RECHARGING
1. This appliance should be allowed to fully charge before rst use.
2. Connect the transformer to the appliance. BE SURE THE APPLIANCE IS IN THE “OFF - 0” POSITION
WHEN CHARGING.
3. Plug the recharging transformer into any convenient electrical outlet at the correct voltage.
4. When the appliance is low in power, it should be connected to the transformer and plugged into an outlet
to assure maximum power is available when it is next used. This transformer is designed to continuously
charge the battery without overcharging.
TROUBLESHOOTING/ PROBLEM SOLVING
If the appliance does not seem to take a charge, check the following before returning it for repair:
1. Check outlet voltage by plugging in another appliance.
2. Make sure the outlet simply is not connected to a light switch which turns the power at the outlet off
when lights are turned off.
3. Be sure the appliance is properly connected to the recharging transformer, all connections are secure
and the switch on the appliance is turned “OFF - 0.”
4. If your electricity is connected to a master power switch, we suggest the appliance be disconnected from
the charger anytime the master switch is off. Leaving the unit plugged into a dead outlet or an unplugged
charger will drain the battery.
5. If the appliance does not run and it is completely charged, turn the unit “ON - I” and pinch or push the
blades manually. (Oil may have dried out between the blades, so they may be temporarily stuck together).
Blade set is cutting badly or pulling hair out.
Cause: Blade set is dirty or worn out.
• Clean and oil the blade set. If this does not resolve the problem, replace the blade set.
Skin injury
Cause: Too much pressure on the skin.
• Reduce pressure when cutting close to skin.
Cause: Damaged blade set.
• Check whether the blade edges were damaged during use and replace the blade set if necessary.
Cause: Misaligned bladeset.
• Adjust bladeset per instructions.
Battery operating time is too short
Cause: A blade set that is very dirty and has not been oiled can reduce the available battery operating time
substantially!
• Carefully clean and oil the blade set. If the blade set is clean and oiled and the battery operating time is
still far too short, it is likely that the batteries are nearing the end of their life.
Cause: Battery power indicator is imprecise.
• Fully discharge the appliance before fully recharging it in one uninterrupted charging process.

USING RECHARGEABLE CORD/CORDLESS APPLIANCE
If battery power is low, the transformer can attach directly to the unit for continued use as a corded unit.
• Plug transformer into an outlet at the correct voltage.
• Plug transformer directly into unit. Be sure clipper is switched OFF when charging.
• FOR CORDED OPERATION, connect to receptacle on the bottom of the unit. If your battery is complete-
ly run down, allow the unit to charge for 1 minute (switched OFF) before using as a corded unit.
• You may leave the charger connected to the unit when not in use to maintain a full charge.
CLEANING AND CARE
• After each use, use the cleaning brush to remove loose hair from the clipper housing and the blade set.
• The blade set should be oiled frequently in order to maintain its good cutting performance and thus
ensuring a long service life. Only use Wahl Clipper blade oil. Wahl Clipper blade oil has been specically
formulated for Wahl Clipper blades. Using any other lubricant may cause damage to your blades and
clipper and would void your appliance’s warranty.
• Place one drop of Wahl oil in the center of the movable top blade and one drop of oil on each end of
the top blade in a 3 point oiling system (Figure 1A). Turn appliance “ON - I” and run to distribute the oil.
Periodically oil heel of blade (Figure 1B). Wipe away any excess oil. Only wipe the appliance with a soft
cloth, which may be dampened slightly. Do not use solvents or abrasives! DO NOT USE bleach, benzene
or thinner to clean the unit.
• The blade set may be cleaned with Wahl Clipper CliniClip hygienic spray. Do not use any other cleaning
agent. Wahl Clipper CliniClip has been specically formulated for Wahl Clipper blades. Using any other
cleaning agent may cause damage to your blades and clipper and would void your clipper’s warranty.
• Insufcient maintenance of the blade set can reduce the operating time considerably.
• Care should be used to keep the cord untwisted and undamaged. When storing the appliance, coil the
cord. Wrapping the cord around the appliance for storage can cause strain to the cord, which over time,
can lead to the loosening of the wires and/or electrical shortages.
