1 Safety instructions and warnings
To ensure safe operation of the device, it is necessary toread thefollowing
safety instructionsand warnings carefully and comply with them.
The safetyinstructions summarized here are repeated inthe corresponding
chapters, where necessary.
1.1 General
1.1.1 Definitions
Operator
Person who provides dry water massage devices ona commercial basis.The
operator is responsiblefor the orderly operationof the device as well ascom-
pliance with the maintenance intervals.
User
A person who uses the deviceat a commercial location.
Personnel
People who are responsiblefor the operation, cleaning and general mainte-
nance work and whoinstruct the users in theoperation of the devices.
Electrician
A person with suitable professional training,knowledge, experience and
knowledgeof the applicableregulations which enable them to identify and
avoid thedangers which can arisefrom working with electricity.
Authorized, trained and qualified personnel
Qualifiedstaff from an external companywho havebeen trained and author-
ized by the manufacturer to undertakeassemblyand maintenance work on
specific equipment.

1.2 Intended use
The wellsystemSPA COMPLETE unit described here is aretrofittable
accessory for wellsystemdry water massage units with a touch display.
The unitcan only be used in conjunction witha dry water massage unit such
as the wellsystem MEDWAVE TOUCH or WAVE TOUCH.
This device serves toprovide cosmetic stimulationof the skin by meansof
red light(photobiomodulation).Further information for this can befound on
page 24.
Somepeople are notpermitted to use the device, see page 9.
The device may notbe used by peoplewith reduced physical,sensory or
mentalcapabilities or who have insufficient experience and/or knowledge
without supervision.A person responsiblefor their safety must ensure, either
by supervision or instruction,that the device is used correctly and safely. If
there is anydoubt, use of thedevice by suchcategories of persons is to be
forbidden!
This device is only tobe operated with the specifiedlamps or their equivalent.
Any other use shallbe considered improper. The manufacturer cannot be
held liable for damage or injuries resulting from this.The operator bears the
sole risk for this.
Proper use also includescompliance with the manufacturer's instructions and
its operating and maintenance conditions.The device may only be operated,
maintained andrepaired by persons familiar with these tasks and who have
been informedof the dangers involved.
1.3 Foreseeable misuse
The following uses ofthe device are explicitly prohibited:

Peoplewith illnesses which cause light sensitivity
Peoplewho take medication or herbal remedieswhich cause lightsensi-
tivity (e.g. antibiotics, antirheumatic agents, antifungal agents or St.
Johns wort)
Ifyou have utilized anoxygen facial pack in the last 24 hours,
If your facial skin hasbeen electronically tightened in the last 24 hours,
Ifyour skin has beenscoured,
Ifyou have received a facial injection in thelast 24 hours.
–Seek medical advice without failif in doubt!
1.5 Safety instructions and warnings
1.5.1 Operator's obligations
As the operator you are responsiblefor providing clear operating,cleaning
and maintenance instructions and ensuring the intendeduse and the proper
operation ofthe device by means of training and instruction for the personnel.
Your operating instructions must enable thesafe use andsafe operation of
the device andtake into account the characteristics and expertise of your
company and also the nationalwork safety andenvironmental protection
regulations (within theEuropean Union, the EU directive 89/391/EEC).
Commissioning of the deviceis prohibitedin the event of
Defective cables,
Defective plugs,
Defective housingparts,
Malfunctions.
1.5.2 Personnel training
As the operator you are obligedto train your personnel andinstruct themin
theestablished legaland accident preventionregulations. Ensure that your
staffhave understood and observe these operation instructions. Thisapplies,

with, in particular cleaning and disinfectionafter every session.
– You must ensure that your staff provide your customers with appropriate

1.5.3 Scope of delivery
Information regarding the scopeof delivery is contained in the 'Description'
chapter onpage 23.
1.5.4 Transport, assembly and setup
The device is delivered by aspecialist company and assembled and setup by
the manufacturer's own service personnelor by an authorized service com-
pany.
As the operator you are responsiblefor abidingby the electrical regulations
applicable atthe installation site, see page 11.

