Description
The Zone LED Indicator is an expansion board for fire and
repeater panels. It shows the status of selected zones. Model
numbers and capacities are given in Table 1.

The zone LED indicator shows the status of up to 20 or 40
zones in a large fire panel or repeater control panel, and up to
24 zones in a small fire panel. The LED indicator uses two
LEDs per zone to indicate zone events and status.
The red LED indicates an alarm in the corresponding zone:
• A flashing red LED indicates a detector (or automatic) fire
alarm
• A steady red LED indicates a manual call point fire alarm
The yellow LED indicates a fault, test, or disablement in the
corresponding zone:
• A flashing yellow LED indicates a fault
• A steady yellow LED indicates that the zone is disabled or
is being tested
Installation
WARNING: To avoid personal injury or death from
electrocution, disconnect the control panel from the mains
power supply and batteries before installing this product.
To install the zone indicator:
1. Unscrew and remove the plastic cover from the inside of
the control panel door.
2. Install the zone indicator inside the control panel door, as
shown in Figure 1 for the large panel, or Figure 5 for the
small panel. Secure the board using the screws provided.
3. Restore power and add the zone indicator to the control
panel configuration. (See the control panel installation
manual for further details.)
4. Use the supplied inserts to label each zone.
For a 20- or 40-zone indicator, label the inserts as shown in
Figure 3 or Figure 4. Slide the insert into the appropriate slot
as shown in Figure 2.
For a 24-zone indicator label the inserts as shown in Figure 7.
Slide the insert into the appropriate slot as shown in Figure 6.
