Veiligheidsinformatie
Lees voor uw eigen veiligheid en correcte werking
van het apparaat eerst deze handleiding aandachtig
door, alvorens het apparaat te installeren. Bewaar deze in-
structies altijd bij het apparaat, zelfs wanneer u deze ver-
plaatst of verkoopt. Gebruikers moeten volledig op de
hoogte zijn van de bediening en veiligheidsfuncties van
het apparaat.
Algemene veiligheid
Waarschuwing! Mensen (met inbegrip van kinderen)
met beperkte lichamelijke, zintuiglijke of
verstandelijke vermogens of gebrek aan ervaring en
kennis mogen dit apparaat niet gebruiken. Zij moeten
onder toezicht staan of instructies krijgen over het gebruik
van dit apparaat van iemand die verantwoordelijk is voor
hun veiligheid.
Het apparaat is niet bedoeld om bediend te worden
door middel van een externe timer of een apart af-
standsbedieningsysteem.
Kinderbeveiliging
• Dit apparaat mag alleen worden gebruikt door volwas-
senen. Kinderen moeten onder toezicht staan om er-
voor te zorgen dat ze niet met het apparaat spelen.
• Houd alle verpakkingsmaterialen uit de buurt van kin-
deren. Gevaar voor verstikking of lichamelijk letsel.
• Houd kinderen tijdens en na het gebruik uit de buurt
van het apparaat, totdat het apparaat afgekoeld is.
Veiligheid tijdens het gebruik
• Verwijder al het verpakkingsmateriaal, stickers en folie
van het apparaat, voordat u het in gebruik neemt.
• Schakel de kookzones na ieder gebruik uit.
• Gevaar voor brandwonden! Leg geen metalen voorwer-
pen, zoals bestek of deksels op de kookplaat; deze kun-
nen zeer heet worden.
• Gebruikers met geïmplanteerde pacemakers moeten
hun bovenlichaam op een afstand van ten minste 30
cm van ingeschakelde inductiekookzones houden.
Waarschuwing! Brandgevaar! Oververhitte vetten en
oliën kunnen snel in brand vliegen.
Gebruik conform de voorschriften
• Laat het apparaat tijdens het gebruik niet onbeheerd
achter.
• Controleer het apparaat altijd tijdens gebruik.
• Laat vloeistoffen niet overstromen in de gaten aan de
bovenkant van de kookplaat
• Gebruik de kookplaat nooit zonder pannen.
• Dit apparaat is uitsluitend bedoeld voor huishoudelijk
gebruik! Gebruik het apparaat niet voor commerciële of
industriële doeleinden, of voor enig ander doel. Zo ver-
mijd u risico's voor personen of eigendommen.
• Gebruik alleen kookgerei met een bodemdiameter die
geschikt is voor de afmeting van de kookzones. Er be-
staat een risico op oververhitting en breken van de gla-
zen plaat (indien toepasselijk).
• Gebruik geen pan met een diameter kleiner dan de af-
meting van de kookzone - de handgreep van pan kan
heet worden.
• Zet geen pannen te dicht bij het bedieningspaneel.
• Het apparaat mag niet worden gebruikt als werkblad of
aanrecht.
• Gebruik geen instabiel kookgerei om te voorkomen dat
het kantelt en er ongelukken gebeuren.
• Plaats geen ontvlambare producten (of items die voch-
tig zijn door ontvlambare producten), en/of onstekings-
producten (gemaakt van plastic of aluminium) in, bij of
op het apparaat. Er kan brand of een explosie ontstaan.
• Gebruik alleen de accessoires die zijn meegeleverd met
het apparaat.

