SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

Learn how to operate the device. Do not start working or charging before reading the instructions manual. Following the guidelines

contained in the instructions manual reduces the risk of injury, electric shock or ﬁre.

The device is designed for indoor use only and should not be exposed to precipitation.

The device is not intended for use in potentially explosive atmospheres in highly humid and dusty environments. The temperature

at the workplace should be within the range of +5OC to +40OC, and the relative humidity should not exceed 80%. The device

should not be operated near places where water is sprayed.

Operating the device at too low a temperature can cause the lubricants to lose their properties and not provide proper lubrication

of the device’s systems. Operation at temperatures below 0OC can lead to the freezing of condensate inside the tank. Warning!

During a cold start-up, high oil viscosity, clogged oil ﬁlters, or malfunctioning valves can cause an oil shortage.

Place the device only on a hard, even and ﬂat surface.

Make sure that the ventilation openings in the device housing are not obstructed during and after operation.

During operation, some elements of the housing may become hot – touching them may cause burns. It is forbidden to use the

compressor without safety guards. For transporting the device use only its handle. The device must be turned oﬀbefore trans-

porting it. The power switch must be in the oﬀposition and the power cord plug disconnected from the power source. The device

must not be transported with the pressurised tank.

Observe the maximum pressure of the inﬂated products. Use a pressure gauge (built-in or separate) to control the pressure inside

the inﬂated product. Exceeding the maximum pressure may cause damage to the inﬂated product or even its rupture. Rupturing

the product can cause serious injuries.

Periodically check that the readings of the pressure gauge built into the device match those of the calibrated pressure gauge.

Check the tool for damage before each use. If you notice any cracks, abrasions or other damage, do not use the tool until the

defects are removed.

The device is designed for use with ﬂexible pressure hoses only. The hoses connected to the device should withstand at least the

pressure that the compressor is capable of generating. Hoses for pressures higher than 7 bar / 0.7 MPa should be equipped with

a protective shell, e.g. in the form of wire ropes.

Before connecting the hose to the device, check that the hose is not damaged. If abrasions, cracks or air leaks of the insulation

are discovered, stop using the damaged hose and replace it with a new hose before commencing work.

Never bend or twist the hose during operation. Bending the hose can reduce its inside diameter even to the point where the air

ﬂow stops. This can lead to damage to the hose or even to its rupture, which can result in serious injuries. Bending and twisting

the hose also speeds up hose wear. Never carry the tool holding it by the hose. Do not overtension the hose during operation.

Avoid the creation of long lines for the transfer of compressed air. Shorter lines are easier to control.

All devices and accessories connected to the compressor should withstand at least the pressure that the compressor is capable

of generating.

It is forbidden to adjust or modify the safety valve on your own. The improperly adjusted or modiﬁed safety valve may cause

damage to the product, which may result in serious injury.

Do not use the device as an artiﬁcial respiration device, for spraying any substance, or for any other application not described in

the instructions manual. The compressor may only be used to compress air. It is forbidden to compress other gases.

Never point the air stream toward yourself, other people, or animals. Do not use your ﬁnger or any other part of the body to check

if the device is pumping air.

Make sure that the device is turned oﬀbefore connecting the hose and accessories to the device. Children and pets must not be

near the device when in use. The device is not intended to be used by children.

The device should be used, transported and stored in a vertical position. Using, transporting and storing the device in a position

other than vertical may damage the product.

Recommendations for connecting the device to the power supply

Before connecting the device to the power supply, make sure that the voltage, frequency, and the mains capacity correspond to

the values shown on the device’s rating plate. The plug must ﬁt into the power socket. It is forbidden to modify the plug or socket

in any manner to make them ﬁt.

The device must be connected directly to a single mains socket. The supply network circuit should be equipped with a protective

conductor and a protective device of 16 A. When using extension cords, use an extension cord with three wires that can withstand

a 16 A current load.

