1. Introduction
● This product is designed for standard air conditioning only.
Donotusethisproductforotherpurposes.
● Donotinstalltheunitinthefollowingplaces.Itmaycauseare,damage,corrosionorfailure.
*Placeswhereare,oil,steamorpowdermaydirectlyentertheunitsuchasrightaboveakitchen.
*Placeswhereoil(includingmachineryoil)maybepresent.
*Placeswheresuldegasesarepresent,suchashotsprings.
*Placeswhereinammablegasmaybegeneratedorow.
*Regionswheredense,salt-ladenairowisheavy,suchascoastalregions.
*Regionswheretheairqualityisofhighacidityoralkalinity.
*Areaswhereharmfulgasesaregeneratedfromdecomposition.
● Payattentiontothefollowingpointswheninstallingtheunitinahospitalorotherfacilitywherenearby
electromagneticwavesaregeneratedfrommedicaldevices.
*Donotinstalltheunitinaplacewhereelectromagneticwavescandirectlyradiateintotheelectricalbox,
remotecontrolswitchcableorremotecontrolswitch.
*Installtheunitatleast10ft(3m)awayfromdevicesgeneratingelectromagneticwaves,suchasaradio.
● Donotinstalltheunitinalocationwhereanimalsandplantscancomeintodirectcontactwiththeoutletair
stream.Itcouldadverselyaffectanimalsandplants.
● Donotinstallthemotionsensorkitinthefollowingplaces.Itmaycausemisdetection,undetectablemotion
or the deterioration of the sensor.
*Placeswhereambienttemperaturechangeisdrastic.
*Placeswhereexcessiveforceorvibrationisappliedtothesensor.
*Placeswherestaticelectricityorelectromagneticwavesmaygenerate.
*Placeswherethereisinterferenceforinfraredlightsuchasmistinadetectingarea.
*Placeswherethelensforthesensorisexposedtohightemperatureandhumidityforalongperiodof
time.
*Placeswhereuidandcorrosivegasesexist.
*Placeswheredirectlightsuchassunlightorheadlightsaffectthesensor.
*Placeswherehotair,forexamplefromaheater,directlyaffectsthesensor.
*Placeswheretheairowreturnstothesensorbybouncingoffobjects.
*Placeswhereblowerdevicessuchasceilingfansorventilatingfansaffecttheairowfromtheindoor
unit.
*Placeswhereweatheraffectsthesurfaceofthesensor.
*Placeswherethelenssurfacemaysmudgeorbedamagedbydust.
Beawarethatthedetectingfunctionwillbedecreasedifthelenshassmudges.
Ifthishappens,wipeoffsmudgesusingacottonswabsoakedinalcohol(isopropylalcoholis
recommended.)orasoftcloth.(Whenwipingoffsmudgesonthesensorlens,donotapplyexcessive
force.Ifexcessiveforceisapplied,theresinlensmaybedamagedleadingtomalfunctionssuchas
misdetection or undetectable motions.)

Electrical Work
● Correctlyperformtheinstallationworkreferredtointhismanual.
Iftheinstallationisnotcompletedcorrectly,theremaybeaninjuryasaresultofthemotionsensorkit
falling.
● Donotinstallthemotionsensorkitwhereammablegasesmaygenerateorenter.
● TurnOFFthepowersupplycompletelybeforeperformingtheinstallationandelectricalwiringworkfor
themotionsensorkit.Notdoingsomaycauseanelectricshock.
● Correctlyperformtheelectricalwiringwork.
Iftheelectricalworkisnotcompletedcorrectly,heatgenerationattheconnection,areoranelectric
shockmayoccur.
● Makesurethattheelectricalwiresaresecuredsothatanexternalforceisnotappliedtotheterminal
connections.Failuretoproperlysecureelectricalwiringcouldresultinexcessiveheatorre.
● TurnOFFthepowersupplycompletelybeforeperformingtheinstallationandelectricalwiringworkfor
themotionsensorkit.Notdoingsomaycauseanelectricshock.

● Donotruntheconnectingcableforthemotionsensorkitandthepowersupplywiringinparallel.Itmay
causeamalfunctionofthemotionsensorkitfromelectromagneticinterference(EMI).
● Installthemotionsensorkitafterceilingwork.
● Whenthemotionsensorkitisinstalledaftertheindoorunit’sinstallation,besuretoturnoffthepower
supply completely before starting installation.
● Donotinstallthemotionsensorkitintheairoutletpathoftheindoorunit.Itmaycausemisdetection
duetotheinuenceofairow.
● Installtheindoorunitinpositionthatdischargeairdonotenterthedetectionarea.

(2) Preparethehole(φ13/16inch(20mm))ontheceilingforwiring.

Opentheelectricalboxcoverattheindoorunit.ConnecttheconnectingcabletoCN10ofPCBinthe
electricalbox.
Connectthegroundwiringtothegroundscrewinsidetheelectricalboxasshowninthefollowing
gure.

(4) Afterconnectingtheconnectingcable,routeitouttoinsidethefalse
ceiling or outside of the unit.
Next,routethecabletotheinstalledlocationofthemotionsensorkit.
Afterrunningtheconnectingcable,clamptheextralengthofthe
connectingcablewiththeincludedcableclampandstoreitinsidethe
ceiling.
(5) Pullouttheconnectingcable1-15/16inch
(50mm)fromthewiringhole.
(6) Detachthecoverofmotionsensorkit.
(7) Connectthewiringformotionsensorkittotherelayconnectorasshowninthefollowinggures.
Afterconnectingthecable,covertheconnectiontotherelayconnector.Attachthewiringcoverwith
the cable clamps.
(8) Installthemotionsensorkittoceilingusing
screwswhilepushingthecableintothehole.
(9) Attachthecoverofmotionsensorkitasthe
followinggure.
