relevant user instructions and reference leaflets where you
will find information on approved combinations, spare parts
and accessories
SYSTEM DESCRIPTION
The 3M™ Speedglas™ Task light G5-01 is designed to be
used only with the Speedglas welding helmet G5-01. The
Speedglas task light G5-01, powered by a 3M™ Adflo™
Li-ion Battery, enables welders to light up the work area in
order to get a better view of the workpiece.
^ WARNING
Proper selection, training and appropriate maintenance is
essential in order to ensure correct usage of the product. For
suitability and proper use follow local regulations and refer to
all information supplied.
^ Particular attention should be given to warning
statements where indicated.
^ Only use with original 3M spare parts and accessories
listed in the reference leaflet and within the usage conditions
given in the Technical Specifications.
^ The use of decals, paint or other modifications not
specified in these user instructions may invalidate claims
under the warranty or cause the product to be noncompliant
with approvals.
^ Possibly hazardous optical radiation emitted from this
product. Do not stare at the operating lamp. May be harmful
to the eye.
^ When removing/uninstalling the task light assembly, there
is a potential for light leakage through the installation holes. A
new lamp or a new solid neck protection needs to be fitted.

European directives as listed in fig 8. The Declaration of

PREPARATION FOR USE
Carefully check that the product is complete (see fig 1),
undamaged and correctly assembled, any damaged or
defective parts must be replaced before each use.

OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
• ON/OFF: press the power button shortly, fig 6. When
activated, the lamp will have the same light intensity as it had
when the lamp was last used.
• Light intensity: Max, High, Medium, Low.
• Change of light intensity: hold the power button down in
order to rotate between the four light intensity levels, fig 6.
• Power saving: The light intensity is automatically reduced as
the battery charge decreases. When the battery charge is low
the lamp will switch to low light intensity and flash twice in
order to alert the user.
• It is not possible to change light intensity when the battery
charge is low, this will be indicated by the light flashing twice.
• The lamp cannot be switched on if the battery charge is
empty.
• When the battery is empty the lamp automatically turns off.
• Thermal protection: If the lamp gets too hot and to protect
the LEDs from overheating, the light intensity automatically
decreases. When the temperature recovers it will
automatically increase the light intensity.
• If the lamp is overheated it will flash four times and
automatically turn off.
• Always turn off the lamp after use.
CLEANING INSTRUCTIONS
Clean the task light and protection plate with a lint-free tissue
or cloth.
To avoid damage to the product do not immerse in water or
spray directly with liquids.
MAINTENANCE
• Replacement of outer protection plate, fig. 7A-7B

INSTRUCTIONS AVANT UTILISATION
Vérifiez scrupuleusement que le produit est complet (voir fig.

TECHNISCHE BESCHREIBUNG
Die Helmlampe 3M™ Speedglas™ Task light G5-01 kann
optional am Speedglas Schweisserkopfteil G5-01 angebracht
werden. Die Helmlampe G5-01 wird über die
Li-Ionen-Batterie der 3M™ Adflo™ Gebläseeinheit mit Strom
versorgt und ermöglicht es dem Schweisser, seinen
Arbeitsplatz besser auszuleuchten.
^ Warnung
Die korrekte Auswahl, Einweisung und Training sowie
regelmässige Prüfung und Wartung sind entscheidend für
den sicheren und korrekten Umgang mit dem vorliegenden
Produkt. Bezüglich der Eignung und korrekten Verwendung
beachten Sie bitte die lokalen Vorschriften und alle
mitgelieferten Informationen.
^ Beachten Sie besonders aufmerksam die
angegebenen Warnhinweise.
^ Verwenden Sie ausschließlich originale 3M Speedglas
Ersatz- und Zubehörteile, die in den Referenztabellen auf
dem beigefügten Merkblatt gelistet sind und beachten Sie die
Einsatzbedingungen, die im Kapitel "Tecnische Daten"
beschrieben sind.
^ Das Aufbringen von Aufklebern oder Farben oder andere
Produktmodifikationen, die nicht in dieser
Bedienungsanleitung beschrieben sind, können mögliche
Garantieansprüche reduzieren bzw. nichtig machen und
dazu führen, dass das Produkt die Zulassung verliert.
^ Von der Lampe kann eine mögliche, schädliche optische
Strahlung verursacht werden. Bitte schauen Sie nicht direkt in
den Lichtstrahl der Lampe. Dies kann zu Augenverletzungen
führen.
^ Wird die Helmlampe vom Kopfteil demontiert, besteht
tendenziell die Gefahr einer Lichtleckage durch die
Einbauöffnung. Daher muss entweder eie neie Helmlampe
oder ein fester Halsschutz montiert werden.
ZULASSUNGEN
Das Produkt trägt das CE-Zeichen und ist konform zu den in
Abb.8 genannten Europäischen Vorgaben. Die