• Pas op als u het apparaat aansluit in de buurt van een
stopcontact. Voorkom contact tussen elektrische ver-
bindingen en het apparaat of heet kookgerei. Voorkom
dat elektrische verbindingen verstrikt raken.
Waarschuwing! Als er een scheur in het oppervlak
zit, haalt u de stekker uit het stopcontact om
elektrische schokken te voorkomen.
Voorkoming van beschadiging van het apparaat
• Het glaskeramische oppervlak kan beschadigd raken
als er voorwerpen op vallen.
• Kookgerei dat gemaakt is van gietijzer, aluminium of
met beschadigde bodems, kunnen krassen veroorzaken
op de glaskeramische plaat als deze over het oppervlak
worden geschoven.
• Laat kookgerei niet droogkoken, om schade aan het
kookgerei en het glaskeramische oppervlak te voorko-
men.
• Gebruik de kookzones niet met lege pannen of zonder
pannen erop.
• Leg nooit aluminiumfolie over welk deel van het appa-
raat ook.
•Laat een ventilatieruimte van 5 mm open tussen het
werkblad en de voorzijde van het apparaat eronder.
Verwijdering van het apparaat.
• Om lichamelijk letsel of schade te voorkomen
– Trek de stekker uit het stopcontact.
– Snijd het netsnoer door bij de aansluiting met het
apparaat en gooi het weg.
– Vraag bij uw gemeente na hoe u dit apparaat kunt
weggooien.

Montage
Waarschuwing! Lees deze voorschriften zorgvuldig
door!
• Controleer of het apparaat niet beschadigd is tijdens
het transport. Sluit geen beschadigd apparaat aan.
Neem indien nodig contact op met de leverancier.
•De installatie van het apparaat en de aansluiting op het
elektriciteitsnet mogen uitsluitend worden uitgevoerd
door erkende vakmensen.
• Inbouwapparaten mogen alleen worden gebruikt nadat
zij ingebouwd zijn in geschikte inbouwunits of werk-
bladen die aan de normen voldoen.
• Wijzig de specificaties van het product of het product
zelf niet. Gevaar voor letsel en schade aan het apparaat.
• De wetten, voorschriften, richtlijnen en normen die van
kracht zijn in het land waar het apparaat wordt gebruikt,
dienen in acht genomen te worden (veiligheidsvoor-
schriften, correcte recycling overeenkomstig de voor-
schriften, veiligheidsvoorschriften met betrekking tot
elektrische installaties, enz.)!
• Houd de minimumafstanden naar andere apparaten en
units in acht!
• Tijdens de installatie moet een antistootbescherming
zijn aangebracht, bijv. lades mogen alleen worden aan-
gebracht als er onder het apparaat een beschermende
vloer aanwezig is!
• De uitgezaagde oppervlakken van het werkblad moeten
beschermd worden tegen vocht met een geschikte af-
dichting!
• Het juiste afdichtmiddel moet worden gebruikt om de
opening tussen het apparaat en het werkblad af te dich-
ten!
• Bescherm de onderkant van het apparaat tegen stoom
en vocht, bijv. van een afwasmachine of oven!
• Installeer het apparaat niet naast deuren of onder ra-
men! Anders kan het hete kookgerei van de kookplaat
worden gestoten, als de deuren of ramen worden geo-
pend.
•Trek eerst de stekker van het apparaat uit het stopcon-
tact voordat u reinigings- of onderhoudswerkzaamhe-
den aan het apparaat gaat uitvoeren.
Waarschuwing! Risico van verwonding door
elektrische stroom. Volg de instructies voor de
elektrische aansluitingen nauwkeurig op.
• De netaansluiting staat onder stroom.
• Schakel de stroomtoevoer naar de netaansluiting uit.
• Op de juiste wijze installeren om elektrische schokken
te voorkomen.

