or you are being treated for symptoms of
concern related to the teeth or oral cavity,

• If you are taking antibiotics prescribed by a

Do not use for other than the specied parts
and the following parts.
Sensitive parts such as eyes, nose, ears, back of
tongue, and throat. Since this product shoots
water in strong pressure, there is a possibility of
serious damage to these sensitive areas.

Before using the product
It is recommended that this product be used aer you brush your teeth.
Guideline for use: 2 times/day
Powering the Unit
Plug the cord into an electrical outlet.
Preparing the Reservoir
Li up the reservoir lid, remove the reservoir, and ll it with room-temperature water
or warm water. Return the reservoir to the main unit and press it down securely, then
close the lid.
Inserting and Removing Tips
Insert tip into the center of the Water Flosser handle, pressing down rmly until
the tip clicks into place. When the tip is locked correctly in the designated
position, the tip rotating knob will be perfectly aligned with the top of the
handle. To remove tip from the handle push the tip eject button on the handle.
Prime Unit (First Time Use Only)
Set pressure control dial on base to pressure setting No.10, point the handle and tip
into sink. Turn ON the power button and turn the water stream ON/OFF switch to
ON. Check that water ows out from the tip. If there is no problem, turn the switch
OFF.
Adjusting the Pressure Setting
Turn the pressure control dial on the base of the unit to the lowest setting for
rst-time use. Gradually increase pressure over time to the setting you prefer

Using the Water Flosser
Press the power button and lean your body over the sink. Slightly close lips enough to
prevent splashing while still allowing water to ow from mouth into the sink. Turn
water switch ON. When nished, turn water switch and power OFF. During use you
can stop the ow of water by sliding the water switch on handle to the OFF position.
Caution
- Be sure to place the tip in your mouth before turning the water stream ON/OFF
switch to ON.
- Do not press the tip forcefully against your teeth or gums.
It is recommended that you start with your molars and work your way toward the front
teeth. Insert the tip into your mouth and aim the water so that it contacts your gums
perpendicularly. Glide tip along gumline and pause briey between teeth. Continue
until you have cleaned the inside and outside of both the upper and lower teeth.
One-Minute Timer/30-second Pacer (Floss Mode Only)
Around 30 seconds aer starting use, the product stops temporarily. This noties you
that you should move to the other arch of the oral cavity. Aer another 30 seconds
(around 1 minute aer the start of use), it stops temporarily again. This noties you that
the recommended usage time has been reached. Subsequently the temporary stop
notication function does not activate until the main unit power is turned OFF.
Depending on the water pressure setting, the level of water remaining in the reservoir aer
1 minute may vary.
You can follow the procedure below to turn the notication function ON/OFF.

1. When the main unit power is OFF, press the mode change button once. The main unit
starts and the oss mode LED illuminates.
2. Press and hold the mode change button for approximately 3 seconds until the
massage mode light begins ashing.

2. Press and hold the mode change button for approximately 3 seconds until the oss
mode light ashes once.
When the main unit power plug is unplugged, the setting resets to the default setting.

Massage mode
This mode uses a stream of water to stimulate the gums. It is recommended that
you follow the procedure below and use this mode in combination with oss mode.
Aer using oss mode for around 1 minute, press the mode change button and
change to massage mode.
Use the water pressure control dial to adjust the water stream to the optimal
strength.
When the main unit power is OFF, you can check the current mode from the LED
mode indicators by pressing the mode button once. To change the mode, press the
mode change button again. You can also change the mode while the product is in use
by pressing the mode change button.
When Finished
Turn the power OFF. Empty any liquid le in the reservoir. Unplug the unit.
Caution
When using mouthwash or a solution other than water, read the “Using mouthwash
or other solution (P.11)” section.

USING THE TIPS
PIK POCKET™ TIP
The Pik Pocket™ tip is specially designed to direct a jet of water or solution deep into
the pocket around the tooth.
When using the Pik Pocket™ tip, set the main unit water pressure to the lowest
setting and angle the tip at 45 degrees from the tooth. Slowly insert the tip into the
pocket around the tooth.
Tongue cleaner tip
Set the water pressure to the lowest setting and place the tip near the center of
your tongue. Gently press the tip against your tongue and pull it toward you. Adjust
the water pressure to suit your preferences.
Orthodontic tip
When using the orthodontic tip, move the tip slowly and smoothly along your gums,
then stop it for a moment to gently clean the space between the teeth and around
the orthodontic bracket. Then move on to the next tooth.
Toothbrush tip
Insert the toothbrush tip into your mouth and place the brush head against your
gums. It is not necessary to put toothpaste onto the toothbrush tip. Use a gentle
force and move the brush back and forth. (Use a gentle force that does not bend
the bristles, and use short strokes like a manual toothbrush.)
Plaque Seeker™ tip
When using the Plaque Seeker™ tip, position the tip close to your teeth so that the
bristles gently contact the teeth.
Move the tip slowly and smoothly along your gums, stopping it briey at the spaces
between the teeth. Brush gently and direct the water stream between the teeth.
Using mouthwash or other solution
The Waterpik® Water Flosser can use mouthwash or other antibacterial solution. In
order to prevent clogging, aer using a solution other than water, ll the reservoir
halfway with water or warm water, then direct the tip toward the sink and operate
the main unit until the reservoir is empty.
Storing the tips
There is a tip case which can hold 2 tips located under the reservoir lid. You can easily
add or remove a tip by removing the reservoir.

