refer to vornado.jp for the most
current version of our owner’s guide.

INTENDED USE: This product is intended to circulate
the air in indoor living spaces only. This product is not
intended for commercial or industrial uses.
The manufacturer assumes no responsibility for
damage caused by failure to follow these instructions
or improper product use. Any such actions will
invalidate the product warranty.
WARNING – When using electrical appliances, basic
precautions should always be followed to reduce
the risk of re, electric shock and injury to persons,
including the following:

This appliance can be used by children aged from
12 years and above. This appliance is not intended
for use by persons (including children) with reduced
physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of
experience and knowledge, unless they have been

of the appliance by a person responsible for their
safety. Children should be supervised to ensure that
they do not play with the appliance.

Do Not use this product outdoors or directly
exposed to weather.

Do Not use this device if condensation is present.
If the product is brought in from the cold to a warm
area (e. g., during transport), condensation can
occur within the unit. Let the device reach room
temperature, before using it.

Do Not use this product on wet surfaces. Do not use
this product in a bathtub, shower or locate product
where it may fall into a bathtub, laundry, swimming
pool or other water container.

Do Not immerse this product in water or allow
water to drip into the motor housing.

Do Not use near furnaces, replaces, stoves or
other high-temperature heat sources.
-
Do Not position this product too close to draperies
or other loose fabrics as they may be drawn into the
product, cutting off airow and damaging the motor.

Do Not carry this product by the cord, or use the
cord as a handle as it can damage internal wiring. Do
not unplug product by pulling on cord or place the
cord under strain. To unplug, grasp the plug, not the
power cord.

Do Not run cord under carpeting. Do not cover
cord with throw rugs, runners, or similar coverings.

Do Not route cord under furniture or appliances.
Arrange cord away from trafc area and where it
will not be tripped over. To avoid a tripping hazard,
safely coil/store the power cord.

Do Not tamper with or modify this product in any
way.
-
Do Not allow the power cord to come in contact
with water or wet locations.
-
Do Not place power cord near heat sources, such as
heaters or radiators.
ELECTRICAL CONNECTION: Only a proper
100V~50Hz / 60Hz AC outlet may be used to connect
to public power supply.
DANGER
Risk from Electrical Shock. Contact with wires
or components that are under voltage could be
potentially fatal!

Do Not touch the product with wet or damp hands.

If the power cord or plug is damaged, or if the
product is damaged due to malfunction or dropping
in any manner, stop use immediately. Due to the risk
of electrical shock, all servicing requests should be
made with NF Imports.

Do Not stretch the power cord or put the cord
under strain.
-
Ensure that the fan is switched off from the supply
mains before removing the guard.
-
Do not insert or allow foreign objects to enter any
input or output opening as they may cause risk of
electric shock or re, or damage the product.
-
Turn off all controls before unplugging. Unplug from
wall outlet if not in use for extended periods of time.
-
Do Not open appliance housing while product is
plugged in. To avoid risk of shock, all service and/
or repairs must be done by a Vornado Authorized
Service Center. Only original replacement parts may
be used.

For safety reasons, always unplug the unit in the
event of a thunderstorm.
WARNING
Risk from Improper Installation. Please take
care to follow these guidelines to avoid risks to
people or property.

Ensure that wall power outlet is easily accessible so
unit can be disconnected during an emergency.

To reduce the risk of re or electrical shock, do not
use this product with any external (solid state) speed
control device.

To reduce the risk of re or electric shock and injury
to persons, do not use in a window.

GETTING STARTED
BASE ASSEMBLY
1. Loosen the pivot knobs (A) by turning each counter-clockwise.
2. Insert the base between the large rubber washer (B) and the small metal washer (C).
3. Once both sides of the base are installed, tighten the pivot knobs by turning clockwise.

Note: Hang product from sturdy location using large screws that will
support product. Be careful not to hang the product in such a way
that it prevents normal fan operation or damages the cord. Keep the
electrical cord safely routed to avoid being tripped over or pulled.
Avoid placing the product where it could be easily bumped.
HOW TO USE
WALL MOUNT INSTALLATION
1. Locate the Key Holes (A) on the back of the product.
2. Find and mark two circles on the wall where the product
will be mounted. The circles need to be 12.7 cm apart
from center to center.
NOTE: It is recommended to mount the EXO51 on a solid
surface or wall stud. Do NOT hang the product on the
ceiling. Use drywall anchors if a stud is not available.
3. Drill 2 #10 panhead screws into the wall (screws not
included). Screws should be weight rated for 4.5 kg
vertical load each.
4. Leave about 6 mm of each screw exposed.
5. Place the wide portions of the Key Holes over the heads
of the 2 screws.
6. Slide the product down until the screws are inside the
narrow portion of the key holes and the product is
secured to surface.

CLEANING
GRILLE REMOVAL Screwdriver required.
1. Remove the 6 screws located on the front of
the grille.
2. Dust or wash the Front Grille with a mild
dishwashing soap. Do not place grille in the
dishwasher. The excessiveheat can distort the
plastic.
3. To reattach - align the 6 screw holes and
replace all the screws.
Use the brush attachment on your household
vacuum cleaner to vacuum any accumulated
dust off the Front Grille and Air Inlets.
Note: The motor is permanently lubricated
and requires no oiling.

WARNING: To reduce the risk of electrical shock and injury to persons, unplug the circulator before removing grille.
1. First, remove the nut from the shaft by turning the
nut clockwise to loosen. Remove the washer. Pull the
blade straight out from the shaft.
2. Wipe the Blade with a damp cloth. If your circulator
is used in a greasy environment, such as a kitchen,
mild soap or a common household cleaner may be
necessary. Do not use solvents. Do not place blade
in the dishwasher. The excessive heat can distort the
plastic.
3. To reattach - be certain the at side of the shaft
aligns directly with the corresponding at side on the
blade’s socket. Push the blade all the way on the shaft
until it bottoms out. Do not use a hammer as this
could result in bearing damage. Reinstall washer
and nut.
WARNING: To reduce the risk of electrical shock and injury to
persons, unplug the circulator before removing blade.

TROUBLESHOOTING
POSSIBLE CAUSE AND SOLUTIONPROBLEM
Unit is not plugged in. Plug Power Cord into electrical outlet.
Ensure unit fan speed setting is selected.
Unit is damaged or in need of repair. Cease usage and unplug. Contact Consumer Service for assistance.
The outlet is worn or damaged. Try another outlet or contact a qualied electrician.
Unit set to a low speed setting. Adjust to a higher speed setting.
Airow is blocked. Remove obstruction.
Adjust direction of airow towards the user.
The unit fails to power on.
Airow is weak or slow.
Warranty Terms and Conditions:
Please contact the retailer where purchased or contact the authorized
importer before returning the product for a warranty claim. The
product warranty will be honored on models that are being used in the
country intended. See the silver rating label on the product to conrm
the safety testing marks which identify the specic country of intended
use. Please provide a copy of your receipt with the
defective product when returning to the authorized location. Repairs
performed after the warranty period, are subject to a charge.
The manufacturer assumes no responsibility for damage or injury
caused by failure to follow these instructions, improper product
use or unauthorized product modication. Improper product use
includes using an external device that alters or converts the voltage or
frequency of electricity. Such use will invalidate the product warranty.
The product will be considered modied if the rating label has been
removed, thus making the warranty void.
Repair by an unauthorized service center or use of non-approved
replacement parts is not recommended and any consequences will not
be covered by support services or product warranties.
Shipping a Vornado product to a country not intended for use, will
void all warranties.
