1. Install the eBeam™ software on
your PC. ➊
2. Install 1 “AA” battery in the
presentation pen. ➋

6. Double-Click the 3M Digital
Annotation desktop icon on
your computer ➏ to launch the
whiteboard software.
3. Attach the USB cable from the
Digital Board to the USB port on
your PC. ➌
4. Attach a video projector to
your PC. ➍ Refer to the
manufacturer’s instructions for
your device.
5. Optional: Attach a printer
to your PC. ➎ Refer to the
manufacturer’s instructions for
your device.
setup & operation
The 3M™ Digital Board ships with an
alkaline “AA” battery installed upside
down in the presentation pen. Take off the
cap, remove the battery and rotate it to the
correct polarity.
7. Click “Yes” ➐ in the calibrate
dialog box.
8. Tap each of the highlighted
targets ➑ with the interactive
stylus.
9. Use the eBeam annotation tools ➒
to annotate your presentation.

The 3M Digital Board hardware, which is limited to the writing surface, side panel, pen tray, and
electronic pod cover, is warranted to be free from defects in material or manufacture for 5 years from
the time of purchase. All other components, including the electronic reader attachment, cable and
software are warranted to be free from defects in material and manufacture for two years from the
time of purchase. 3M MAKES NO OTHER WARRANTIES OR CONDITIONS INCLUDING, BUT
NOT LIMITED TO, ANY IMPLIED WARRANTY OF CONDITION OF MERCHANTABILITY OR
FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE. If this product is defective within the warranty period
stated above, your exclusive remedy shall be, at 3M’s option, to replace or repair the 3M product or
refund the purchase price of the 3M product. Except where prohibited by law, 3M will not be liable for
any indirect, special, incidental or consequential loss of damage arising from this 3M product, regardless
of the legal theory asserted.