Avoid contact of the power cord with sharp edges, hot objects or surfaces, including those of the device. During operation, the

power cord must always be fully extended and the position of the power cord must be set so that it does not become an obsta-

cle during product operation. The power cord should not be placed in a manner which would pose a risk of tripping. The power

supply socket should be located in a place where it is always possible to quickly remove the product power cord plug. Always

pull the power cord by the plug housing when unplugging it, never by the cord. It is forbidden to bring the power cable close to a

hot device. If the power cord or the plug is damaged, immediately disconnect it from the mains and contact an authorised service

centre of the manufacturer for replacement. Do not replace the power cord by yourself. Do not use the product with a damaged

power cord or plug. The power cord or plug cannot be repaired and must be replaced with a new one that is free of defects if these

components are damaged.

PRODUCT OPERATION

Preparing for operation

Caution! The procedure described in this section must be carried out with the device disconnected from the power supply. Make

sure that the power cord has been unplugged from the mains socket.

The product must be unpacked by removing all packaging elements. It is recommended to keep the packaging, as it can be helpful

for further transport and storage of the product. Check the product for damage. If any damage is detected, do not use the product

until the damage has been repaired or the damaged components are replaced with new ones that are free of defects.

Product assembly

CAUTION! Before ﬁrst use, check that the tightness of all screw connections, especially of the screws in the compressor head

and the body, is correct.

A foot, feet (II) or wheels must be screwed into the base of the tank depending on the model. Install the foot or wheel in the hole

in the base with a screw, inserting the screw from below. Use washers and screw on the nut. Screw with a suitable spanner. As-

semble the wheels (II) with screws to the right and left side of the compressor base, use washers on the inside and screw on the

nuts. Screw with a suitable spanner. Ensure that the components are securely fastened.

The product with the catalogue number YT-23320 must be ﬁtted with a handle. Use a spanner to loosen the ﬁxing screws. Place

the handle in the bracket. Tighten the screws with a spanner. Check that the handle does not move during operation.

Installing the air ﬁlter (III)

It is essential to install an air ﬁlter in the products with the catalogue numbers YT-23300 and YT-23305 before ﬁrst use. Remove

the air ﬁlter plug. Screw the air ﬁlter clockwise by hand into the air ﬁlter opening.

Setting the compressor

Place the compressor on a level, ﬂat, and stable surface away from ﬂammable substances in a well-ventilated room protecting the

device from the weather. The compressor should be placed approximately 2.5 metres away from walls and objects.

Checking the oil level/topping up the oil

CAUTION! Remove the blanking plug ﬁtted for transport and screw in the oil plug (IV). Check the oil level on the indicator (V)

before starting work. If necessary, top up the oil so that the level is in the centre of the sight glass. If the oil level is too low (below

the bottom of the sight glass), there is a risk of the pump seizing. An oil level that is too high (top of the sight glass) or the use of

the wrong type of oil poses the risk of oil entering the pneumatic system with the air.

Use an air compressor oil with a viscosity of SAE 15W40 for the compressor.

Change the factory oil after 10 hours of the compressor operation. The procedure for changing oil is described further in this

instructions manual.

Connecting the compressor to the power supply

Ensure that the compressor power switch is in the oﬀposition (press the power switch down). Plug the compressor into a mains

socket.

Compressor operation

Connect the hoses with the connected pneumatic tools that will be used for the work to the quick connectors. Ensure that the

power switch of the devices is in the oﬀposition.

Turning the compressor on/oﬀ(VI)

To turn on the compressor, set the power switch to the on position (pull the power switch up). The compressor will start by ﬁlling

the tank to the factory set pressure shown in the technical data table. During operation, the amount of air consumed depends

on the type of tools used. The device operates in automatic mode, maintaining the factory set tank pressure level. To turn oﬀthe

compressor, set the power switch to the oﬀposition (press the power switch down).

Adjusting the operating pressure

Do not exceed the maximum pressure speciﬁed in the speciﬁcations of the connected tools and hoses. The permissible value

should be checked in the tool manufacturer’s technical speciﬁcations.

Use the pressure regulator (VII) to set the appropriate output pressure. The compressor is equipped with two pressure gauges.

The value of the set output pressure can be read on the pressure gauge located under the regulator. The tank pressure can be

read on the pressure gauge located under the compressor power switch (VI).

Overload protection (VIII)

Products with the catalogue numbers YT-23310 and YT-23320 have an electric motor overload protection system. The overload

protection activates at high motor temperatures. In the event of a safety device tripping, the device will turn oﬀautomatically.

