reference.
1. Safety
Read the following safety information carefully before attempting to operate the meter. Use the
meter only as specified in this manual; otherwise, the warranty may be invalidated.
• Environm nt Conditions:
• Altitude up to 2000 metres
• RH<90% (Non-condensation)
• Operating temperature: -20 ~ 60°C
• Maint nanc :
• Repairs or servicing should only be performed by York Survey Supply Centre.
• Wipe the unit with a dry soft cloth. Do not use abrasives or solvents on this instrument.

2. Introduction
This sound level meter is designed to meet the measurement requirements of safety engineers,
health, industrial safety offices and sound quality control in various environments like factories,
schools, construction sites, etc.

6. Basic Operation
a) Open the battery cover and install a 9 volt battery in the battery compartment.
b) Close the battery compartment
c) When the low battery icon appears, replace the battery.
7. Operation Instructions
1) Backlight & Pow r On/Off Function
Pow r On: To turn the meter on, press the power button for 1 second until the LCD is lit, then
release the button.
Pow r Off: To turn the meter off, press and hold the power button for approx. 3 seconds until the
LCD switches off, then release the button.
Backlight: After turning the meter on, momentarily press the power button and the backlight will
turn on/off. It will automatically turn off after approx. 30 seconds of inactivity.
2) Data Hold & Max/Min Function
Hold: After turning the meter on , momentarily press the Max/Min button, “HOLD” will appear on