– Where possible, do notset up the unit at a swimming
pool.
– Do notoperate the unit in locations with aggressive
ambientconditions (for example, with air containing
chlorine,in an oxygen enrichedenvironment).
Damage to device possible!
Where there are great differences in temperature between
thetransport route andthe installation site thedevice may
notbe put into operationimmediately after being setup.
–Waitat least 2 hours before connectingthe device to
thepower supply.
Risk of overheating due to air flowproblems!
Operating faults possible.
–Do notchange, obstruct or block the air inflow and
outflow area tothe device or make any unauthorized
changes tothe device. The manufacturer shall bear no
liability for damageor injuries resulting fromsuch ac-
tions.
Environmental conditions
Optimum ambient temperature: Between +15 °C and +32 °C
Air pressure: Between 794hPa and 1060 hPa
Relative humidity: Between30 % and 75 %
The device is not to be used outdoors.
The device is not suitable for operationin mobile facilities (ships, buses, trains
or oil platform). The unithas to be adapted inorder to guaranteetrouble-free
operation when usedin mobile facilities.
Adaptation of the unit isrequired for operating altitudes greater than 2000m
above sea level in order toguarantee trouble-free operation.

1.5.5 Commissioning
The device is delivered ready for use.
See Assembly/ commissioning page 17.
1.5.6 Operation and maintenance
Error-free operation, maintenance andservice are required in order to ensure
thatthe health and safety of theusers is not endangered during operation and
toensure that the device is in a fault-free operatingcondition.
Please observe the information and recommendations provided inthese op-
erating instructions.Please ensure that theintervals for the inspection,
maintenanceand service are compliedwith. Please ensure that the lamps are
replaced after the specified usage time.
Unauthorized modifications andchanges to the device and its controlunit are
prohibited.Failure tocomply with this invalidates the operating licence!
1.5.7 Decommissioning
The unitcan only be used in conjunction witha dry water massage unit such
as the wellsystem MEDWAVE TOUCH or WAVE TOUCH.
To decommission the SPA COMPLETE temporarily or permanently,the dry
water massageunit must be electrically disconnected bypulling outthe mains
plug.
The legalrequirements regarding disposal mustbe observed when perma-
nently decommissioning theunit.
1.5.8 Storage
Store thedevices in a dry, frost-free location witha stable temperature. Once
the device hascooled off, pack it in plastic wrapping to protect it against
scratches.
Storage temperature:Between-15 °C and +60 °C
1.5.9 Disposal
Environmentalregulations – disposal of lamps
LED lamps contain electronic componentsas well as LED chips and therefore
do not belong in the household waste.
Within the European Union the national implementation of the Waste Frame-
work Directive2018/851/ECapplies. According to the national waste disposal
laws,and in accordance with the community waste regulations,proof must be
provided of the proper disposalof LED lamps.
Your localsales agency will behappy to assist you with the disposal ofLED
lamps:
– Report thenumber of LED lamps to your agency by telephone or inwrit-
ing.
The agency willname a free delivery pointfor your LED lamps or, together
witha disposalcompany, will take care of the collection and proper disposal
of theLED lamps. This service is available for a fee. Local national lawsapply
outside Germany.Please contactyour local sales agency.

Packaging
All packagingconsists of 100 % recyclable materials. Packaging broughtinto
circulationby the JK Corporate Group thatis no longer required canbe re-
turned to the JKCorporate Group. Your partner agency or dealer will be hap-
py to advise.
Disposal of old devices
The device hasbeen manufactured usingrecyclable materials.The JKCorpo-
rate Group will provide you with information on the content or potential haz-
ards of thematerials used.
The manufacturer is obliged to take back anddispose of certain electrical and
electronic components in accordance with the 2012/19/EC Directive.

Group. Thisservice is available free of charge.Your partner agency or dealer

observance! We explicitly emphasize that non-compliance may result inhigh
liabilityrisks for the exporter and/or the operator.

