Ziton Wireless Multisensor Detector Installation Guide
General
The Ziton wireless mutisensor detector and ancillary
equipment are available under the following part
numbers:
PART NO VARIANT TYPE
ZR432-2P Ziton multisensor wireless detector
ZR401-3P Ziton wireless module only (no

ZX432-2P Ziton multisensor detector head
only
The address of the unit is set when programming the
device to the receiver (see programming manual for
details). The installation must conform to BS5839: Part 1
(or applicable local codes).
Installation of Ziton wireless multisensor detector
Ensure that all detectors are sited in accordance with the
survey and design details. Wherever practical, the red
LED should face the main entrance to the room.
Remove the ceiling mounting plate by rst disengaging
the detector head by turning it counter clockwise. This
exposes the wireless module (shown in Figure 2).
Disengage the mounting plate by pressing down the
locking pin (shown in Figure 2) and turning the wireless
module counter clockwise whilst pushing it against the
ceiling mount.

This dis-assembles the mounting plate from the wireless
module and head sections. (See Figure 1). The ceiling
mount will now be available for xing to the ceiling.
Ensure that the detector head and wireless module is
suitably stored so as to prevent the possibility of
accidental damage.
Fix the ceiling mounting plate to the ceiling using
suitable xings and fasteners. A minimum of two
mounting holes must be used. (See Figure 3).
It is important that fastener heads are ush or sub-ush
with the internal surface of the ceiling mount to avoid
the risk of damaging the battery PCB.

To ensure correct operation, connect the power jumper
across the PIN header on the battery PCB located on the
front of the detector (shown in Figure 2).
The unit is powered by 6 x AA alkaline batteries. These
are supplied tted. Should batteries require
replacement, only use specied batteries whilst
observing correct polarity as shown in Figure 4.
Batteries that have been removed must be disposed of in
accordance with your country’s relevant Waste Electrical
and Electronic Equipment (W.E.E.E) regulations.

details.
The detector’s sensitivity can be set via the detectors DIL
switches on the head section (shown in Figure 5)

To reassemble the unit, place the detector and head
section into the xed ceiling mount (ensuring that
locating lugs line up) and turn clockwise to achieve a
positive location.
Ensure that the tamper switch operates correctly. The
switch should make contact with the ceiling mount
plate.
Please Note: The nal commissioning, detector
sensitivity detection settings and hand over of the
wireless re system to the end user is the responsibility
of the re installation contractor.
