– Improper installation or repair of Webasto heating and cooling systems can
cause fire or the leakage of deadly carbon monoxide leading to serious
injury or death.
–ALWAYS carefully follow Webasto installation and repair instructions and
heed all WARNINGS.
–Webasto heating and cooling systems require qualified and/or professional
installation and repair technicians. Warranty shall be void if not installed by
a certified or trained installer/repair technician who has successfully
completed the factory training course for installation and repair of Webasto
heating and cooling systems, and has been provided with the technical
information, tools and equipment required to properly complete the
necessary installation/repairs.
–Webasto rejects any liability for problems and damage caused by the system
being installed by untrained personnel.
–When heater is in use, the surface of the hot air outlet may become hot to
the touch. Contact with skin may cause burns.
–Product produces temperatures high enough to ignite surrounding
combustible materials such as inflammable liquids, gases, vapor, and other
combustible matter. The heater must be switched off when loading or
unloading inflammable materials to prevent the risk of explosion.

Operating Instructions - BlueHeat
Congratulations on the purchase of your Webasto BlueHeat Heating System. You have
purchased a product that has been engineered and manufactured to the highest quality
standards in the industry.
Your Webasto BlueHeat heater is a state of the art supplementary heating system that will
heat the passenger compartment of your vehicle while aiding in defrosting your windows
for clear vision. No more endless idling, freezing while the engine warms, or dangerous
ice-covered windshields. Preset the timer for up to one hour in advance of your arrival and
step into a pre-heated vehicle for a cozy, comfortable start to your journey.
Please take a few minutes to read this manual to become familiar with the operation of
your Webasto Heater.

WARNING
If the and buttons are pressed for more than 2 seconds, the fast time-setting mode
is activated.
To Prevent Asphyxiation: DO NOT operate heater while in confined spaces such
as closed, unventilated garages! Open the door before operating the heater.
To Prevent Fire: DO NOT operate heater where flammable or explosive materials,
gases or dusts may be present. DO NOT operate heater over dry grass or
other dry ground cover. Switch heater off while refueling vehicle!
Switch heater off BEFORE entering fueling stations!
To Prevent Burning: NEVER touch hot components of the heating system!
Operation with 7-Day Digital Timer with Climate Control
Your Webasto Heater is equipped with a 7-day digital timer that allows you to set the time
your heater will automatically start. Three separate programs can be stored in the timer.
The timer also includes a climate control feature for setting the desired interior
temperature level.
The timer displays the current time and day of the week. When the heater is switched on,
the display and buttons are illuminated.
After the power supply has been connected, all symbols on the display will flash.
The current time and weekday must be set before the timer can be programmed.
All flashing symbols can be adjusted by means of the and buttons.
If the buttons are not pressed within 5 seconds, the time displayed will be stored.
DANGER: Heater must be switched "off" when refueling at filling stations and/or while loading
or unloading flammable materials for transport, to prevent the risk of explosion. Please review
owner's manual for safety and use instructions.
Setting the Time and Weekday.
Press the button for more than 2 seconds - time of day is flashing - and set the time
using the or buttons. Wait 5 seconds. Time of day is now set.
Weekday symbol is flashing - adjust the weekday using the or buttons.
Wait 5 seconds. Weekday is now set.
Recalling the Time of Day.
Press the button. Current time and weekday is displayed for 5 seconds.
Turning the Heater On.
Manually: by pressing the “Manual Operation” button (continuous heating mode).
Automatically: by programming the heater starting time.
The heater ‘On’ indicator and the display illumination light up.
Turning the Heater Off.
Manually: by pressing the “Manual Operation” button.
Automatically: After the programmed operating time has elapsed.
The heater ‘On’ indicator and the display illumination turn off.
Programming the Heater Start-up Time.
Press the button - a memory location number (1, 2 or 3) is flashing - using the or
buttons, set heater starting time. Wait 5 seconds. Starting time is now stored. Weekday
is flashing - set the weekday desired using the or buttons. Wait 5 seconds.
Weekday is now stored. By repeatedly pressing the button, memory location 2 and 3
can be programmed or the time display mode can be reached.
Selecting a Preset Starting Time.
Press button, one, two or three times to display program 1, 2, or 3 with the preset time
assigned to it. After 5 seconds the time display turns off.
Only one preset start-time can be activated at any one time. (Programs cannot be setup to
run consecutively one after another automatically.)

