Congratulations
As a new parent, you have now joined one of the greatest tribes on
earth and begun the most amazing adventure of your life. Cherish
every extraordinary moment. And wear your baby with love.
The We Made Me Venture is a simple front and back carrier,
which is available in two sizes, to allow you to enjoy the closeness
of carrying as your child grows.
Our Ventureis perfect for newborns up to 2 years, whilst
the Venture+is suitable for toddlers from approximately
18-36 months.

Our Venture+is a simple, front and back-carry
toddler carrier and is for 18-months up to
3-year olds.

Attach
1. Pick up your Venture by
the waistband and centre
it on your waist, just
above your hips, like an
apron. If you are carrying
a toddler you may wish
to attach the carrier in a
lower position on the hips,
to ensure that your view
is not blocked by your
child’s head.
2. Attach the waist: the
inner side of the Venture
hangs down in front.
3. Fasten the buckle
behind your waist.
4. Use both hands to
tighten straps comfortably.

This front position is perfect for those who want
to share every snugly moment on the move,
belly-to-belly with baby. Comfortable both for when
they are awake or asleep.

Embrace
1. Pick baby up and place them
onto your shoulder.
2. Lower baby onto the waistband,
ensuring their legs are wrapped
around your body. Pull the fabric
up and bounce baby down into
the seat of the carrier.
3. Ensuring baby is supported at
all times, pass the first shoulder
strap over your shoulder.
4. Repeat with the other shoulder
strap.
5. Continue to support your
baby’s weight with one hand, pull
one shoulder strap diagonally
across your back to reach the
buckle on the opposite side of
your waist. Ensure that the strap is
not twisted.
6. Clip the strap into the buckle,
listen for the click.

Adjust
1. Tighten the waist straps
by horizontally pulling on
the strap adjusters.
2. Now tighten the
shoulder straps by
pulling them away from
your body at the front of
the carrier. Baby should
be secure enough that
you should be able to
comfortably lean forwards
with them maintaining
contact with your torso.
They should be tight,
high, and close enough
for you to kiss their head,
but not so high that they
impair your view.
3. Roll up and tuck away
spare webbing under the
elastic loop, located at
the end of each piece of
webbing.

Head support
1. The carrier has an
integrated head support
which supports the baby’s
head should they fall
asleep. It can also be
used to protect them from
the sun.
2. Attach the straps to the
poppers.
3. The poppers are
located on the shoulder
straps.

To check that baby is held in the comfortable spread-squat position
(imagine their legs form an “M” shape), their bottom should be
positioned lower than their knees. To help with this, cup their feet
in your hands, pushing lightly upwards on the soles of their feet.
The International Hip Dysplasia Institute (IHDI) acknowledges the
Ventureas a “hip-healthy” product.

The Infant Insert is used with babies from newborn
and up to 4 months.
Please note: The Infant Insert is for use with the
Ventureonly. It is also only ever used in the parent-
facing position.

shoulder.

back, to reach the buckle

your waist. Ensure that the
strap is not twisted.

The other strap remains

Insert and place it into the
carrier with the tapered
edges facing away from
you.

Embrace
1. Pick baby up and place them onto your shoulder, on the side
with the open strap.
2. Carefully lower baby into the carrier, placing their bottom onto
the Infant Insert.
3. Continue to keep your hands inside the carrier, supporting baby,
as you ensure that their legs are supported by the insert, in their
natural bent position. It is of vital importance that baby’s feet are in
front of them, and not caught underneath them. There should be
no weight on the baby’s feet or ankles.
4. Check that baby’s head is turned to one side and that you are
aware of their breath.
5. Supporting baby’s back at all times with one hand, use the other
hand to pass the remaining shoulder strap over your shoulder.
6. Pull the shoulder strap diagonally across your back to reach the
buckle on the opposite side of your waist. Ensure that the strap is
not twisted. Continue to support baby’s back with one hand.
7. Clip the strap into the buckle, listen for the click.
8. The Infant Insert should sit square in the bottom of the carrier.

Venture 6–24m |7.8–15kg | 17.2–33lbs
Venture+ 18–36m+ | 11–25kg | 24–55lbs
The back-carry position is for the confident parent
looking for even more freedom, and the adventurous
baby who is aged from 6m+. There is an integrated
head support which holds baby’s head in place
should they fall asleep or need protecting from the
sun. Until you are confident with getting baby on and
off your back, ensure there is another adult present to
assist you. At first, practice over a soft surface such
as a bed or sofa. Please note: The Infant Insert
should never be used in the back-carry position.

them loose and long. You
will tighten them later.

free hand behind their back.
6. Once you are confident that
baby’s weight is supported by
the hand holding the straps,
release your hand from baby’s
back.
7. Slide your free hand through
the near-side strap.
8. Whilst supporting baby, slide
them round onto the hip, under
the arm which is in the strap.
9. Holding both straps near
the top, continue to slide baby
round to the centre of your back.
10. Grab the second strap with
your free hand.
11. Put hand through strap and
place on shoulder, as with a
rucksack.
