Hardware Usage Guide
1. Insert the dowel end of the FASTENER into the
hole of the adjoining part.
NOTE: The dowel end of the FASTENER must
remain fully inserted in the hole of the adjoining
part while locking the FASTENER.
2. Tighten the FASTENER with a Phillips
screwdriver as tight as possible.

å Assemble your unit on a carpeted floor or on the empty
carton to avoid scratchin your unit or the floor.
å Push four TWIST-LOCK FASTENERS (37F) into
the lare holes in the ENDS (A and B).
å Insert four WOOD DOWELS (15F) into the ENDS (A and B).

Do not tihten the TWIST-LOCK FASTENERS in this step.
Meet Parts (A and B). These
components have been enineered
to be lihter, stroner, faster…
well ok. Not technically faster. But
definitely makes for a sturdier
Lateral File that’s easier to assemble
and friendlier to the environment.

å Separate the EXTENSION SLIDES (40MC) from the EXTENSION RAILS (40MA) as shown in the upper diaram
below. Be prepared, the parts are reasy.
å Fasten the EXTENSION RAILS (40MA) to the ENDS (A and B). Use eiht SILVER 1/2" FLAT HEAD SCREWS (128S)
throuh holes #1 and #4.
å NOTE: For each EXTENSION RAIL, turn a SCREW into the hole shown in the enlared diaram. Then, slide the
inner cartride of the EXTENSION RAIL in to find the other hole that lines up with the hole in the END. Turn a
SCREW into this hole.
å NOTE: The EXTENSION SLIDES will be used later for the DRAWERS.
Push the black lever in and pull the SLIDE from the RAIL.

RIGHT END (A) exactly as shown. Use three BLACK
9/16" PAN HEAD SCREWS (51S).
å Fasten the L-LOCK BRACKET (76G) to the RIGHT
END (A) exactly as shown. Use two BLACK 9/16"
LARGE HEAD SCREWS (1S).

å Fasten four METAL BRACKETS (4G) to the TOP
MOLDING (C). Use four BLACK 9/16" LARGE
HEAD SCREWS (1S).
å NOTE: Be sure the BRACKETS are even with the
ede of the MOLDING.
å Fasten the TOP MOLDING (C) to the TOP (F). Use
four BLACK 9/16" LARGE HEAD SCREWS (1S)
throuh the METAL BRACKETS on the MOLDING
and into the holes in the TOP.

å Carefully turn your unit onto the top.
å Fasten two CORNER BRACKETS (31G) to the ENDS (A
and B) and BOTTOM (G) exactly as shown. Use eiht
BLACK 9/16" LARGE HEAD SCREWS (1S).
å Fasten two METAL BRACKETS (4G) to the BOTTOM (G).
Use two BLACK 9/16" LARGE HEAD SCREWS (1S).
å NOTE: Be sure the BRACKETS are even with the ede of
the BOTTOM.

å Insert the DRAWER SIDES (D547 and D548) at
an angle into the slot at each end of the LOWER
DRAWER FRONT (E).
å Slide the DRAWER BOTTOM (D729) into the
grooves in the DRAWER SIDES (D547 and D548)
and LOWER DRAWER FRONT (E).
å Push one HIDDEN CAM (1F) into the
DRAWER BRACE (M63).
å Fasten the DRAWER BRACE (M63) to the LOWER
DRAWER FRONT (E). Tighten one HIDDEN CAM.
å Fasten the DRAWER BACK (D61) to the DRAWER
SIDES (D547 and D548) and DRAWER BRACE (M63).
Use five BLACK 1-9/16" FLAT HEAD SCREWS (30S).
å Repeat this step for the UPPER DRAWER FRONT (D).