• Loszittende en onvakkundig aangebrachte stekkerver-
bindingen kunnen oververhitting van de aansluiting
veroorzaken.
• Laat de klemaansluitingen correct installeren door een
gekwalificeerde elektricien.
• Zorg ervoor dat het snoer niet wordt belast door trek-
ken.
• Gebruik de juiste voedingskabel en vervang de bescha-
digde voedingskabel door een speciale kabel. Neem
contact op met onze serviceafdeling.
• Het apparaat moet met een poolschakelaar op een elek-
trisch circuit zijn aangesloten, met een contactopening
van minstens 3 mm, zodat het apparaat te allen tijde
uitgeschakeld kan worden.
• Als de bevestigingssteun zich in de buurt van het aan-
sluitblok bevindt, controleer dan altijd of de aansluitka-
bel niet in aanraking komt met de rand van de steun.
• U dient te beschikken over de juiste isolatievoorzienin-
gen: stroomonderbrekers, zekeringen (schroefzekerin-
gen moeten uit de houder worden verwijderd), aardlek-
strips en contacten.
De fabrikant is niet verantwoordelijk voor letsel aan perso-
nen of huisdieren of schade aan eigendom veroorzaakt
door het niet opvolgen van de volgende vereisten.
Elektrische aansluiting
• Het apparaat moet geaard worden volgens de veilig-
heidsvoorschriften.
• Zorg ervoor dat het nominale voltage en het type ver-
mogen op het typeplaatje overeenkomen met het volta-
ge en het vermogen van de stroomvoorziening in uw
woning.
• Alle elektrische onderdelen moeten worden geïnstal-
leerd of worden vervangen door een technicus van de
klantenservice of door gekwalificeerd onderhoudsper-
soneel.
• Gebruik altijd een correct geïnstalleerd schokvrij stop-
contact.
• Zorg ervoor dat de hoofdstekker na installatie toegan-
kelijk is.
• Trek niet aan het snoer om het apparaat los te koppelen
van de netvoeding. Trek altijd aan de stekker.
• Het apparaat moet niet worden aangesloten op een ver-
lengsnoer, een adapter of een meervoudige aansluiting
(brandgevaar). Controleer of de aarding conform de
normen en regelgeving is.
• Sluit het apparaat op de netvoeding aan met behulp
van een voorziening waarmee het apparaat kan worden
losgekoppeld van de alle polen van de netvoeding, met
een contactopening van minimaal 3 mm breed, b.v. een
automatische beschermende stroomonderbreker, aard-
lekschakelaars of een zekering.
• Geen enkel deel van de aansluitkabel mag een tempe-
ratuur van 90°C bereiken. De blauwe neutrale draad
moet worden aangesloten op de eindklem gemarkeerd
met "N". De bruine (of zwarte) fasedraad (gemonteerd
in het contact van de eindklem gemarkeerd met "L")
moet altijd worden aangesloten op de fase van het voe-
dingsnet.
Vervanging van het aansluitsnoer
Gebruik om de aansluitkabel te vervangen alleen het type
H05V2V2-F T90 of een gelijksoortig type. Zorg ervoor dat
de doorsnede van het snoer geschikt is voor het voltage
en de bedrijfstemperatuur. De geel/groene aardedraad
moet ongeveer 2 cm langer zijn dan de bruine (of zwarte)
fasedraad.

Mogelijkheden voor inbouw
Keukenmeubel met deur
Het paneel geïnstalleerd onder de kookplaat moet eenvou-
dig te verwijderen zijn en eenvoudig toegang bieden in-
dien technische hulp nodig is.

Keukenmeubel met oven
De afmetingen van de uitsparing voor de kookplaat moe-
ten overeenkomen met de voorgeschreven inbouwmaten
en het keukenmeubel moet voorzien zijn van ventilatiega-
ten om een continue luchttoevoer te kunnen garanderen.
Om veiligheidsredenen en om een gemakkelijke verwijde-
ring van de oven uit het meubel mogelijk te maken, moe-
ten de elektrische aansluitingen van de kookplaat en de
oven afzonderlijk geïnstalleerd worden.

Bediening
Om de temperatuur in te schakelen en de instelling te ver-
hogen de knop rechtsom draaien. Om de temperatuurin-
stelling te verlagen de knop linksom draaien. Om de kook-
zone uit te schakelen de knop op 0 draaien.
Het controlelampje gaat branden als een of beide kookzo-
nes wordt ingeschakeld, en blijft branden tot de kookzo-
nes worden uitgeschakeld.
Automatische uitschakeling
Als een van de kookzones ingeschakeld wordt zonder een
geschikte pan op de betreffende zone, wordt de zone na
enkele minuten automatisch uitgeschakeld. Als een van de
kookzones na een bepaalde tijd niet wordt uitgeschakeld
of als de kookstand niet wordt gewijzigd, schakelt de des-
betreffende kookzone automatisch uit Voordat u de kook-
zone weer kunt gebruiken moet u de bedieningsknop eerst
op de uitstand zetten.

