ATTENZIONE
Leggi attentamente questo manuale d’uso prima di utilizzare il tuo casco Acerbis.
Conservalo per successive consultazioni, le informazioni contenute sono molto
importanti per la tua sicurezza e per mantenere il tuo casco in ecienza nel tempo.
Leggi attentamente le indicazioni delle etichette e quale normativa di riferimento o
omologazione ha superato.
Segui le istruzioni riportate nelle pagine successive per sceglier il casco e
correttamente indossarlo, prendertene cura e sapere dove riporlo e come riporlo.
Evita utilizzi e comportamenti che possono diminuire o compromettere la capacità
protettiva del casco.
Nonostante il casco Acerbis sia disegnato per ridurre e prevenire alcuni tipi di
infortuni se indossato, nessun casco può proteggerti da tutti i possibili impatti:
guida con prudenza.
Il casco non ti protegge da infortuni al collo o alla colonna vertebrale.
Il casco è progettato per assorbire un unico urto o colpo violento. Tutti i caschi
sottoposti a un colpo violento in seguito a caduta, incidente o comunque urto,
devono essere sostituiti.

1.0 TAGLIA E CORRETTA CALZATA
ATTENZIONE
La scelta della taglia è molto importante per la sicurezza. Scegli la misura corretta
con l’aiuto del tuo rivenditore autorizzato Acerbis: Non utilizzare assolutamente un
casco troppo piccolo o troppo grande per la tua testa.
Se hai già eettuato la scelta della taglia e non sei sicuro che sia corretta, ritorna dal
tuo rivenditore autorizzato Acerbis per una verifica e l’eventuale sostituzione del
casco.
ATTENZIONE
Non comprare mai caschi usati o presi in prestito. Indossare un casco di
dimensioni errate può aumentare il rischio di un serio infortunio o morte.
Un casco troppo largo si può muovere o togliere dalla testa a seguito di una brusca
frenata o incidente. Per scegliere il casco di giuste dimensione seguire le seguenti
istruzioni:
1.1 ISTRUZIONI PER DETERMINARE LA TAGLIA CORRETTA
Un casco sicuro è quello che fascia completamente la testa, indossa il casco
aerrando il cinturino per infilarlo completamente sulla testa assicurandoti di essere
in contatto con le imbottiture interne e superiori del casco: indossato il casco deve
aderire alle imbottiture interne e ai guanciali interni, non deve esserci spazio tra le
fodere e la tua testa.
ATTENZIONE
Verifica sempre a casco indossato che il tuo campo visivo sia libero e che tu possa
vedere a sucienza per guidare il tuo veicolo.
Verifica che tu possa respirare liberamente e che nulla ostacoli il flusso d’aria
all’interno del casco.
ATTENZIONE
Verificare l’aderenza del casco quindi scuoti la testa a destra/sinistra e
avanti/indietro. Prova a muovere il casco con le mani, se è troppo largo e tende a
scivolare, prova una taglia più piccola. Se la pressione sulla testa è fastidiosa o
dolorosa, prova una taglia più grande.

Ora prova a fare quello che noi chiamiamo “ROLL OFF TEST”
Allaccia il casco e con una mano prendi la mentoniera, con l’altra cerca di toglierti il
casco con forza dalla parte posteriore. Se in questo modo il casco può essere
scalzato, la taglia non è corretta o non è indossato e allacciato correttamente.
RIPETI LE ISTRUZIONI fino a trovare un casco che si adatti perfettamente e in
sicurezza alla tua testa e che sia allacciato correttamente.
2.0 UTILIZZO DEL CASCO
La funzione principale di un casco è di proteggere la testa in caso di urto.
Questo si ottiene grazie alla capacità di assorbimento dei dierenti materiali
utilizzati, quindi è molto importante seguire con attenzione le seguenti
istruzioni:
ATTENZIONE
Per ridurre il rischio di seri danni o morte e per evitare danni al vostro casco:
• Il casco è progettato specificatamente per un uso motociclistico e non deve
essere usato per altri usi perché non garantisce la sua capacità protettiva.
• Prima dell’uso, togliere la protezione applicata sulla visiera o visierino
parasole.
• Non regolare mai gli accessori durante la guida, regolate il casco solo da
fermi.
• Non far cadere il casco anche se accidentalmente perché può danneggiare e
ridurre la capacita di assorbimento d’urto dei materiali: il danno può non
essere visibile.
• Maneggiare il casco con cura per non compromettere la sua struttura, in caso
di dubbi sull’integrità del casco rivolgersi ad un rivenditore ACERBIS
autorizzato.
• Montare solo accessori originali e dedicati al vostro casco.
• Non indossare niente tra la vostra testa e il casco per non ridurre l’ecacia
dello stesso.