ANWENDUNG
• Ein-/ Ausschalten der Lampe: Drücken Sie kurz den
Schalter, wie in Abb.6 gezeigt. Wird die Lampe eingeschaltet,
hat Sie die gleiche Einstellung für die Lichtstärke, wie beim
letzten Einsatz.
• Lichtstärken: Maximale Lichtstärke, hohe Lichtstärke,
mittlere Lichtstärke, schwache Lichtstärke.
• Einstellung der Lichtstärke: Drücken Sie den
Ein-Auschschalter um zwischen den 4 Lichtstärken hin- und
herzuschalten, s. Abb.6.
• Energiesparmodus: Die Lichtintensität der Helmlampe
reduziert sich automtisch, wenn die Ladung der Adflo Batterie
nachlässt. Ist der Ladezustand der Adflo Batterie schwach,
schaltet die Lichtintensität der Helmlampe automatisch auf
"schwach". Ein zweifaches Blinken der Lampe signalisiert
dem Anwender den schwachen Ladezustand der Adflo
Batterie.
• Die Lichtstärke der Helmlampe kann nicht gewechselt
werden, wenn der Ladezustand der Adflo Batterie schwach
ist. Dies wird durch das zweifache Blinken der Lampe
angezeigt.
• Die Helmlampe kann nicht eingeschaltet werden, wenn der
Ladezustand der Adflo Batterie schwach ist.
• Ist die Adflo Batterie leer, schaltet sich auch die Helmlampe
automatisch aus.
• Schutz vor Überhitzung: Um eine äussere Überhitzung der
Helmlampe zu vermeiden, wird die Lichtstärke in solchen
Fällen automatisch reduziert. Ist die Lampe wieder abgekühlt,
stellt sich automatisch die ursprünglich eingestellte
Lichtstärke wieder ein.
• Hat die Helmlampe eine kritische Temperatur erreicht, blinkt
diese 4-mal und schaltet sich dann automatisch ab.
• Schalten Sie die Helmlampe stets nach Gerauch ab.
REINIGUNG
Reinigen Sie Helmlampe und Vorsatzscheibe mit einem
fusselfreien Tuch.
Um eine Beschädigung der Helmlampe zu vermeiden,
tauchen Sie diese niemals in Wasser oder besprühen Sie
diese mit Flüssigkeiten.
WARTUNG
• Austausch der äusseren Vorsatzscheibe, s. Abb.7A-7B
^ Bitte beachten Sie bei der Entsorgung des Produktes die
entsprechenden lokalen Vorgaben.

automatisch aus.
• Schutz vor Überhitzung: Um eine äussere Überhitzung der
Helmlampe zu vermeiden, wird die Lichtstärke in solchen
Fällen automatisch reduziert. Ist die Lampe wieder abgekühlt,
stellt sich automatisch die ursprünglich eingestellte
Lichtstärke wieder ein.
• Hat die Helmlampe eine kritische Temperatur erreicht, blinkt
diese 4-mal und schaltet sich dann automatisch ab.
• Schalten Sie die Helmlampe stets nach Gerauch ab.
REINIGUNG
Reinigen Sie Helmlampe und Vorsatzscheibe mit einem
fusselfreien Tuch.
Um eine Beschädigung der Helmlampe zu vermeiden,
tauchen Sie diese niemals in Wasser oder besprühen Sie
diese mit Flüssigkeiten.

ISTRUZIONI OPERATIVE
• ON/OFF: premere brevemente il pulsante di accensione, fig.
6. Quando è accesa, la lampada avrà la stessa intensità di
luce che aveva durante l'ultimo utilizzo.
• Intensità della luce: Massima, Alta, Media, Bassa.
• Modifica dell'intensità della luce: mantenere il pulsante di
accensione premuto in modo da ruotarlo tra i quattro livelli di
intensità della luce, fig. 6
• Risparmio energetico: L'intensità della luce si riduce
automaticamente man mano che la carica della batteria
diminuisce. Quando la carica della batteria è bassa, la
lampada passa al livello di intensità basso e lampeggia due
volte per avvertire l'utilizzatore.
• Non è possibile modificare l'intensità della luce quando la
carica della batteria è bassa. Questa condizione è
evidenziata dal doppio lampeggìo della lampada.
• La lampada non può essere accesa se la batteria è scarica.
• Quando la batteria è completamente scarica, la lampada si
spegne automaticamente.
• Protezione da surriscaldamento: Se la lampada si scalda
troppo, e per proteggere il LED dal surriscaldamento,
l'intensità della luce diminuisce automaticamente. Quando la
temperatura ritorna alla normalità, l'intensità della luce
aumenta automaticamente.
• Se la lampada si surriscalda, lampeggia quattro volte e
automaticamente si spegne.

• Ahorro de energía: La intensidad de la luz se reduce

BESCHRIJVING VAN HET SYSTEEM
De 3M™ Speedglas™ Task light G5-01 is ontworpen om
alleen te worden gebruikt met de Speedglas Laskap G5-01.
De Speedglas werklamp G5-01, die werkt op een 3M™
Adflo™ Li-ion batterij, stelt lassers in staat om hun
werkgebied te verlichten en zo een beter zicht op het

Een juiste selectie, training en passend onderhoud zijn
essentieel om een correct gebruik van het product te
garanderen. Voor geschiktheid en correct gebruik moet men

^ Speciale aandacht moet worden besteed aan de
waarschuwingen.
^ Alleen gebruiken met originele 3M-reserveonderdelen en

• Thermische beveiliging: Wanneer de lamp te heet word en
om oververhitting van de LED's te voorkomen, neemt de
lichtintensiteit automatisch af. Wanneer de temperatuur zich
herstelt, wordt de lichtintensiteit automatisch weer verhoogd.
• Wanneer de lamp oververhit raakt zal deze vier keer
knipperen en automatisch uitschakelen.
• De lamp na gebruik altijd uitschakelen.

• Thermische beveiliging: Wanneer de lamp te heet word en
om oververhitting van de LED's te voorkomen, neemt de
lichtintensiteit automatisch af. Wanneer de temperatuur zich
herstelt, wordt de lichtintensiteit automatisch weer verhoogd.
• Wanneer de lamp oververhit raakt zal deze vier keer
knipperen en automatisch uitschakelen.
• De lamp na gebruik altijd uitschakelen.
REINIGINGSINSTRUCTIES
Reinig de werklamp en beschermplaten met een pluisvrije
doek.
Om schade aan het product te voorkomen niet
onderdompelen in water en niet spuiten met vloeistoffen.
ONDERHOUD
• Vervanging van de buitenste beschermplaat, afb. 7A-7B.