Canceling Programmed Times.
Repeatedly press button until time of day is displayed instead of the memory location.
Adjusting the Duration of Operation Time
The “Duration of Operation” time refers to the length of time the heater will remain in
operation after being switched on automatically via a programmed preset start-up time.
The factory setting is 1 hour.
The heater must be switched off. Press the button for 3 seconds - operating time is
flashing. Set the desired operating time (10 to 120 minutes) using the and buttons.
Adjusting the Climate Control for Interior Comfort.
To increase the desired interior temperature level, turn the climate control dial clockwise.
To decrease the interior temperature, turn the dial counter-clockwise.
Maintenance and Safety Information
Your Webasto heater requires no periodic maintenance other than a visual inspection,
preferably prior to the heating season, by an Authorized Webasto Sales & Service Center
to ensure the heater and all components are free from damage and in proper working
condition.
During the warmer months of the year when heating is not required, the heater should be
run for 20 minutes at least once a month. This will keep a clean, fresh supply of fuel in
the heater fuel system and keep all moving parts in top operating condition.
Troubleshooting
In the event of a heater malfunction, first check the following items to eliminate them as
cause for trouble:
A. Power Supply
- Fuse blown?
- Power at fuse?
B. Fuel Supply
- Fuel in vehicle tank?
- Clean unrestricted fuel supply?
Heater Stops Operation Unexpectedly
The heater will automatically switch off if a malfunction occurs. To clear a malfunction,
switch heater off with the timer “Manual Operation” button. Wait 2 seconds and turn on
once again to reset the heaters control unit. Should the heater fail to start or continues to
malfunction, contact your nearest Authorized Webasto Sales & Service Center or the
Webasto Customer Service Hotline toll free at:
1-800-555-4518 (U.S.A.) or 1-800-667-8900 (Canada)
Emergency Shut Down Instructions
Shut off by removing fuses located on power harness. There is a separate fuse for the
Webasto pre-heater. Call the Webasto Customer Service Hotline for assistance, or contact
your nearest Authorized Webasto Sales & Service Center.

LIMITED CONSUMER WARRANTY - BlueHeat HEATER
Webasto Thermo & Comfort N.A., Inc. provides a limited (2) two year consumer warranty to
the original purchaser commencing on the date of purchase. This limited warranty covers parts
and labor on all components of the BlueHeat auxiliary heater against defective materials or
workmanship. Damages are limited to repair or replacement of the heater and must be
performed by a Webasto Authorized Sales and Service center.
Proof of original purchase, and date of installation are required to receive limited consumer
warranty service.
This warranty applies only when the BlueHeat heater has been installed in accordance with
Webasto installation instructions, by an Authorized Sales and Service Center. Transportation
costs are the responsibility of the owner.
All obligations of Webasto Thermo & Comfort N.A., Inc. under this warranty shall be terminated
if:
Malfunction or damage is caused by rough handling, incorrect use, vandalism, accident,
improper installation or application, adjustment, modification, alteration, unauthorized repair or
service, acts of God such as lightning, careless handling, physical abuse to, or misuse of the
BlueHeat heater.
To submit a claim per the provisions stated in this limited consumer warranty, contact the
Webasto Authorized Sales & Service Center that installed the heater or the nearest
Authorized Sales & Service Center. To locate the nearest Authorized Sales & Service Center,
call: 1-800-337-6731 or log on to our web site at: www.webasto.us
WARRANTY LIMITATIONS AND EXCLUSIONS
WEBASTO THERMO & COMFORT N.A., INC. MAKES NO OTHER WARRANTY OF ANY KIND
WHATEVER, EXPRESSED OR IMPLIED; AND ALL IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY
AND FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE WHICH EXCEED THE ABOVE STATED OBLIGATIONS
ARE DISCLAIMED BY WEBASTO THERMO & COMFORT N.A., INC. AND EXCLUDED FROM THIS
AGREEMENT.
This limited consumer warranty is void if the owner fails to promptly complete and submit the
product registration card (back page of this booklet).
This limited consumer warranty gives purchasers specific rights. The purchaser may also be
entitled to other rights which vary from state to state. Some states may not permit Webasto to
limit the duration of implied warranties or the recovery of consequential damages.
Webasto does not authorize any person to create for it other obligation or liability in connection
with its heater. This document contains the entire limited consumer warranty, merging and
integrating all related terms and conditions.
ARBITRATION CLAUSE
Any controversy or claim arising out of or relating to this limited warranty or breach thereof
shall be settled by arbitration, administered by the American Arbitration Association in the state
of Michigan in accordance with the Commercial Arbitration Rules of the American Arbitration
Association and judgment on the award rendered by the arbitrator(s) may be entered in any
court having jurisdiction thereof.