Nuttige aanwijzingen en tips
Kookgerei voor inductiekookzones
Bij inductiekoken wekt een krachtig elektromagne-
tisch veld een vrijwel onmiddellijke warmte in het
kookgerei op.
Kookmaterialen
•geschikt: gietijzer, staal, geëmailleerd staal, roestvrij
staal, een meerlaags bodem (door de fabrikant speci-
fiek gekenmerkt als geschikt).
•niet geschikt: aluminium, koper, messing, glas, kera-
miek, porselein.

Kookgerei is geschikt voor een inductiekookplaat als …
• ... een beetje water op de hoogste kookstand binnen
korte tijd wordt verwarmd.
• ... een magneet vast blijft zitten aan de bodem van het
kookgerei.
De bodem van het kookgerei moet zo dik en vlak
mogelijk zijn.
Afmetingen van de pannen: Inductiekookzones passen
zich tot op zekere hoogte automatisch aan de grootte van
de bodem van de pan aan. Maar de minimale diameter van
het magnetische deel van de onderkant van de pan moet
overeenkomen met de diameter van de kookzone:

• Doe indien mogelijk altijd een deksel op de pan.
• Zet de pan op de kookzone voordat u deze in-

Geluiden tijdens de werking
Als u een van de volgende geluiden hoort
• krakend geluid: kookgerei is vervaardigd uit verschil-
lende materialen (sandwichconstructie).
• fluiten: u gebruikt een of meer kookzones op hoog ver-
mogen, en het kookgerei is gemaakt van verschillende
materialen (sandwichconstructie).
• zoemen: u kookt op hoog vermogen.
• tikken: er vinden elektrische schakelprocessen plaats.
• sissen, zoemen: de ventilator is aan.
De geluiden zijn normaal en geven geen defecten aan.
Informatie over acrylamides
Belangrijk! Volgens recente wetenschappelijke informatie
kan het intensief bruinen van levensmiddelen (met name
in producten die zetmeel bevatten), een gezondheidsrisico
vormen tengevolge van acrylamides. Om die reden
adviseren wij levensmiddelen zoveel mogelijk bij lage
temperaturen gaar te laten worden en de gerechten niet te
veel te bruinen.
Onderhoud en reiniging
Reinig het apparaat na elk gebruik.
Gebruik altijd kookgerei met een schone bodem.
Waarschuwing! Trek voordat u de kookplaat gaat
schoonmaken altijd eerst de stekker uit het
stopcontact en laat de kookplaat afkoelen
De kookplaat kan het beste worden schoongemaakt
als hij nog warm is; etensresten kunnen gemakkelij-
ker verwijderd worden als ze nog warm zijn
Waarschuwing! Scherpe voorwerpen en schurende
reinigingsmiddelen beschadigen het apparaat.
Het reinigen van het apparaat met een stoomstraal- of
hogedrukreiniger is om veiligheidsredenen verboden.
Krassen of donkere vlekken hebben geen invloed op
de werking van het apparaat.
Verwijderen van vuil:
1. Gebruik het fijn schuurmiddel of een schuurspons
om het vuil te verwijderen.
2. Reinig het apparaat met een vochtige doek en een
beetje afwasmiddel.
3. Verwarm de kookplaat op een lage temperatuur en
laat deze opdrogen.
4. Om de kookplaten te onderhouden, wrijf de kookzo-
nes met een beetje olijfolie op een keukenpapiertje in
om roest te voorkomen
Belangrijk! Gebruik een schoonmaakmiddel voor roestvrij
staal om de roestvrij stalen randen schoon te maken.
De roestvrijstalen rand van de plaat kan iets verkleu-
ren als gevolg van thermische belasting.
Het roestvrij staal kan beschadigen als het te heet wordt.
Daarom moet u ook niet koken met grillstenen, aardewerk
potten of pannen van gietijzer. Gebruik geen aluminium
folie om schade aan het oppervlak te voorkomen.
Problemen oplossen
Storing Mogelijke oorzaak en oplossing
Het apparaat werkt helemaal niet. • Controleer de zekering van de stroomvoorziening in de stoppenkast van
het huis. Neem contact op met een bevoegde elektricien als de zekering
steeds doorbrandt.
De plaat wordt niet warm. • Zorg ervoor dat u het apparaat aansluit en schakel de elektrische voeding
in.
• Zorg ervoor dat u de bedieningsknop goed draait.
• Controleer de zekering van de stroomvoorziening in de stoppenkast van
het huis. Neem contact op met een bevoegde elektricien als de zekering
steeds doorbrandt.