Allow the device to cool down. To turn the device back on, turn oﬀthe compressor by pressing the power switch down. Press the

overload switch. Turn on the compressor by pulling the power switch up.

MAINTENANCE

CAUTION! Allow the device to cool down completely before carrying out maintenance activities. Turn oﬀthe compressor using the

power switch and then disconnect the power cord plug from the mains socket.

Remove air and condensate from the tank as described further in the instructions manual – “Draining condensate from the tank”.

This should be done thoroughly and after each use of the compressor. Otherwise, the water can lead to rusting of the tank, which

will damage it. Precipitation of water from the air is a natural phenomenon associated with temperature changes. Therefore, emp-

tying the tank of air should not be neglected. The compressor tank is not weldable or repairable. If the tank is found to be damaged,

contact the manufacturer’s authorised service centre; do not turn on a damaged compressor.

Clean the device housing with a cloth slightly dampened with water and dry it. Clean the surroundings of the air inlet and outlet with

a compressed air jet with a pressure of no more than 0.3 MPa. Ventilation openings can also be cleaned with a paint brush or a

brush with soft plastic bristles. Do not use alcohol, solvents, acids or corrosive agents for cleaning. After cleaning and performing

the necessary maintenance and service activities, the compressor is ready for further operation or storage. All other maintenance

and service works not described in the instructions manual must be carried out at the manufacturer’s authorised service centre.

If the compressor malfunction or worn parts, which reduce the quality of the device’s operation, are observed, do not carry out

repairs yourself or turn on the damaged compressor. For repair, contact the manufacturer’s authorised service centre.

DAY-TO-DAY SERVICE ACTIVITIES

CAUTION! Allow the device to cool down completely before carrying out service activities. Turn oﬀthe compressor using the

power switch and then disconnect the power cord plug from the mains socket.

After the ﬁrst 50 hours, check that the tightness of all screw connections, especially of the screws in the compressor head and

the body, is correct.

Draining condensate from the tank (IX)

After ﬁnishing work, it is recommended to drain the pressure tank of oil condensate, water, and particles through the valve on a

daily basis. Before starting the draining process, turn oﬀthe compressor and unplug the power cord from the socket. Depressurise

the tank, e.g. using a blow gun. Point the blow gun to a safe place (away from people and animals) and pull the trigger until the

tank is empty. Then place a ﬂat vessel under the drain plug. Unscrew the condensate drain plug in a counterclockwise direction on

the bottom part of the tank. After draining the condensate from the tank, carefully screw on the drain plug. Do not dispose of the

condensate into the soil, river, lake, or sewage system. Dispose of the condensate at an environmentally hazardous substance

collection point.

Changing the oil

Oil in products with the catalogue numbers YT-23300 and YT-23305 should be changed after every 50 hours of the compressor

operation or when you notice in the oil indicator sight glass that the oil is spent (black). Use an air compressor oil with a viscosity

of SAE 15W40 for the compressor.

Oil in products with the catalogue numbers YT-23310 and YT-23320 should be changed once a year or when you notice in the

oil indicator sight glass that the oil is spent (black). Use an air compressor oil with a viscosity of SAE 15W40 for the compressor.

To change the oil, turn oﬀthe compressor and unplug the power cord plug from the socket. Prepare and place a suitable vessel

under the oil drain plug (V) so that when the tank is emptied, oil does not spill on the compressor components and the ﬂoor. Use

a spanner to unscrew the oil drain plug. If the oil does not drain completely, you can slightly tilt the compressor. Once the oil tank

has been emptied, the oil drain plug must be screwed. Pour in new oil so that the level is in the centre of the sight glass. It is for-

bidden to mix diﬀerent types of oil. If the oil level is too low (below the bottom of the sight glass), there is a risk of the pump seizing.

An oil level that is too high (top of the sight glass) or the use of the wrong type of oil poses the risk of oil entering the pneumatic

system with the air. Do not dispose of the oil into the soil, river, lake, or sewage system. Dispose of the used oil at an environmen-

tally hazardous waste collection point.