• Indossare sempre il casco ben allacciato alla guida, in modo da sfruttare al
meglio la capacità di protezione.
• Non esporre il casco a fumi di benzina o direttamente ad altri solventi, perché
può danneggiare la calotta, lo strato protettivo e altri componenti del casco e i
meccanismi.
• Non viaggiare con il casco agganciato alla moto perché non solo rovineresti la
verniciatura e la visiera, ma potresti danneggiare il sottogola.
• Tienilo sempre lontano dalla marmitta, dai gas di scarico e dalle fonti di calore
come il bauletto. In estate durante le soste, proteggilo dai raggi diretti del sole
in particolare se il casco è di colore scuro.
• Non usare mai una visiera protettiva scura o colorata di notte o in condizione di
scarsa visibilità
• Non manomettere in alcun caso il tuo casco Acerbis. Non tagliare o forare la
calotta del casco, non inserire viti, non verniciarlo. Non apportare nessuna
modifica al sottogola. Non rimuovere il bordo inferiore del casco o quello della
visiera, può essere molto pericoloso in caso di un incidente. Non modificare
l’interno. In particolare non tagliare o asportare parte del polistirolo perché
ridurresti le possibilità di assorbire gli urti. Utilizza parti di ricambio originali
Acerbis.
• Evita che il casco e i suoi rivestimenti interni vengano “masticati” o “graati”
da un animale domestico, il danno causato potrebbe rilevarsi irreparabile.
• Non lasciare il casco sullo specchietto retrovisore o sul manubrio per evitare di
danneggiare l’interno.
• Evita di esporre il casco a fonti di luce intensa. Se il tuo casco è verniciato con
uno dei seguenti colori Fluorescenti: giallo, arancione, rosso, verde, ricordati
che questi colori non sono resistenti alla luce.

3.0 ISPEZIONE CASCO PRIMA DELL’UTILIZZO
ATTENZIONE
Assicuratevi che il vostro casco sia sempre nelle migliori condizioni di utilizzo:
• Controllare visiera che sia pulita e non graata da impedire la corretta visibilità,
nel caso sostituirla.
• Controllare corretto funzionamento e serraggio di viti e meccanismi: non
stringere troppo le viti di plastica e le viti in generale per evitare danni
permanenti.
• Controllare parti danneggiate e consumate e la presenza di eventuali rotture e
crepe esterne e interne, nel caso sostituire il vostro casco.
• Controlla che tutti gli interni e imbottiture siano agganciati correttamente
perché il casco si indossi correttamente.
• Controllare il cinturino che si chiuda e sia regolato correttamente (vedere
sezione apposita) e che non sia danneggiata.
• Una visiera rigata deve essere sostituita immediatamente per non
compromettere la visibilità, in particolare con il buio. Le visiere colorate sono
da utilizzare solo di giorno. Le visiere scure non sono omologate e pertanto
riservate solo per l’utilizzo in circuito. Un’umidità eccessiva può trasformare il
vapore in uno strato di umidità sulla parte interna riducendo la visibilità.
Per evitarlo assicuratevi che il casco sia ben ventilato e verificate la possibilità
di installare una visierina PINLOCK.
4.0 SISTEMA DI RITENZIONE :
ALLACCIATURA E REGOLAZIONE CINTURINO
Allacciare il sottogola (cinturino) il più stretto possibile sotto la vostra mandibola
senza fare male.
Non ci deve essere spazio tra la gola e il cinturino, verificate provando a inserire le
dita e nel caso stringete.
Stringere il cinturino è importante per evitare lo scalzamento del vostro casco.
Il cinturino è regolato con una lunghezza standard regolata prima dell’utilizzo.