Storing Mogelijke oorzaak en oplossing
Resultaten van de plaat zijn niet be-
vredigend.
• Zorg ervoor dat de plaat schoon en droog is.
• Zorg ervoor dat de pan de juiste maat heeft voor de kookplaat.
• Zorg ervoor dat de pan een vlakke bodem heeft.
• Zorg ervoor dat de instelling correct is voor de soort bereiding.
Er klinkt een geluidssignaal (dubbel
geluidssignaal).
• De pan is niet geschikt. Gebruik geschikt kookgerei.
• Geen kookgerei op de plaat. Plaats kookgerei op de plaat.
• De diameter aan de bodem van het kookgerei is te klein voor de plaat.
• Gebruik een kleinere plaat. Gebruik geschikt kookgerei.
Als er een storing optreedt, probeer dan eerst zelf een op-
lossing voor het probleem te vinden. Als u niet zelf het
probleem kunt verhelpen, neem dan contact op met uw
verkoper of de serviceafdeling.
Als u het apparaat verkeerd heeft gebruikt, of als de
installatie niet is uitgevoerd door een erkende mon-
teur, dan is het bezoek van de klantenservicemonteur of
van uw leverancier mogelijk niet gratis, zelfs niet in de ga-
rantieperiode.

Milieubescherming

Safety information
For your safety and correct operation of the appli-
ance, read this manual carefully before installation
and use. Always keep these instructions with the appli-
ance even if you move or sell it. Users must fully know the
operation and safety features of the appliance.
General safety
Warning! Persons (including children) with reduced
physical sensory, mental capabilities or lack of
experience and knowledge must not use the appliance.
They must have supervision or instruction for the
operation of the appliance by a person responsible for
their safety.
The appliance is not intended to be operated with
external timer or separated remote-control system.
Child safety
• Only adults can use this appliance. Children must get
supervision to make sure that they do not play with the
appliance.
• Keep all packaging away from children. There is a risk
of suffocation and physical injury.
• Keep children away from the appliance during and after
the operation, until the appliance is cold.
Safety during operation
• Remove all packaging, stickers and layers from the ap-
pliance before the first use.
• Set the cooking zones to "off" after each use.
• Risk of burns! Do not put metallic objects, for example
cutlery or saucepan lids, on the cooking surface, as
they can become hot.
• Users with an implanted pacemaker must keep their
upper body minimum 30 cm from induction cooking
zones that are switched on.
Warning! Fire danger! Overheated fats and oils can
catch fire very quickly.
Correct operation
• Do not leave the appliance unattended during opera-
tion.
• Always monitor the appliance during operation.
• Do not let liquids overflow into the holes of the top of
the hob
• Never use the hob without cookware.
• Only use the appliance for domestic cooking tasks! Do
not use it for commercial or industrial purposes or for
any purpose other than that for which it was designed.
This way, you will avoid risks to person or property.
• Use only cookware with a bottom diameter applicable
to the dimensions of the cooking zones. There is a risk
of overheating and rupture of the glass plate (if appli-
cable).
• Do not use cookware with a diameter smaller than the
cooking zone dimension - the pan handle can become
hot because of the heat.
• Pots must not be too near to the control zone.
• Do not use the appliance as a work or a storage sur-
face.
• Never use unstable cookware to prevent from tilting
and accidents.
• Do not put or keep flammable liquids (or items that are
wet with flammable products) and materials or fusible
objects (made of plastic or aluminium) on or near the
appliance. There is a risk of explosion or fire.
• Use only the accessories supplied with the appliance.
• Be careful when you connect the appliance to the near
sockets. Do not let electricity bonds touch the appli-
ance or hot cookware. Do not let electricity bonds tan-
gle.

