(knee pads, long sleeves, wrist guards) when
riding.
WARNING
This product is not intended for use by children
without adult supervision. This product is NOT a
toy and is not suitable for children or teenager
under the age of 16. Adults should keep the
SPECTRA™X out of the reach of children and
exercise caution when operating or riding it in the
presence of children.
Be aware of all local regulations, obtain
appropriate authorisations, and understand the
risks.
It is solely your responsibility to comply with all
ride regulations.
Ensure that you are using genuine parts and that
all the components are functioning normally and

Read the ENTIRE user manual to become
familiar with the feature of this product before
operating. Failure to operate the product correctly
can result in damage to the product or personal
property and cause serious injury or even death.
This is a sophisticated product. It must be
operated with caution and common sense and
requires some basic mechanical ability.
Failure to operate or ride this product in a safe
and responsible manner could result in injury or
damage to the product or other property.
Always be aware of your surroundings when
riding in the presence of other vehicles. Ensure
that your ride area is not forbidden and ride
conditions are suitable. Be sure that you are NOT
riding under the influence of alcohol, drugs or any
substance that may impair your cognitive abilities.
Hills and high speed can be very dangerous
because crashes can cause serious injuries.
DO NOT ride on slope over 18% or cruise downhill
or cross stairs. Be extra careful when riding the
board, even if you are an experienced rider.

Do NOT disassemble the product without
permission by WALNUTT. Only the parts provided
by WALNUTT can be replaced by users.
Use only genuine WALNUTT parts or parts
certificated by WALNUTT. Unauthorized parts
or parts from non-WALNUTT may cause system
malfunctions and compromise safety, in which
situation WALNUTT take no responsibility for any
damage incurs.
Make sure you are NOT drunk, taking drugs, under
the influence of anesthesia, or suffering from
dizziness, fatigue, nausea or any other conditions,
whether physical or mental, that could impair your
ability to ride the SPECTRA™X safely.
DO NOT wear slippers or other shoes unable to
fix your feet. And never wear long skirt or other
clothes or accessories lower than your feet,
otherwise the clothes or accessories may roll into
the wheels.
DO NOT brake downhill on a full battery. The
regenerative braking system will overcharge the
battery and cause the SPECTRA X shutdown. The
board will alert you by beeping.
DO NOT ride around sensitive infrastructure or
property such as power stations, water treatment
facilities, correctional facilities, heavily traveled
roadways, government facilities, military zones,
etc.
AVOID things that can cause loss of control or
collision: gravel, water/wet surfaces, steep hills,
downhill, tracks, grates/drains, large rocks, traffic,
poor visibility, narrow spaces, uneven surfaces, etc.
Make sure you fully understand the functionality of
the SPECTRA™X, the ride condition requirements,
the key contingency warning functions/systems,
and all government regulations before each ride.
If you have any questions or problems during the
use or maintenance of this product, please contact
WALNUTT™or a WALNUTT™authorised dealer or
designated service provider.

Safety at a Glance
• MUST wear helmet and other safety equipment
while riding.
• Ensure the SPECTRA™X is starting on an open,
flat and level area.
• DO NOT make stunt performance.
• Always ride at outdoor and open locations that
are clear of puddles, rocks and other obstacles.
DO NOT ride in rainy days or other extreme
weather or environment.
• Read the FULL instructions and warnings
carefully before riding.

Power On/Off
Wake up the battery pack: Before first time
use, please charge for 30 seconds to wake up
the battery pack. Disconnect the charger after
successful wake-up.
Turn on: Press the Power Button once, then press
again and hold for 2 seconds ( ) to turn
on.
The Power Indicator Lights will turn green and
then display the current battery level.
Turn off: Press and hold the Power Button for 2
seconds( ) to turn off.
Auto power-off: the Battery Pack will be
automatically powered off if non-use for 20
minutes.
To ensure battery safety, the battery pack
cannot be turned on and working while charging.

Check Battery Life
When the board is on, the Power Indicator Lights
will indicate the current power level. When the
board is turned off, press the Power Button once,
the Power Indicator Lights will light up for 4
seconds to display the current battery level.

Download App and Activate
Your Board
The SPECTRA™X requires activation before first
time use. Download and install the WALNUTT GO™
App and follow the guide to activate the board.
Please visit the WALNUTT™official website (www.
walnutt.com) to download the latest version,
or search for it in iOS App store or Google Play.
The Android version of the WALNUTT Go™ App is
compatible with Android 4.1.2 or later. The iOS
version of the WALNUTT Go™ App is compatible
with iOS 8.0 or later.

Stand on Board
Refer to the standing postures, separate your feet
on the front and rear. Whether you prefer your left
or right foot ahead, SPECTRA™X is fully compatible
with these two postures.

Motion Control
The SPECTRA™X moves along with your posture.
Move forward
Lean slightly forward, the SPECTRA™X will
gradually speed up.
Make turns
Lean your body to turn left / right.
Decelerate & brake
Shift your weight backward. The SPECTRA™X will
gradually slow down and stop, unless you lean
forward again.

Speed Modes
Three speed modes are available on SPECTRA™X.
You can change the mode on the Remote or
WALNUTT GO™App.

