HERE’S HOW TO DO IT:
1. First,youneedtoremovethebatteryinsulator tab inside
thebatterycompartment.Todothis,liftup the back clip
andunscrewthebatterycompartmentdoorwitha coin or
flatheadscrewdriver.
2. Removethetab.Besurethatthebattery is in the correct
positionwiththepositive(+)sideofthebattery visible,
facingupwards.
3. Placethebatterycompartmentdoorbackintoplace and
tightenwithacoinorflatheadscrewdriver.
ACTIVATING YOUR PointsPlus®PEDOMETER ENTERING YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION
Youwillneedtosetyourpersonalinformation (height, weight, gender) to yourpedometersoit
canaccuratelytrackyourprogress.
AFTER YOU ACTIVATE YOUR PEDOMETER, FOLLOW THESE EASY STEPS:
1. Selectlanguage(EnglishorFrench)bypressingthe+ or
– buttonontheback.PressSETtoconfirm.
2. Selectunitsofmeasure(ImperialorMetric;see below for
clarification)bypressingthe+ or– button.PressSETto
confirm.

ALL DAY MODE
TheALLDAY modeisdesignedtotrackyourregularstepsthatyoudon’tusuallythinkofasexercise.
You’lluseALL DAYmodeinyourdailylife,walkingthekidstothebusordownthehalltothefax
machine,forinstance. Youwillneedtotakeaqualifyingnumberofstepsinordertobeginearning
anactivityPointsPlus values.Thesequalifyingstepsareonesconsideredpartofeverydaylifeand
countedaspart ofyourdailyPointsPlusTarget. 11

TheProgressBar atthebottomofthedisplaywillshowthequalifyingsteps
youhavetaken inincrementsof10%untilonefullactivityPointsPlus
valueiscomplete.
Oncethequalifyingstepshavebeentaken,the Progress Bar will display
yourprogresstowardearninganactivityPointsPlus value!The large
squaresrepresent10%ofanactivityPointsPlus valueearned and the smaller dashesbelow
represent1%ofanactivityPointsPlus valueearned.
ACTIVE MODE
TheACTIVEmodeisdesignedforthosewho do not want to trackstepsduringtheentiredaybut
justwanttotrackthestepstakenduring exercise. ACTIVE mode bypasses thenumberofqualifying
stepsrequiredtoearnanactivityPointsPlus valuein ALL DAY mode becauseinACTIVEmode
thepedometerassumesyouarealreadytakingthose qualifying steps as part ofyourdailylifeand
areusingthepedometertotrackonlythe steps/activity PointsPlus values earned forthatfitness
walk.Therefore,whenthepedometerissetto ACTIVE mode, you will seetheProgressBarstartto
fillupindicatingearnedactivityPointsPlus valuesforyour fitness walk.

SWITCHING BETWEEN ACTIVE OR ALL DAY MODE:
ALLDAYmodeisthedefaultsettingon the PointsPlus®Pedometer
soyoucantrackyourstepsthroughoutthe day. To switch between
ALLDAYandACTIVEmode:
1. PresstheMODEbuttontogetyouto the activity PointsPlus
valuedisplayscreen;thenpressandholdthe SET button on the
backfor2secondstoentertheSETTINGS mode.
2. Press+ or– tochoosebetweenACTIVEorALL DAY. Pressthe
SETbuttontoconfirm.Continuetopressthe SET button until you
exitfromtheSETTINGSmenuand“SAVED”isdisplayed.
Whenyouswitchmodesinthemiddleof the day, your accumulated
stepsorPointsPlusvalueswillbeappliedasfollows:
•Goingfrom ALLDAYtoACTIVE:YouareawardedPointsPlusvaluescreditforyourqualifying
stepsandactivityPointsPlus valuesearnedfortheday.
•GoingfromACTIVEtoALLDAY:PointsPlus values earned are converted tostepsand
appliedtowardqualifyingstepsandPointsPlus values(ifdaily target has been met).
NOTE:Forthemostaccurateresults,itis recommended that you select ALLDAYorACTIVEmode
fortheentiredayratherthanswitchbetween them.
PAUSING THE PEDOMETER
YoumaypausetheunitatanytimebypressingandholdingthePAUSE
button(alsotheMODEbutton)for2seconds.(PAUSEwillappearinthe
centerdisplayfield).Toresumetracking,simplypressthePAUSEbutton
againfor2seconds.(PAUSEwilldisappearfromthescreen)
NOTE:Becauseyourpedometercountsstepsbydetecting vibrations through the digital sensor
whenyourbodymoves,itmaynotbe able to tell the differencewhenthereisbodymovement
otherthanwalking,suchaswhenyouare in a transportation vehicle. Forthisreason,itis
importanttoalwaysPAUSEthepedometerwhenriding in any type of vehiclesothatbody
movementdoesnotregisteranyfalsesteps.

Thepedometerstoresthesteps,activityPointsPlus®values,anddistance totals from the previous
days(uptosevendays,includingthecurrent day). To review past days:
•PresstheMODEbuttontoscrolltothe information you would like toreview
(STEPS,PointsPlusvaluesorDISTANCE).
•Whenyougettotheinformationyouwould like to review, press thebuttontoreview
previousdaytotals.Thedayoftheweek (Sunday, Monday, etc.) will bedisplayedinthe
centerdisplayfield.Sinceonlysevendaysof data are stored at once,theoldestday’sdata
willautomaticallybedeleted.
•PresstheMODEbuttontoresumepedometer tracking.
NOTE:Thepedometerautomaticallyresetstoanew day at 12:00 midnight anddatatotalswill
thenbeavailableinthememory.
REVIEWING PAST DAILY TOTALS RESETTING THE CURRENT DAY’S TOTALS
Occasionally,youmaywanttodeleteyourcurrentday’sSTEPS,PointsPlus valuesandDISTANCEtotals.
Inordertoresetthecurrentday’sinformation, follow these easy steps:
1. ScrolltoeitherSTEPS, PointsPlusvalues,orDISTANCEdisplaybypressing the MODE button.
2. Onthebackofthepedometer,flipopen the clip to view thebatterycompartmentandreset
button.PressandholdtheRESETbuttonon the back of the pedometer.
3. Thepedometerwillaskyoutoconfirmresetting, so press the
+ or–buttontochooseYESorNO.Then press the SET button
toconfirm(ornotconfirm)thereset.Your tracking will now start
overorcontinue.
NOTE:Ifyouconfirmreset,ALLTOTALS(STEPS, PointsPlusvalues
andDISTANCE) willbe erased for that day.Anypreviousday’stotals
willnotbeaffected.

turninginaclockwisedirection.Failuretoproperly replace the battery and correctlysealthe
unitmaycausetheunittobecomedamaged and may void the warranty.
TIP:IftheO-ringhasbeendamaged,replace it before reinstalling the batterydoor.Mostjewelers
andwatchshopscarryreplacementO-ringseals.