Warning! If there is a crack on the surface,
disconnect power supply to prevent the electric
shock.
How to prevent a damage to the appliance
• If the objects or cookware fall on the glass ceramic, the
surface can be damaged.
• Cookware made of cast iron, cast aluminium or with
damaged bottoms can scratch the glass ceramic if you
move them on the surface.
• Do not let cookware boil dry to prevent the damage to
cookware and glass ceramics.
• Do not use the cooking zones with empty cookware or
without cookware.
• Do not cover the parts of the appliance with aluminium
foil.
•Leave a ventilation space of 5 mm between the worktop
and front of the unit below it.
Disposal of the appliance
• To prevent the risk of physical injury or damage
– Disconnect the appliance from the power supply.
– Cut off the mains cable where it connects with the
appliance and discard it.
– Speak to your local authorised facilities for disposal
of your appliance.
Installation
Installation
Warning! You must read these!
• Make sure that the appliance is not damaged because
of transportation. Do not connect a damaged appliance.
If it is necessary, speak to the supplier.
•Installation and connection of the appliance to the
power supply must only be carried out by qualified
personnel.
• Only use built-in appliances after you assemble the ap-
pliance into correct built-in units and work surfaces
that obey the standards.
• Do not change the specifications or modify this prod-
uct. Risk of injury and damage to the appliance.
• Fully obey the laws, ordinances, directives and stand-
ards in force in the country where you use the appli-
ance (safety regulations, recycling regulations, electri-
cal safety rules etc.)!
• Keep the minimum distances to other appliances and
units!
• Install anti-shock protection, for example install the
drawers only with a protective panel directly below the
appliance!
• Prevent damage of the cut surfaces of the worktop
against moisture with a correct sealant!
• Seal the appliance to the worktop with no space left
with a correct sealant!
• Prevent damage of the bottom of the appliance from
steam and moisture, e.g. from a dishwasher or oven!
• Do not install the appliance adjacent to doors and be-
low windows! If not, hot cookware can be hit off the
hob when you open doors or windows.
•Disconnect the appliance from the electrical supply,
before you do maintenance work or clean.
Warning! Risk of injury from electrical current.
Carefully obey the instructions for electrical
connections.
• The electrical mains terminal is live.
• Make electrical mains terminal free of voltage.
• Install correctly to give anti-shock protection.
• Loose and incorrect mains plug and socket connec-
tions can make the terminal become too hot.
• A qualified electrician must install the clamping con-
nections correctly.
• Use a strain relief clamp on cable.
• Use the correct mains connection cable and replace the
damaged mains cable with proper special cable. Speak
your local Service Force Centre.
• The appliance must have the electrical installation
which lets you disconnect the appliance from the
mains at all poles with a contact opening width of min-
imum 3 millimetres.
• If the fixing bracket is near to the terminal block, al-
ways make sure the connection cable does not come in
contact with the edge of the bracket.
• You must have correct isolation devices: line protect-
ing cut-outs, fuses (screw type fuses removed from the
holder), ground leakage trips and contactors.

Manufacturer is not responsible for any injury to persons
and pets or damage to property caused by failure to obey
these requirements.
Electrical connection
• Ground the appliance according to safety precautions.
• Make sure that the rated voltage and type of power on
the rating plate agree with the voltage and the power of
the local power supply.
• Any electrical component must be installed or replaced
by the Service Force Centre technician or qualified
service personnel.
• Always use a correctly installed shockproof socket.
• Make sure that there is an access to the mains plug af-
ter installation.
• Do not pull the mains cable to disconnect the appli-
ance. Always pull the mains plug.
• The appliance must not be connected with an extension
cable, an adapter or a multiple connection (risk of fire).
Check that the ground connection is in conformity with
the standard and regulations force.
• Connect the appliance to the mains with a device that
lets to disconnect the appliance from the mains at all
poles with a contact opening width of minimum 3 mm,
eg. automatic line protecting cut-out, earth leakage
trips or fuse.
• None of a parts of the connection cable can not get a
temperature 90°C. The blue neutral cable must be con-
nected to the terminal block label with "N". The brown
(or black) phase cable (fitted in the terminal block con-
tact marked with "L") must always be connected to the
live phase.
Replacement of the connection cable
To replace the connection cable use only H05V2V2-F T90
or equivalent type. Make sure that the cable section is ap-
plicable to the voltage and the working temperature. The
yellow/green earth wire must be approximately 2 cm lon-
ger than the brown (or black) phase wire.

bracket and supplementary seals is available at our Serv-

The panel installed below the hob must be easy to remove
and let an easy access in case a technical assistance inter-
vention is necessary.

