Introduction
Thank you for purchasing this quality product. To ini ize the risk of injury we urge that our cli-
ents take so e basic safety precautions when using this device. Please read the operation in-
structions carefully and ake sure you have understood its content.
Keep these operation instructions safe.
General safety instructions
Attention: The device may only be used with a residual current circuit breaker with a tripping
rated current of up to 30=m (according to VDE 0100 Part 702 and 738).
This device is not intended to be used by people (including children) with limited physical, sensory or
mental abilities or lack of experience and/or knowledge, unless they are supervised or instructed by a
person responsible for their safety on how to use this device. Children should be supervised to ensure
that they do not play with the device.
During the operation of the device, the temperature of the soldering iron is between 100=℃ and
480=℃. This could result in injury or damage to equipment in the work area if the soldering station is
not handled carefully.
Please observe the following principles when working with the device:
fter opening the delivery package, please check that each part of the device is in a good
condition and that there is no visible damage caused during transit. If there is obvious
damage, please do not put the device into operation and contact your dealer i ediately.
Switch off the device and disconnect the mains plug if you move the device.
void exposing parts of the device to increased mechanical stress (impact, shock, etc.).
Attention:
Perform a visual inspection of the device before every use. Do not use the device if safety
devices are damaged or worn. Never disable safety devices.
Only use the device for the purpose specified in these instructions for use.
You are responsible for the safety in the work area.
If the cable or plug is damaged due to external influences, the cable must under no circum -
stances not be repaired, but must be replaced with a new one by a qualified technician.
The voltage of 230=V C specified on the type label of the device must correspond to the ex -
isting mains voltage.
Never lift, transport or attach the device to the power cord.
Make sure that the electrical plug connections are protected from flood and moisture.
Disconnect the mains plug before carrying out any work on the device.
void exposing the device to a direct jet of water.
The operator is responsible for compliance with local safety and installation regulations (ask a
qualified electrician if necessary).
If the device should fail, repair work may only be carried out by a qualified electrician.
Warning: Do Read all safety instructions and notes. Failure to follow the safety precautions
and instructions may result in electric shock, fire and/or serious injury. Keep all safety information and
instructions for future reference.

Electrical connection
The electrical connection is made at a 230=V ~ 50=Hz socket outlet with earthing fuse protection at
least 10= .
Co issioning
Place the unit on a level, stable surface with a temperature not higher than 40= . Position the unit ho℃-
rizontally so that it may operate correctly. Then connect it to the power supply.
Safety precautions
Using the machine, you should follow the following basic measures to avoid electric shock, injuries, or
damages caused by fire.
To ensure personal safety, please turn off the main power switch after you have completed
your work. lways unplug the power cord when the machine is not in use for a longer time.
You must use approved and recommended original parts. Otherwise this will lead to con-
sequences and the warranty will void.
Machine failures must only be repaired by the manufacturer or an authorized service partner.
Do not repair the product on your own.
This product is grounded by a three-wire plug. It must always be plugged into a fitting socket
that is grounded as well. The plug must never be changed in any kind or used with a socket
without grounding.
When the soldering iron or soldering station is switched on, the temperature is likely to reach
400= . Do not use the station near flammable gases or objects. The emitted heat is very high℃
and can cause serious burns. Never do touch the hot pipe and avoid exposition of heat to the
human body.
Please ensure that the environment is safe for work when turning on the soldering iron. Never
leave the station unattended when it is switched on.
When the soldering iron is in work, never install a new nozzle while it is working or still hot.
The heat pipe and nozzle must have time to cool down after being switched off. fter the parts
had time to cool down, another nozzle may be installed.
If you want to box the station after use, let it cool down first.
Do not use the soldering iron outside. Never try to clear the residual flux of the working sur-
face with the soldering iron. This will cause serious damage to the iron.
The machine will produce smoke during operation. Please be sure that the piece where it is
operated is properly ventilated.
Warning!
If the supply cord is damaged, it has to be replaced with a new electricity cable; this work is
only allowed to be done by a qualified technician.
Warning: This tool must be placed on its stand when it is not in use.
Be careful when using the appliance in places where there are combustible materials; do not
apply the station to the same place for a long time.
Be aware that heat may be conducted to combustible materials that are out of sight. Never
leave the device unattended when it is switched on.
This device is not intended for use by people (including children) with reduced physical, sens-
ory or mental capabilities or lack of experience or knowledge. Unless they are supervised or
have been instructed regarding the use of the device by a person responsible for their safety,
they are not allowed to work with the station.

Maintenance and use of the tips
Tip te perature
High soldering temperatures can degrade the tip. Use the lowest possible sol-
dering temperature. The excellent thermal recovery characteristics ensure ef-
fective soldering at low temperatures. This protects the soldered items from
thermal damage, too.
Cleaning
s oxides and carbides from the solder and flux can form impurities on the tip,
clean the tip regularly with a cleaning sponge. These impurities can lead to de-
fective joints or reduce the tips heat conductivity. When using the soldering
iron continuously, be sure to loosen the tip and remove all oxides at least once
a week. This helps to prevent seizures and reduction of the tip temperature.
When not in use
Never leave the soldering iron rest at a high temperature for longer periods of
time, as the solder plating of the tip will be covered with oxide, which can
greatly reduce the thermal conductivity of the tip.
After use Clean the tip and coat it with fresh solder.
When the soldering iron is used for the first time, you should pay attention to the monitor to
see the temperature. Wait until the temperature is able to melt a tin wire. Put a thin layer of tin
on the gold-plated part of the iron tip and then increase the temperature to the required height.
Keep in mind that the iron tip needs protection by a thin layer of tin if you want to use it for a
longer period of time to be able to achieve an optimal soldering function.
When it comes to a thin layer of oxide on the surface of the iron tip, this might result in incor-
rect low temperature indication. It might become unable to melt tin although the heating ele -
ments of the station have a high temperature. If this happens, do not increase the temperature
without knowing if the iron tip is oxidised. Please turn the power off and clean the iron tip with
a sponge. If this does not help, wait until the temperature of the iron has dropped to room tem-
perature. Then you can gently clean off the oxide with sandpaper. fter this, repeat the pro-
cess explained firstly.
Please pay attention when you put the iron back into its holder at a high temperature. In this
case, you should adjust the temperature button below 250= . If the idle time should exceed℃
20=min, please turn the power supply off. Otherwise the soldering iron would have a too high
temperature for too long. The heat will generate an accumulated temperature which leads to
accelerated ageing of the heating element and other components. Furthermore this will lead to
faster oxidation weakening the soldering efficiency. It also might lead to plastic melting off the
handle or heating elements having a short circuit.
If the tip deformation or erosions becomes too heavy, please replace the tip with a new one.
While soldering do not give too much pressure on the iron tips. More pressure will not in-
crease the thermal conductivity and will result in damages of the iron tip.
