SOUND
MAKING
1 Beforeplaying
the synthesizer,
you must start
by making
your own originalsounds.
2 The signals.which flow from the left side of
the control panelto the right, can be controlled
by the respectivecontrol
knobs.
3 Setthe controls
of the VCF andVCA asshown
in the abovedrawing
(Basic
Setting).The signalof
the intervalof the key that hasbeendepressed
will
be produced
without receivingany "spicing"from
eitherthe VCF. or VCA.
. With the synthesizerin this mode,
if theBAL-
ANCE leveris positioned
towardthe "1" side,
saw-tooth
waves
of VCO-1willbe
fed
outwithout
anymodulation,and
when
positioned
towardthe
"2" side,square
waveswill befedout. Further,
l"l t:-, l1.;
when
positioned
to themiddle,waveformswhere-
inthetwo are
combined
will be
fed
out.
4 Startingfrom BasicSetting,make soundsfor
one systemeach.
Finally.
mix the 2 systems.and
complete
the overallsound.In theCS--10,thesignal

into severalkinds
of patterns
by selectingthe input selectorandby carryingout

5 The operationalsequenceof three signalflow
patterns
is describedbelow.
6 ln actual sound making, the sequencecan be
freely changed,while cclnfirmingthe soundswith

knobs.
or
changing
the flow pattern.However,
if you adjust
the controls in a disorderlymanner.
you would
eventuallybecometooconfused
tounderstand
which
block you are controlling,or which controlto use
for which block. When carryingout adjustrnent,
you shouldbe alwaysmindful of the flow of the

of the control