Safety valve (X)

The safety valve has been set at the factory to the maximum allowable pressure in the compressor tank. It is forbidden to perform

self-adjustment of the safety valve. If the safety valve is not working properly, contact the manufacturer’s authorised service cen-

tre. Approximately every 30 operating hours or at least 3 times a year, make sure the valve is working properly. Turn oﬀthe com-

pressor and unplug the power cord plug from the socket. Unscrew the perforated outlet cap of the safety valve counterclockwise.

Carefully pull the cap outwards with your hand. If the valve lets air out, it means that it is working properly. Tighten the perforated

cap by screwing it clockwise. Ensure that the cap is screwed on correctly.

Adjusting the drive belt tension

The products with the catalogue numbers YT-23310 and YT-23320 have a drive belt. Check the belt tension every 100 hours of

the compressor operation and when a drop in compressor performance is noticed. It is forbidden to use the compressor with a

loose or over-tightened drive belt, as this can damage the compressor drive components.

CAUTION! Turn oﬀthe compressor and unplug the power cord plug from the socket before starting the belt tensioning

process.

Using an adjustable spanner, release the clips (XI) of the cover by carefully turning them 90 degrees to the right or left until the

clip is loosened. Release all cover clips. Remove the front part of the drive cover. Press the upper part of the drive belt (XII) with

a ﬁnger at a point between the drive wheels using a pressing force of approx. 3 kg. The correct deﬂection of the belt at the control

point should be between 10 mm – 15 mm. If the drive belt tension is correct, you can proceed to the installation stage of the front

drive cover in reverse order to that described in the section describing the cover dismantling. If the belt tension needs to be adjust-

ed, use a hex wrench to loosen the mounting of the rear part of the drive cover to the compressor motor. Then, using spanners,

loosen the motor mounting until the motor can be moved freely in relation to the compressor. Adjustment is made by moving the

motor relative to the compressor. Set the correct belt tension by moving the motor to the right or left relative to the compressor. Bolt

all motor mountings and the rear cover mounting to the compressor motor. Ensure that all connections are securely screwed and

will not move during the compressor operation. You can proceed with the assembly of the front drive cover in reverse order to that

described in the section describing the cover dismantling. Check that the drive cover is correctly ﬁtted and that all cover clips are

correctly locked. If it is found that there is a need to replace the drive belt, contact the manufacturer’s authorised service centre.

Cleaning the air ﬁlter

The air ﬁlter prevents dust and dirt from being drawn into the compressor. The air ﬁlter becomes dirty, depending on the condi-

tions and operation time of the compressor. Check the soiling status of the ﬁlter once a month and, if it needs cleaning, clean or

replace the ﬁlter at least every 50 hours of the compressor operation. A clogged inlet ﬁlter can severely limit the compressor’s

performance and damage the device. It is forbidden to use the compressor without a correctly ﬁtted air ﬁlter. Contaminants that

enter the compressor with the air can damage it.

In the devices with the catalogue numbers YT-23300 and YT-23305, unscrew the ﬁlter by hand counterclockwise, remove the

ﬁxing screw from the air ﬁlter housing (XIII), open the housing, and pull the ﬁlter out of the housing. Clean the ﬁlter in a soapy water

solution, rinse in water, and dry thoroughly. Place the ﬁlter in the housing, assemble the two parts of the housing, and screw in the

ﬁxing screw. Screw the air ﬁlter clockwise by hand into the air ﬁlter opening. Ensure that the air ﬁlter is ﬁtted correctly.

In the devices with the catalogue numbers YT-23310 and YT-23320, remove the air ﬁlter from the compressor body using a span-

ner by unscrewing the ﬁxing screws (XIV). Open the housing and pull the ﬁlter out of the housing. Clean the ﬁlter in a soapy water

solution, rinse in water, and dry thoroughly. Place the ﬁlter in the housing, assemble the two parts of the housing, and fasten the

air ﬁlter to the compressor body with screws. Ensure that the air ﬁlter is ﬁtted correctly.

STORAGE AND TRANSPORT

Transport the device by grasping it by the handle or the base. In the case of transporting it by the means of transport, the com-

pressor must be secured against movement. Only transport and store the device when turned oﬀ, disconnected from the power

supply, and with the air tank empty. Store the device in closed well-ventilated rooms. During storage and transport, the device

should not be exposed to direct sunlight, heat sources and precipitation. The storage place should protect the device from access

by unauthorised persons, especially children. Do not place anything on the device.