Kitchen unit with oven
The hob recess dimensions must obey the indication and
the kitchen unit must be equipped with vents to let a con-
tinuous supply of air. The electrical connection of the hob
and the oven must be installed separately for safety rea-
sons and to let easy remove oven from the unit.

Operation
To switch on and increase the heat setting turn the knob
clockwise. To decrease the heat setting turn the knob
counter-clockwise. To switch off turn the knob to the 0.
Power indicator is activated when either of the zones are
turned on, and will stay on until the cooking zones are
switched off.
Automatic switch off
If one of the cooking zones is switched on without an ap-
propriate pan on the correspondent area the cooking sur-
face automatically switches itself off after a couple of mi-
nutes. If one of the cooking zones is not switched off after
a certain time, or if the heat setting is not modified, the
relevant cooking zone switches off automatically. Before
being used again, the control knob must be set to the off
position.

Helpful hints and tips
Cookware for induction cooking zones
In induction cooking a powerful electromagnetic
field generates an almost instant heat inside the
cookware.
Cookware material
•correct: cast iron, steel, enamelled steel, stainless
steel, a multi-layer bottom (marked as correct by a
manufacturer).
•not correct: aluminium, copper, brass, glass, ceramic,
porcelain.
Cookware is correct for an induction hob if …
• ... some water boils very quickly on a zone set to the
highest heat setting
• ... a magnet pulls on to the bottom of the cookware.
The bottom of the cookware must be as thick and
flat as possible.
Cookware dimensions: induction cooking zones adapt to
the dimension of the bottom of the cookware automatically
to some limit. But the minimum diameter of the magnetic
part of the bottom of the cookware is in relation to the di-
ameter of the cooking zone:

Operating noises
If you can hear
• cracking noise: cookware is made of different materials
(Sandwich construction).
• whistling: you use one or more cooking zones with
high power levels and the cookware is made of differ-
ent materials (Sandwich construction).
• humming: you use high power levels.
• clicking: electric switching occurs.
• hissing, buzzing: the fan operates.
The noises are normal and do not refer to any defects.
Information on acrylamides
Important! According to the newest scientific knowledge, if
you brown food (specially the one which contains starch),
acrylamides can pose a health risk. Thus, we recommend
that you cook at the lowest temperatures and do not brown
food too much.
Care and cleaning
Clean the appliance after each use.
Always use cookware with clean bottom.
Warning! Before any maintenance or cleaning can
be carried out, you must disconnect the hob from
the electricity supply.
The hob is best cleaned while it is still warm, as
spillage can be removed more easily than if it is left
to cool.
Warning! Sharp objects and abrasive cleaning
agents will damage the appliance.
For your safety, do not clean the appliance with steam
blasters or high-pressure cleaners.
Scratches or dark stains have no effect on how the
appliance operates.
Removing the dirt:
1. Use the fine scouring powder or a scouring pad to
remove the dirt.
2. Clean the appliance with a damp cloth and some de-
tergent.
3. Heat the hotplate to a low temperature and leave to
dry.
4. To maintain the hotplates, wipe the plates with a
drop of olive oil on a kitchen towel to prevent rust.
Important! For stainless steel edges of the hob use cleaner
for stainless steel.

The stainless steel edge of the plate can be slightly
discoloured as a result of the thermal load.
The stainless steel can become tarnished if it is too much
heated. Refer to this you must not cook with potstones,
earthenware pans or cast iron plates. Do not use alumini-
um foil to prevent damage the top during operation.
What to do if…

If you operated the appliance incorrectly, or the in-
stallation was not carried out by a registered engi-
neer, the visit from the customer service technician or
dealer may not take place free of charge, even during the
warranty period.

Funcionamento correcto
