ection 1.1.3 Warning and Information Labels have the following meaning :

The Pannoramic MIDI, including any of it original acce ory component , hould not be operated in
any other way than de cribed in ection 1.1.1 Intended Use.

Warning!
In ert the power cord plug only into a grounding outlet. The protective action
mu t not be rendered ineffective by exten ion cable without protective
conductor. The Pannoramic MIDI ha a built-in protection which mu t not be
rendered ineffective by exten ion cable without protective (earth-ground)
conductor.
Warning! The operation of the in trument in explo ion-ri k environment i not allowed.
Warning!
If protective device are found to be ineffective, the Pannoramic MIDI mu t be
hut down and precaution mu t be taken to prevent unintended u age. For
nece ary repair work or work to re tore proper operating condition, you
hould contact the 3DHISTECH Cu tomer Service.
Note:
Electric power to the Pannoramic MIDI i upplied via an external main power
upply unit. It allow for operation at line voltage in the range of 100 V to 240
V ±10%, 50/60 Hz, without any extra facilitie required for voltage
tran formation.
Warning! Check that your local line voltage i compatible with Pannoramic MIDI
pecification before you turn power on.

Disconnect plug! Remember to unplug the power cord before you open the Pannoramic MIDI
ba e unit or replace a fu e!
Warning! Only connect external device that are afety extra low voltage rated to the
in trument to avoid the ri k of electrical hock.
Warning!
The Pannoramic MIDI doe not include any pecial facilitie to protect from
ample with an etching, potentially infectiou , toxic, radioactive or other
health-damaging effect. You are under obligation to comply with all currently
binding legi lation, notably, national accident prevention rule when handling
ample of thi kind.
Caution!
Dirt or du t may adver ely impact the operating capability of the Pannoramic
MIDI. For thi rea on, mea ure mu t be taken to eliminate uch influence to a
maximum po ible degree. During period of non-u e, the Pannoramic MIDI
mu t be protected with a du t cover. Check that power i turned off before you
put the cover on.
Caution! Avoid touching the lamp bulb. Di connect power and allow the bulb to cool
down by waiting for about 15 minute before replacing it.
Crush hazard!
There i cru h hazard in the movement area of the lide in ert during operation.
Plea e note that the digitizing proce ha to be interrupted and the in ert
moved via oftware to the output po ition before removing the in ert.
Warning! A defective Pannoramic MIDI i not cla ified a dome tic wa te. It mu t be
properly di po ed in accordance with currently valid legal requirement .

The Pannoramic MIDI may not be operated by other than properly in tructed
per on . Operating per onnel mu t be fully aware of the potential danger
which a particular field of application involve . The Pannoramic MIDI i a
preci ion in trument which may uffer a ignificant reduction in operational
function or even phy ical de truction following intervention performed in any
nonconforming manner.
Warning! If an HXP 120 fluore cent illumination unit i u ed, the corre ponding warning
included in the manufacturer’ operating manual have to be ob erved.

Notes on Warranty
3DHISTECH Ltd. – a the Product Manufacturer – warrant the Pannoramic MIDI to be free from fault
in material and workman hip at the moment of in tallation. Defect mu t be notified immediately on
identification and maximum effort mu t be undertaken in order to minimize damage. On receiving
notice of a fault, the Product Manufacturer will be under obligation to remove the fault, at hi own
option, either by providing adequate repair ervice or by delivering a faultle product for
replacement. No warranty will be accepted in ca e of natural wear (notably, wear and tear) or
improper product handling.
The Product Manufacturer will refu e any liability in the event of damage re ulting from faulty
operation, negligence or unauthorized intervention into the product, notably, from the replacement
of product part or the u age of acce ory part from other manufacturer . Any uch ca e will void
the u er’ claim for warranty.
Except for action which are explicitly de cribed in thi U er’ Guide, you are prohibited from
performing any kind of maintenance or repair work at the Pannoramic MIDI. Only authorized
3DHISTECH Service per onnel or pecifically authorized repre entative are allowed to handle repair

The Pannoramic MIDI i de igned to u e tran mitted light and reflected light fluore cence to digitize
biological ample and pecimen (hi tological ection , typically). The target u er of the product can
work for example, in education, re earch, indu try or medical ector .

channel . An out tanding 0.12 µm/pixel (in Brightfield) and 0.16 µm/pixel (in Fluore cent) re olution