Caring for the product (daily)
 Main unit
Turn the power OFF and unplug the power cord from the outlet. Use a so cloth and
a neutral detergent that does not contain a polishing agent, and wipe the product
as necessary.
 Reservoir
Pour out the water in the reservoir and dry it in a well ventilated location. If there
is dirt on the surface, wipe with a so cloth and a neutral detergent that does not
contain a polishing agent.
The reservoir can be washed in a dishwasher if it is placed on the top rack. (The tips
cannot be washed in a dishwasher.)
 Tips
Wipe with a so cloth and a neutral detergent that does not contain a polishing
agent.
Do not wipe the main unit with alcohol, paint thinner, benzene, nail polish remover or
other solvent. These may damage the product surface.
- Do not immerse the main unit in water.
Cleaning inside the main unit (once every 1 - 3 months)
Depending on the mineral content of the water that is used, water scale may build
up inside the main unit.
If it is not removed, it may decrease product performance.
1. Fill the reservoir with water or warm water and add 2 tablespoons of white
vinegar or grain vinegar.
2. Direct the handle and tip toward the sink and operate the main unit until the
reservoir is empty.
3. Fill the reservoir with clean water or warm water and repeat the same
procedure around 3 times to rinse out the main unit.

Storing the product
- Aer use, be sure to fully wipe o any water and dry the product before storing it.
If the product is le with water on it, it may cause corrosion inside the main unit.
- If the product will not be used for a long period of time, clean the main unit before
storing it.
- If the product will not be used, unplug the power plug.
- Do not place the product close to re, exposed to direct sunlight, in a bathroom
or other location exposed to high temperatures and humidity or in an unstable
location. Store it in a clean location with good ventilation.
- Store the product in a location out of the reach of children.
Maintenance and inspection
- If the product was not used for a long period of time, be sure to check that the
product operates correctly and safely before using it.
- If there is any problem with operation of the product, before requesting repairs,
refer to the “Troubleshooting” (P.14) section and check the trouble.
If the problem is still not corrected, contact the retailer where you purchased the
product, or prepare the purchase invoice and contact the YA-MAN Call Center
(P.15).
- If the product has malfunctioned or is damaged, contact the retailer where you
purchased the product.
Water leakage
If water leakage occurs as a result of damage to the hose, contact the YA-MAN Call
Center (P.15).

TROUBLE SHOOTING  FAQ
Symptom Possible Causes Solutions
The power plug is not inserted into the outlet. - Insert the power plug into the wall outlet.Unit won’t turn on?
The tip is clogged, intake port (rubber packing that connects the
reservoir and main unit) is clogged, an additive was used, cleaning
was insucient or preparation for use was insucient.
- Perform cleaning.
- Check that the reservoir is correctly installed onto the main
unit. Gently tilt the reservoir back and forth, securely lower the
reservoir lid, and turn ON the main unit power.
- Check that the water stream ON/OFF switch is not stuck.
Low or No water pressure
The product was dropped. - Screw a metal screw into the end of the broken tip.
- Hit eject button and remove screw. Tip will come out with the
screw.
Tip Broken in Unit
A solution other than a designated solution was used (corrosion
caused by chemicals), mineral scale accumulated due to insucient
cleaning, or the hose deteriorated when the product was not used
for a long time.
- Perform cleaning or contact the YA-MAN Call Center (P.15).Unit is leaking from
the hose
The product was le with water in it, or the hose is not connected
correctly to the main unit.
- Drain the water from the reservoir.
- Check whether the threaded part where the hose is attached is
fully tightened.
Unit is leaking from
the base
There is dirt on the tip, or the tip or main unit has malfunctioned. - Try a dierent tip to see if problem still occurs
- If you used additives like mouthwash or peroxide, you will want to
ush water in the hole where tip is inserted.

What is the warranty on this product?

How long does the water last? How much does the reservoir hold?
The reservoir capacity is approximately 651 mL (enough for approximately 90
seconds of use).
What is the pressure range?
10-100 PSI, 10 pressure settings
My buttons are stuck on the handle what do I do?
Soak your handle in a solution of 50/50 water and vinegar for at least
30 minutes. Most likely caused by not cleaning with additive use.
What is a guideline for how oen I should use the product?
Up to 2 times/day. You can use it every day.
Can I use solutions in my water osser?
If additives (such as mouthwash) are used, rinse the system with a reservoir full
of clean water aer each use. Failure to rinse the unit may result in loss of
product performance and/or function. Growth of bacteria could also be
enhanced. Note: iodine, saline or water insoluble concentrated essential oils
cannot be used.

A warranty for 2 year from the date of purchase is provided and covers problems that occur during ordinary use. (It does not cover consumable supplies or
accessories.)
- Aer the warranty period expires, product shipping expenses will be borne by the customer.
- In the case of problems occurring aer the warranty period expires, the customer will be charged for the cost (actual expense) of repairs.
- There are cases when a charge for repairs will be incurred even during the warranty period. Please read the explanation of the warranty terms carefully.

* This certicate is a pledge to provide free repairs based on the warranty period and terms printed on it. Therefore this warranty certicate does not limit the rights of the

2. To receive free repairs of a problem that occurred during the warranty period,

retailer where the product was purchased.
3. If your address will be changed, please consult in advance with the retailer where the

4. If the product was a gi and it is not possible to request repairs by the retailer where

5. Even during the warranty period, a charge shall be required for repairs in the
following circumstances.
