5.2. Attachment to the Cruiser
Note
The direction of travel is not important for installing the Cart on the
Cruiser.
•Take the belts (11) and mount them as shown in the pictures below.
A
11
•Loop the fastening belts underneath the Cruiser.
•Push the fastening belts through the slits intended for them, pull them
tight and at the same time adjust the holding brackets to the width of
your Cruiser.
B
•Secure the belts with the belt clamp.
•Shorten the belt if it is too long.
C
Note
The belt is designed to accommodate a 10” scooter. If you shorten it
for a 6.5” scooter, it will no longer be usable for a 10” scooter.
Note
If the scooter begins beeping steadily after the board is mounted, then
the kart may be attached too tightly. Loosen the straps. If the scooter
continues to beep, consult the service notes in the scooter operating
instructions or contact Hama support.
•Regularly check that the fastening belts are securely attached and pulled
tight.

5
5.3. Installing the front frame part
•Open the two quick-release fasteners (7) and join the front (12) and rear
(10) frame parts.
A
10
12
•Tighten the knurled nuts on the quick-release fasteners until the quick-
release levers can be closed tightly but without undue force.
B
•Fully secure both quick-release fasteners by pushing the levers as far as
they will go.
C
Warning – Stability of the frame connection
•Make absolutely certain that the two frame parts are tted together
at least as far as the stamped marking (approx. 10 cm) in order to
guarantee sucient stability of the frame.
Note
•If the connection between the frame parts feels insecure or starts
to bend, push the frame parts further together until the connection
becomes more robust.
•During this process, make sure to also check that the quick-release
fasteners are tightened.
•Always tighten the levers by pushing them parallel to the frame
tubing (not upwards or downwards) so that they cannot get caught.
6. Driving and steering
•Seat yourself on the Cart and place your feet on the footrests without
touching the control stick.
Note – First drives
•Switch on your Cruiser and activate CART mode as described in the
operating instructions.
•Start the Cart moving only once you are securely seated as described
above.
•Start off keeping all of your control stick movements cautious and
unhurried in order to gradually become accustomed to the control
and handling characteristics of the vehicle.
•Occasional squeaking noises coming from the control stick while
using it are normal.
•Drive forwards by simultaneously pushing both control sticks down (g. A).
•Stop by simultaneously pulling both control sticks up (g. B).
Warning – Braking time on downward slopes
•Note that the vehicle does not brake, but rather rolls to a stop.
•Therefore, always make sure that you have enough room to safely
come to a stop.
•On upward and downward slopes, the Cart behaves differently from
the Cruiser without the Cart.
•For example, sudden quick acceleration on upward slopes may
cause the front wheel to lose traction and lead to loss of control
over the Cart.
•On downward slopes, the Cart can accelerate unusually quickly,
which may lead to loss of control over the Cart.
•Therefore, take your time getting used to the different handling.
•Turn left by pulling the left control stick upwards and pushing the right
control stick downwards (g. C).
•Turn right by pulling the right control stick upwards and pushing the left
control stick downwards (g. D).
Warning – Stability of the frame connection while driving
•If the connection between the frame parts feels insecure or starts
to bend while you are driving, stop the vehicle immediately and
get out. It may cause sudden loss of control and cause injury to the
driver and/or bystanders.
•Ensure the stability of the connection between the frame parts as
described in section 5 before attempting to resume driving.
