SPORTSMAN GRILLE GUARD

1. Remove contents from box. Verify that all parts listed are present and free from damage. Carefully read and understand install instructions before attempting installation.

2. The plastic lower valance must be removed from the vehicle to complete installation. Use a flat blade screwdriver to remove the two clips on the opposite sides of the

valance then un-attach. Valance could be trimmed to fit mounting brackets.

3. Starting at the driver side, locate the lower mounting channel on the vehicle frame located behind the front bumper. Remove the factory bolt and nut-clip from the channel.

4. Attach the driver side lower mounting bracket to the frame channel using (1) M8 X 30MM Hex Bolt, (2) M8 Flat Washers, (1) M8 Lock Nut, (2) M10 X 30MM Hex Bolts,

(4) M10 Flat Washers, and (2) M10 Lock Nuts. Do not fully tighten at this time. (FIGURE 2)

5. Repeat steps 3-4 for the passenger side.

6. Remove the four top screws that hold the vehicle grille to the radiator support. Carefully pull the grille back to remove the bottom bolts. (Caution: pulling too much can

cause damage to grille) (FIGURE 4,5)

7. Insert each top bracket into the nearest grille opening. And secure with the factory bolt. (FIGURE 6)

8. Attach the grille guard to the lower mounting brackets using (6) M12 Hex Bolts, (6) M12 Lock Nuts, and (12) M12 Flat Washers.

9. Attach the Grille Guard to the upper mounting brackets using (2) M6 Button Head Screws, (2) M6 Lock Nuts, and (4) M6 Flat Washers. Mounting Brackets should be

positioned under the grille guard light bracket. (FIGURE 7)

10. Adjust as desired and tighten all fasteners at this time. Tighten to: M12 30 FT-LBS, M10 20 FT-LBS, M6 5 FT-LBS.

FINISH PROTECTION

Westin products have a high quality finish that must be cared for like any other exposed finish on the vehicle. Protect the finish with a non-abrasive automotive wax, (e.g. Pure

Carnauba) on a regular basis. The use of any soap, polish or wax that contains an abrasive is detrimental, as the compounds scratch the finish and open it to corrosion.
