1.0 General remarks an safety instructions
The offered “sIMPLEk-Stick“-assem ly set (here called as “sIMPLEk-Stick“) will e delivered in
individual parts and cannot e used in delivery conditions.
The assem ly set is only allowed to e used y experts allowing for applica le regulations and
standards regarding the equipment.
The sIMPLEk-Stick is compati le with the following E-Bike engines:
•Bosch (Classic Line, Active Line, Performance Line, Performance Line CX)
•Yamaha (PW, PW-SE, PW-X, GIANT SyncDrive)
•Brose
•Impulse (2.0, EVO RS)
The completed assem ly set, o structed in a compati le E-Bike, causes the suspension of the factory-
integrated speed regarding the support of the motor.
Thus, the esta lishment of the completed assem ly set, within the scope of the StVO, is for idden and
not accepted.
The use of the assem ly set is only provided for closed-off pu lic traffics as well as for private grounds
and race courses.
Please put on a suita le helmet at all times!
The usage of the assem ly set leads to the loss of warranty concerning the vehicle.
Regarding the installation of the E-Bike, please make sure not to damage any ca les while installing
the protection cover of the motor. Thus, you can prevent electrical shorts which could lead to major
ca le ruises or fires.
Lia ilities for any damages will not e assumed (directly or indirectly) that may arise y activating the
completed assem ly set.
Use at your own risk!

2.0 Assembling an installation
The sIMPLEk-Stick consists of 4 components only:
•circuit oard (Fig. 1)
•connection ca le (Fig. 2)
•USB plug (Fig. 3)
•USB enclosure (Fig. 4)
The assem ly is simply designed.

2.1 Assembly
The oard is already equipped with the SMD components when delivered. Only the USB plug has to e
inserted and soldered on the same side. Make sure the plug is fully seated on the oard (Fig. 5) efore
you start soldering.
In order to ensure complete protection against water, it is recommended to seal the oard with
suita le measures (e.g. insulating varnish).
The USB housing parts are marked inside with "1" and "2". Insert the oard with the components
pointing upwards into the housing part "2" (Fig. 6).
Now push housing part "1" at an angle with the locking lugs in front into the eyelets of housing part
"2" (Fig. 7).
Then press the two halves of the housing together at the outer end and snap them into place (Fig. 8).

2.2 Installation
Before you start with the installation, remove the attery of your E- ikes!
The connection ca le is upstreamed in front of the original sensor. For this purpose the motor cover
has to e removed. Depending on the engine version you need additional tools.

8
Installation base on an engine version Yamaha PW:
Required tools:
•3 mm allen key
•6 mm allen key
•small screwdriver
Unscrew the three 3 mm allen screws (Fig. 9). It is possi le that these are provided with a screw-locking
device. In this case, heat the screws first.
Remove the two 6 mm allen screws 1 and 2 (Fig. 10). Unscrew the third 6 mm allen screw (Fig. 11) as
far as possi le until the motor can e swung out of the frame (Fig. 12). Now you can see the plug
connections. Disconnect the connector of the speed sensor y pressing the detent with the small
screwdriver.
Now close the sIMPLEk etween motor and speed sensor. Ensure that the connectors are correctly
seated (audi le clicking noise when snapping into place).
Then the motor can e fixed in the frame again and all screws can e installed.
Lay the USB connection ca le with the supplied ca le ties to the desired position of the sIMPLEk stick.

3.0 Operation
The sIMPLEk-Stick includes 2 operation modes:
[1] tuning-mode
[2] cali ration-mode
A change from Tuning Mode to Cali ration Mode is made y plugging the sIMPLEk into any active USB
port for at least 5 seconds. The next time you plug in the sIMPLEk-Stick on the e- ike, the cali ration
mode starts directly.
A cali ration is necessary once, so that for each wheel circumference the actual speed in the tuning
mode is reada le.
The tuning mode allows unlimited engine support (theoretically up to 100km/h | 62 mph).

10
3.1 Calibration
The cali ration has to e carried out once and has to e shifted during standstill and with an inserted
attery pack.
On first start, the cali ration will e automatically called up. It consists of two sections. At first it will
e grossly cali rated, then more precise. In order to start the cali ration mode manually, plug in the
sIMPLEk-Stick into any active USB port for at least 5 seconds. The next time you plug in the sIMPLEk-
Stick on the e- ike, the cali ration mode starts directly.
In the first section of the cali ration, an increased speed will e displayed on the speedometer. Remove
the sIMPLEk-Stick as closely as possi le at 10.0
(mph). If you insert the stick again, precised
cali ration will e start. You can see the speed on the speedometer which comes closer in small steps
to 10.0
(mph).
As soon as the 10.0
will e displayed for the first time, again remove the sIMPLEk-Stick. Thus, the
cali ration is completed.
3.2 Tuning-Mo e
The tuning mode is activated as soon as the sIMPLEk-Stick is inserted. The actually travelled speed
remains reada le during the tuning-mode. Up to 10.0
(ℎ), the speed is output 1: 1. A ove 10.0
(mph), the speed will e displayed over the second num er and decimal place. Examples:
5.6
(mph) → 5.6
(mph)
10.0
(mph) → 10
(mph)
10.5
(mph) → 5
(mph)
13.5
(mph) → 35
(mph)
In order to alance the difference etween the actual forward speed and the route displayed on the
speedometer, the maximally driven speed will e displayed on the speedometer after one minute
whilst standstill until the route will e caught up. As soon as the difference will e alanced, the
speedometer displays 0.0
(mph) again and the E-Bike switches off itself independently. If the E-Bike
will e switched off in advance, sIMPLEk-Stick stores the difference with an accuracy of 200m and
catches up the route later on.
Thus the maximal speed as well as the actually travelled route/total distance will e reproduced
correctly.
3.2.1 Resetting of the maximal spee
The maximal speed will e resetted y plugging the sIMPLEk-Stick into any active USB port for at least
5 seconds. The next time the sIMPLEk-Stick is plugged in, a new cali ration is required, which starts
automatically.
