browser.Theuserfriendlyinstallationprocedureandintuitiveweb‐basedinterfaceallowseasyintegrationwithyour
homeorbusinessnetworkorWiFi.TheY‐camalsocomeswithmotiondetectionsoftwarethatcangeneratealarm

cannotconnectwirelesslytothecamerawithoutfirstsettingitupviaanetworkcable.
YoushouldconnecttheY‐camintoyourinternetrouter(normallysuppliedbyyourbroadbandprovider),aswitchbox
orhub(thatisconnectedtoyourcomputersnetwork)ordirectlytoyourcomputer(giveslimitedviewingoptions,sothis
isnotrecommended).

Inmostcases,thisisnotrequiredastherouterwillassignthecorrectsettingstothecamera.Itishoweverusefulifyou
wanttosetuptheTCP/IPsettingsofthecamerabeforeyouconnecttoit,ifDHCPisdisabledacrossyournetwork,orif
youhavesubnetnetworkproblems.
AssigninganIPaddresstotheCamerawithY‐camSetuputility
1.LaunchCameraSetupprogramtodetectcamerasonthelocalnetwork.
2.Clickon“Setup”buttonandthefollowingsetupinterfacewillpopup.
3. Enterauniquenameforthecamera,thelocation(optional)andleavethedefaultportnumberas80.“ObtainanIP

Nowyouhaveyourcameraattachedandthesoftwareready,youarereadytofindyourcameraonyournetwork.
Double‐clicktheY‐camicononyourDesktoptolaunchtheY‐camSetupprogram.
TheY‐camSetuputilityshouldautomaticallyfindyourcameraifitiscorrectlyconnected(Seeimagebelow).
Sometimestheprogrammaytakeafewminutestofindyourcamera,soifyourcameraisn’tdisplayed,waitafew
momentsandthenclick“Refresh”tosearchforcamerasagain.
[Setup]‐SelecttherequiredcameraandclickSetuptoconfigurethenetworksettingsforthecamera.
[Open]‐SelecttherequiredcameraandclickOpentoaccessthecameraviaawebbrowser(sameasdoubleclick)
[Exit]‐ClickExittoexittheCameraSetupwindow.
AnytimeyoulosetheIPaddressofyourY‐camcamera,youcanruntheSetupSoftwaretoeasilyfinditagain.
Onceyourcameraisdisplayed,eitherchose“Open”toopenthecamera,orashortcutistojustdoubleclickonthe
camerayouwanttoview.