Fully charge the board before the first ride.
Plug the charging cable to the Charge Port of
SPECTRA™X.
Select the charger for your region and connect to
an indoor power source (100-240V). The Battery
Indicator Lights will indicate the current battery
level as it is charging.
Disconnect the charger when the battery is fully
charged.

Never leave the board unattended while charging.

Push the battery latches on both sides of the
battery pack to open and remove the battery from
compartment.
Insert the battery into the skateboard’s battery
compartment. Make sure it clicks on both sides
and has locked securely.
WARNING
• ALWAYS check the battery pack and latches
before using it.
• DO NOT remove or replace the battery pack with
water on the surface.
• Never insert or remove the battery pack while it
is turned on.
• DO NOT turn on the battery pack before it has
been installed properly.

Battery Safety
Failure to follow these safety instructions could
result in fire, electric shock, or other injury or
damage to the skateboard or other property.
Never expose the SPECTRA™X or the battery to any
liquids. If the SPECTRA™X or the battery contacts
with water or falls into puddles during ride, take
the board out of water immediately and put it in
a safe and open area. Maintain a safe distance
from the board until it is completely dry. Contact
WALNUTT™or a WALNUTT™authorised dealer or
designated service provider for further assistance.
If the battery capacity drops due to aging, contact
the WALNUTT™or a WALNUTT™authorised dealer
or designated service provider. WALNUTT™takes
no responsibility for any damage caused by non-
WALNUTT™batteries.
DO NOT use the SPECTRA™X in strong electrostatic
or electromagnetic environments. Otherwise, the
battery control board may malfunction and cause
a serious accident during riding.
Electrolytes in the battery are highly corrosive. If
any electrolytes make contact with your skin or
eyes, immediately wash the affected area with
fresh running water for at least 15 minutes, and
then see a doctor immediately.
DO NOT put the SPECTRA™X or the battery in a
microwave oven or in a pressurised container.
Always keep the battery out of reach of infants or
small children.
Battery contains toxic substances.
The SPECTRA™X will warn you if any battery
abnormality is detected, such as short-circuit or
low battery level. NEVER use or charge the board
in this situation, and contact WALNUTT™or a
WALNUTT™authorised dealer or designated service
provider for further assistance if necessary.

Disposal Information
To avoid fire, serious injury, and property damage,
please observe the following rules:
DO NOT place the SPECTRA™X or the battery in
regular trash containers. Strictly follow your local
regulations regarding the disposal and recycling of
batteries and other components.
Dispose the SPECTRA™X only after a complete
discharge and turned off it. DO NOT disassemble
the board.
If the Power Button on the SPECTRA™X is disabled
and the battery can not be fully discharged or
turned off, please contact a professional battery
disposal/recycling agent for further assistance.

Press and hold the Power Button for 2 seconds to
turn on/ off the Remote.
Connect Your Board
Switch on your SPECTRA™X first, and turn on
the Remote. Wait for 5-10 secs, the Remote will
automatically connect to the nearest SPECTRA™.
The Function Indicator will turn green when
bluetooth is connected. To reconnect, press and
hold the Cruise Button for 3 seconds.
Connection effective range: < 10m.

Control the Board With the Remote
Push the Joystick forward to accelerate forward.
Pull back to brake. When the board is completely
stopped, keep pulling back to have the board go
backward.
Undue brake may cause serious injury even death
from tumbling. It is your full responsibility to learn
how to safely brake.
Mode Switcher
3 modes of the skateboard are available to switch
with the Mode Switcher.
Cruise Function
Remain the board on a certain speed, double click
the Cruise Button to activate the cruise function.
Function Indicator will flicker on green.
Release the Joystick under cruise function is
activated, the skateboard will automatically run
remaining at the certain speed.
Push the Joystick to accelerate; release the
Joystick to let the board slowdown to the cruise
speed.
Pull the Joystick to deactivate the cruise function
and slow down.
Check Battery Life
When turning on the Remote, the Battery
Indicators will reflect the battery percentage of
the Remote.
Charge the Remote
Use standard micro-USB cable and USB adapter
(5V, 1A) to charge the Remote.

1. Data Storage and Usage
When using mobile App, products, or other
software provided by WALNUTT™, data regarding
the use and operations of the product, such as ride
data (e.g. speed, slope, mileage, and information
about the sensor modules) and operation records,
may be automatically or manually uploaded
to and maintained on a WALNUTT™designated
server. The internal storage of the product stores
various types of data, including ride data.
The information that is automatically uploaded or
manually uploaded to the server does not include
the personal data (i.e. your name, address, email,
or other information that specifically identified
you). However, the personal data, such as your
user name, may become associated with, used to
identify, or tagged to such uploaded information
when it is stored. By using this product, the mobile
app or other software distributed, or by providing
data to the server, you consent to the following:
The storage of any ride data and other data
uploaded or provided to use, including in
combination with your user name;
Travel Notice
To avoid fire, serious injury, and property damage,
please observe the following rules:
• Before carrying the SPECTRA™X on an airline
flight. The battery level must remain under 5%.
• Store the SPECTRA™X in a ventilated, dry and
cool location.
Although the SPECTRA™X and its battery have air
transport certificate to authenticate their safety,
you are still recommended to consult the airline of
your flight in advance, especially the international
flight, as the regulations of airlines may differ in
specific flights, periods or context.
