2.0 | MOUNTING ZIPATILE2 ON A WALL
2.1 | REQUIREMENT
•Screwdrivers: flathead and Philips
• Pliers
•Wire stripper / wire cutter
•Non-contact voltage detector
•Electrical tape
•Drill and drill bits appropriate for the wall type
NOTE Use safety goggles and gloves when drilling holes in the wall for screw anchors.
NOTE This product should not be plugged in sockets that can be turned off with a switch.
Risk of Electrical Shock Before performing any electrical work, turn OFF the power to the AC
wires leading into the in-wall box at the main power source. Before starting the installation, use a
non-contact voltage detector to ensure that there is no power to any wires in the wall box.
CAUTION! Installations should be performed in accordance with all national and local electrical codes. If

3.0 | WIRING
3.1 | POWER OPTIONS
ZipaTile2 can be powered in three different ways:
1. USB power adapter
2. PoE (Power over Ethernet)
3. HVAC installation (C wire)
Normally, use the included power supply and connect the micro-USB connector to the power port
of ZipaTile2 unit. If the ZipaTile2 is equipped with PoE module (see section 8.0 | Model numbers
nomenclature description), it can also be powered via Ethernet (when connected to PoE enabled
switch), and via 24 VAC from HVAC wiring (in this case C (common) wire needs to be connected).
3.2 | OUTPUTS/INPUTS
3.2.1 GENERAL HARDWARE VARIANT
There are two different hardware variants of ZipaTile2, differing in output configurations. Before attempting
to connect wire terminals, please check which variant you have (this info is visible on the label of the device).
For more info, refer to section 8.0 | Model numbers nomenclature description.
