Wen 56380i Parts list manual

This is a guide to replacing the multi-meter for your WEN 56380i Inverter enerator. This
guide is best used in conjunction with the 56380i manual, included as a physical copy with
your unit and available on the WEN website page for the 56380i (link here), by clicking “Click
here to view the product manual”.

OOLS NEEDED
•Phillips-head screwdriver
•7mm combination wrench
ENSURE THAT THE EN INE IS COOL BEFORE BE INNIN ANY MAINTENANCE OR REPAIR WORK. FOLLOW
ALL SAFETY PROCEDURES LISTED IN YOUR OWNER’S MANUAL. USE COMMON SENSE. AVOID INJURY.
REMOVING HE OLD MUL I-ME ER
1. Disconnect the negative battery wire from the battery according to the instructions in the manual.
2. Disconnect the spark plug boot from the spark plug according to the instructions in the manual.

3. Remove the six screws from around the outside of the panel (red arrows, Fig. 3 below), as well as the screw
from the center of the 3-in-1 knob (blue arrow, Fig. 3 below).

4. Remove the 3-in-1 knob to expose the switch (Fig. 4 below).
5. Pull the panel forward to reveal the multi-meter mounted on two screws. See Fig. 5 below. Remove the two
mounting nuts (red arrows) with the 7mm wrench.

6. Slide the multi-meter off the screws and flip it over. There is a small latch tab on the bottom. Press the tab (red
arrow) to release the latch, and slide the connector apart. See Figs. 6 & 7 below.

7. Follow the steps above in reverse (connect the connector, mount the meter, re-install and tighten the nuts.
8. When re-mounting the panel, mount two or three of the panel-mounting screws (red arrows, Fig. 3) to hold the
panel in position, but do not tighten them down.
9. Re-install the 3-in-1 knob in the same orientation as you removed it. Make sure, after tightening the mounting
screw, that it operates properly.
10. Install the other panel-mounting screws and tighten all screws.
11. Re-connect the spark plug boot and the negative battery wire according to the instructions in your owner’s
manual.
12. Power up the generator and make sure everything operates properly.
