•Please comply strictly with the following instructions which are intended to ensure safe
operation of the controller.
•Application of voltages other than the rated voltage may seriously damage the internal
elements
•Separate the WiCave Module from any potential sources of noise, such as high-voltage
lines. When using inductive loads(e.g., electromagnetic relays), connect noise-
absorbing elements (resistor and capacitor) to both ends of the coil.
•Do not install the module close to sources of excessive static electricity (e.g., forming
compounds, powders, or fluid materials being transported by pipe). Locations subject
to temperatures or humidity outside the range specified in the specifications.
•Do not use the WiCave Module in dusty environments, in locations where corrosive
gases are present, or in locations subject to direct sunlight.
•This product is not waterproof or oil-proof. Do not use it in locations where water or oil
may enter the product interior.
•Take adequate protective measures for the power supply of the Time Switch (such as
providing a breaker and fuse).

Types of loads compatible with WiCave home:
•-Each WI cave Home module is capable of handling 4 loads.
•WiCave Home enables ON/OFF loads and also it can regulate speed of fan or
control intensity of dimmable type lamps.
•A : Light sources(CFL, LED lamps, etc),, Television, Desktop computer and other
utility appliances.
•B: Speed controlled /Dimmable loads: Incandescent lamps, halogen lamps,
dimmable CFL lamps, dimmable LED lamps, dimmable ceiling fans and other
dimmable resistive and inductive loads.

•Warning: If you are not confident with electrical wiring please call WiCave
representative or your local electrician.

•1. Locate and turn OFF all circuit breakers associated with your
Switchboard system in which the WiCave module is to be installed.
2. Check the Wi-Fi signal strength at the switch board, signal strength
should greater than 75%.If it is less than 75% then, and adjust the router
near to the switch board.
•3. Open the switchboard top cover. Assure there is no
power using a line tester.
•4. Identify Line and neutral wires .
•5. Identify the loads to which the module is to be connected.
•6. Disconnect the loads from the respective switches.

Configuring the WiCave System
Download Install the app from the Appstore for IPhone Users or Play store for Android user
on your Mobile.
Follow the Steps as indicated :
Step 1: Click on the Wi Cave Logo and open the App to start the configuration

Step 3: Creating a Controller
a. Go to ‘Menu’ and then click ‘Settings’.
b. Click on ‘Controller’ .
c. Click on ‘add new controller’.
d. Enter Controller Details and then click ‘Save’.
Notes:
The controller name should be unique
IP Address should be the one which you intend to use for that controller.
It should be unique for a particular home/router
Maximum controls can be 4 or 8 depending on the controller installed

e. On pressing back or going to ‘Settings’ -> ‘Controller’ you can see the controller you created
f. Click on ‘Edit’ icon on the right bottom of the Controller you created.
g. Click on ‘Configure Controller’. Enter appropriate details and then click ‘Configure’.
h. Make sure your are connected to the WiFi network of the Controller. Press ‘Yes’ if you are satisfied
e. f. g. h.
Notes:
a. Controller has to be configured only once and not on every phone. This step can be skipped if controller is already configured.
b. Before trying to configure a controller to this make sure of the following
i. The controller is powered on
ii.You can see a Wi-Fi network with SSID of WiCaveAP
iii.Connect to that SSID with password as ‘password’ using your phone’s Wi-Fi connection method
c. While entering details note that
i.Router SSID is for the router you use at home
ii.Password is for your router
iii.Details of Router Gateway and Subnet mask may vary as per the make and setup of your router. You can check this by going to admin page of your router.
Giving ‘ipconfig’ command on the command window of any pc connected to the router can also help
iv. Controller IP has to be same as one selected while creating the Controller

Step 4: Creating a Device.
a. Go to ‘Menu’ and then click ‘Settings’.
b. Click on ‘ Device’ .
c. Click on ‘add new Devices’.
d. Enter Appropriate Details and then click ‘Save’.

Notes:
Give appropriate device name.
Select image from the dropdown as you wish
Select proper controller which is managing the device
Select appropriate pin number
Speed/ Diming :If the device required speed control for example fans or bulbs check the requires speed control box.

e. Lights , fans etc can be named as per user choice.
f. The icons for the devices can be chosen from icon dropdown menu.
g. On pressing back or going to ‘Settings’ -> ‘Devices’ you can see the Devices you created
h. On the home page of app you can see the devices in All Devices as well

Step 5: Creating a Zone.
a. Go to ‘Menu’ and then click ‘Settings’.
b. Click on ‘ Zones’ .
c. Click on ‘add new Zone’.
d. Enter Appropriate Details and then click ‘Save’.

e. Give unique zone name, select image you want and check the devices you want in that zone and press ‘Save’
The icons for the Zones can be chosen from icon dropdown menu.
f. On pressing back or going to ‘Settings’ -> ‘Zones’ you can see the Zones you created.
On Home tab you can see the zone created. By operating the switch given on the right on/OFf zone you can
control all the devices in the zone
g. By clicking on the zone you can access the devices individually .
h. Refreshing app to update/synchronize status of all devices swipe down on the home tab