1.5.12 AUX (music)
Ifan MP3 player or a smartphoneis used privatelyduring the application,
then this does notconstitute a publicperformance in the sense of copyright
law,so that no reporting or feeobligation exists on the partof the studio oper-
ator towards the organisationresponsible for issuing the commercialperfor-
mance rights.
For the public use of MP3 music files, the same legislation appliesas for all
other music sources: As astudio operator/studio owner,you may only play
originalaudio CDs, MCs, audio DVDs etc.,on your premises and/or play
music via the 'MP3-music modules' which are provided in the devices from
JK-InternationalGmbH if you have acquired thenecessary stage rights.You
can acquire these from the organisation responsible for issuing commercial
performance rights inyour country (in Germany: GEMA/GVL).
Copy-protected audioCDs, MCs, audioDVDs etc., as well as titles contained
on these media, may not beconverted to MP3 formatand/or saved on HDD,
audio CDs,MCs, audio DVDsetc., if software isused to do this, which disa-
bles or circumvents the copy-protection containedon the media.
You must be ready at any time to prove your grantingof stage rights by
presentation ofthe appropriate stagerights certificate when requested by a
representativeor another controllingbody of the responsible organisation.
As long asyou observe all the listed instructions andhave acquired the nec-
essary rights for use ofthe 'MP3-music module', you mayconvert your origi-
nal audioCDs, MCs, audio DVDsetc. into the MP3 formatrequired by the
player. Only onecopy (duplicate or MP3 format conversion) oflawfully ac-
quired audio CDs, MCs,audio DVDs etc. may bemade. The source media
(original media) mustbe retainedand may not beused simultaneously.

The unit isbuilt according to the state of the art andthe valid safety regula-
tions.JK-International GmbH reserves the sole rightto make technical
changes tothe illustrations and information in these operating instructionsthat
are necessary to improve the unit.
Unauthorized modifications andchanges to the device and its controlunit are
prohibited.Failure tocomply with this voids the operating licence!
Please use onlyoriginal spare parts. Any liability for damage or injury proven
to be the result of the use of non-genuine spare parts is excluded.

1.6 Signs and stickers on the device

warning signs are always clearly recognisableand legible. Any missingwarn-

1.7 Warranty
Wellsystem grantsthe customer a warranty of24 months starting from hand-
over. This is aguarantee that the goods donot possess any faults which
eliminate or decrease thevalue or thecapability of the device for normalus-
age. Claimson the part of the customer for consumableparts such as colla-
gen pressure lamps and starters are excluded.
1.8 Warranty and liability exclusions
Warranty and liability claims for personal injury andproperty damageare
excluded ifthey are the result of oneor more of the following causes:
improper useof thedevice;
improper assembly,commissioning, operation andmaintenance of the
device;
operating thedevice with faulty safety equipment or improperly attached
or non-functionalsafety andprotective equipment including warning
signs;
not complying with the information in the operating instructionsregarding
transport, storage,assembly, commissioning, operationand mainte-
nance;
theuse of untrained personnel;
unauthorized changes tothe device or the control unit;
inadequate monitoring of parts subject to wear;
repairs carried outimproperly;
theuse of non-original spare parts
emergencies and disasters resulting from the influence of foreign materi-
als or force majeure.

2 Assembly / commissioning
Two peopleare required for the assembly.
A transport bracket simplifies positioning the device on the massage device.
2.1 Assembling the device
WARNING!
Danger of hand injuries!
– Wear protective gloves duringassembly work toavoid
injuries.
The device is delivered in a cardboard box.
Open thebox at the top and lift the device out of the box with the help of an-
other person.
NOTE:
If there is anydirt and oil residue on the massage device
framethen the adhesivesurface of the hook-and-loop strips
will notadhere properly.
Cleanthe massage device framewith the cleaner that you
usually use– see the massagedevice operating instructions.
WARNING!
Damage to the massage device!
The rubber blanketcan be damagedor the paint scratched
when placingthe wellsystem SPA on the device.
– Place it onthe massage device with care.
There are hook-and-loop strips onthe bottom leftand right which serve to
attach the device to the massage device.
–Clean the surface.

– Separate the hook-and-loop strips onboth sides.
–Remove the filmfrom the two hook-and-loop strips.
– Apply hook-and-loop stripto theedge at the headend and stick it flush to
theframe.
– Lift thedevice by the transport bracket.
– Bring the device into positionabove the massage device and carefully
lower itinto place. The top hook-and-loop stripmust line up with the lower
hook-and-loopstrip.
–Insert anglebracket (1) and do nottighten screws (2) (leave loosefor
later adjustment).
