• Use soft tissue with alcohol or glass cleaner to clean the surface if it is
dirty. Do NOT use detergents or other chemicals.
• Keep it away from water, heat and extreme coldness.
• The scale is a high precision measuring device. Do not attempt to
disassemble it and handle with care.
• The scale is for household use only.
• Check the battery if the scale malfunctions and change if necessary.
HANDLING ALKALINE BATTERIES
1. Shoulduidfromthebatteryaccidentallygetintoyoureyes,thereisathreat
of loss of eyesight, do not rub them. Immediately rinse your eyes with clean tap
water and then consult a physician immediately.
2. Donotputthebatteryinare,exposeittoheat,dismantleormodifyit.Ifthe
insulationorsafetyvalveisdamaged,thebatterymayleakuid,overheator
explode.
3. Do not insert the battery with the poles reversed. Doing so may cause some
abnormalityorashortandthebatterymayleakuid,overheatorexplode.
4. Keep the battery out of the reach of children. If the battery is swallowed, contact
a physician immediately.
5. Ifthealkaliuidgetsinyourmouth,rinseyourmouthwithwaterandcontacta
physician immediately.
6. Ifthealkaliuidgetsonyourskinorclothes,itmayburnyourskin,thoroughly
rinse the affected area with tap water.
7. Do not mix new and old batteries or other makes of batteries. The different
attributesmaycausethebatterytoleakuid,overheatorexplode.
8. This battery was not made to be recharged. Recharging this battery may damage
theinsulationorinternalstructureandmaycausethebatterytoleakuid,
overheat or explode.
9. Do not damage or remove the label on the exterior of the battery. Doing so may
causethebatterytoshort,leakuid,overheatorexplode.
10. Do not drop, throw or expose the battery to extreme impact. Doing so may cause
thebatterytoleakuid,overheatorexplode.
11. Do not alter the shape of the battery. If the insulation or safety valve is damaged,
thebatterymayleakuid,overheatorexplode.
12. Immediately remove batteries when they have lost all power. Leaving the
batteriesintheunitforalongtimemaycausethebatteriestoleakuid,overheat
or explode due to gas that is generated by the batteries.

When handling alkaline batteries, basic safety precautions
should be followed, including the following

13. Remove the batteries from the unit when not using the unit for an extended
periodoftime.Thebatteriesmayleakuid,overheatorexplodeduetogasthat
is generated by the batteries.
14. Do not apply solder directly to the batteries. The heat may cause the batteries to
leakuid,overheatorexplode.
15. Do not get the batteries wet. Doing so may cause the batteries to overheat
16. Store batteries someplace out of direct sunlight where the temperature and
humidityarenothigh.Notdoingsomaycausethebatteriestoleakuid,
overheat or explode. Also, it may cause the life and performance of the batteries
to decline.
17. Follow the regulations of the local government when disposing of these batteries.

OPERATION
• Insert 2 “AAA” alkaline batteries into battery holder on the end of the scale. Open
the cover, install the batteries being sure polarity is correct and close cover.
NOTE: If polarity is correct, LCD display will light when cover is back in place.
• If batteries are already loaded and unit is OFF, press Power/Tare button to turn unit
ON.
• Once display is showing “0”, press UNIT button to select “lb” pounds, “kg”
kilograms, “g” grams or “oz” ounces.
• Secure the strap to the item you wish to weigh (i.e. a suitcase via its handle). Lift
upright and remain still. After a few seconds the scale will show the weight data on
the screen. When the weight is shown along with “HOLD” the data is locked and
ready to read.
NOTE: For optimum accuracy, do not touch what you are weighing or anything else
until the data is locked. If you do not remain still while weighing your item,
“UNST” may appear in the display to indicate instability.
• If you wish to weigh more than one item, press the Power/Tare button to clear the
weight of the item already on the strap. The screen will show “0”, put the next item
on the strap and the weight of the additional item will be displayed on the screen.
Continue to press the Power/Tare button if you want to add, and weigh, additional
items.
• Once all items are removed from the strap a “-“ symbol with the total weight of all
of the items together will appear in the display.
• When finished, press and hold the Power/Tare button for several seconds, the unit
will power off or it will shutoff automatically after approximately 1 minute.

RECOMMENDATIONS
• Change battery when appears on the LCD which indicates that the battery is
running out of power.
• ”Err” showing on LCD indicates overload, surpassing the 88 pound
weight limit of this product. Remove all items quickly if “Err”
indicator appears.
USING THE BUILT-IN LED
FLASHLIGHT
• With power to the scale portion of this product OFF, press the bottom
portion of the Power/Tare/Unit/Flashlight button to turn the LED
flashlight ON. To turn off, press the same button again.

purchaser that the product will be free from
defects in material, parts and workmanship for the
period designated for this product. The warranty
commences the day the product is purchased and
covers up to a period of 1 year (12 months) for
labor/1 year (12 months) for parts (manufacturing
defects only)/carry in service.
W Appliance Co. agrees that it will, at its option,
replace the defective product with either a new
or remanufactured product equivalent to your
original purchase during the warranty period.
Exclusions: This warranty does not apply to the
below:
1. If the appearance or exterior of the product has
beendamagedordefaced,alteredormodied
in design or construction.
2. If the product original serial number has been
altered or removed or cannot be readily
determined.
3. If damage is due to general misuse, accidents or
acts of God.
4. If repair attempts are done by unauthorized
service agents, use of parts other than genuine
parts or parts obtained from persons other than
authorized service companies.
5. On units that have been transferred from the
original owner.
6. On products that have been purchased as
refurbished, like new, second-hand, in a “As-Is”
or “Final Sale” terms.
7. To products used in a commercial or rental
setting.
8. To products used in settings other than
ordinary household use or used other than in
accordance with the provided instructions.
9. To damages for service calls for improper
installations.
10. To glass parts and other accessory items that
are included with the unit.
11. Transportation and shipping costs associated
with the replacement of the unit.
12. Service calls to instruct you how to use your
product.
REPAIR OR REPLACEMENT AS PROVIDED
UNDER THIS WARRANTY IS THE EXCLUSIVE
REMEDY OF THE CUSTOMER; W Appliance Co.
SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INCIDENTAL
OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES FOR BREACH
OF ANY EXPRESS OR IMPLIED WARRANTY

PROHIBITED BY APPLICABLE LAW. ANY