A - Dopo aver calzato un casco Acerbis della vostra taglia corretta (seguendo
attentamente le istruzioni dei punti precedenti) serrate con forza il sottogola
passando la parte terminale del nastro attraverso gli anelli a forma di “D”.
Ora passate la parte terminale del nastro sopra un “D” e attraverso la seconda (come
mostrato nella fig. A) e tiratelo fino a che sia confortevolmente teso.
Per sganciare il sottogola, tirare il nastro rosso attaccato a uno degli anelli a “D” e
sfilare il nastro come mostrato nella fig. A.
- Regolare la lunghezza del sottogola facendo scorrere il nastro nella fibbia.
Il sottogola allacciato deve permettere ad un dito di passare tra il tra il collo e il
nastro.
agganciare l’eccesso del cinturino al bottone rosso per evitare che sventoli durante
la guida.
ATTENZIONE
Il bottone Rosso è solo per tenere ferma la parte eccedente di cinturino, non è una
chiusura di sicurezza
B - Per allacciare il sottogola infilare il maschio dentato della fibbia nell’apposito
alloggiamento (vedi fig. B). Verificare che la fibbia sia agganciata tirando il
sottogola.
- Regolare la lunghezza del sottogola facendo scorrere il nastro nella fibbia. Il
sottogola allacciato deve permettere ad un dito di passare tra il collo e il nastro, ma
non deve permettere al casco di sfilarsi anche sotto una grande forza applicata sul
retro del casco.
Per sganciare il sottogola agire sulla leva rossa che aggancia il maschio dentato ,
alzando la leva stessa.
5.0 MANUTENZIONE E PULIZIA
Non pulire mai il casco con carburante, diluenti o soluzioni o prodotti per la pulizia
vetro che contengono alcool. Queste sostanze potrebbero causare danni gravi del
casco, pur non lasciando tracce visibili. In casi simili, il casco non orirebbe più il
massimo grado di protezione.
Casco e calotta
Pulisci il tuo casco solo con acqua tiepida (non calda!) e poche gocce di sapone
neutro o con prodotti specifici, fai asciugare il casco a temperatura ambiente
lontano dal sole o fonti di calore.
Casco e visiere (esterna e interna)
Per la pulizia utilizzare una soluzione delicata di sapone neutro e acqua calda.
Mai usare acqua bollente, salata benzene, solvente o altri agenti aggressivi.
Trattare con cura per non rimuovere i trattamenti antigrao e danneggiarla, quando
gra o danni ne compromettono la visibilità, sostituirla.
Casco e imbottiture interne, cua e guanciali
Lavare delicatamente a mano e utilizzare sapone neutro e acqua a 30°.
Risciacquare in acqua tiepida e asciugare al riparo dal sole.
Non lavare gli interni in Lavatrice o metterli in asciugatrice per evitare di
danneggiare la schiuma interna.

Read this user manual carefully before using your Acerbis helmet. Keep it for future
reference, this information is very important for your safety and for keeping your
helmet in top condition over time.
Read the label information carefully and which regulatory standards or approvals it
has passed.
Follow the instructions on the following pages to choose your helmet, wear it
correctly, take care of it and know where and how to store it.
Avoid uses and behaviours that may reduce or compromise the protective capacity
of the helmet.
Although an Acerbis helmet is designed to reduce and prevent certain types of
injuries if worn, no helmet can protect you from all possible impacts: ride
carefully.
A helmet does not protect you from neck or spinal injuries.
The helmet is designed to absorb one violent collision or blow. All helmets that
have been subjected to a violent blow following a fall, accident, or any other
collision must be replaced

1.0 SIZE AND CORRECT FIT
warning
Size selection is very important for safety. Choose the correct size with the
assistance of your authorised Acerbis dealer: Never use a helmet that is too small or
too large for your head.
If you have already chosen your size and are not sure if it is the right one, please go
back to your Acerbis authorised dealer to have the helmet checked and if necessary
replaced.
warning
Never buy used or borrowed helmets. Wearing the wrong size
helmet can increase the risk of a serious injury or death.
A helmet which is too loose can move or come o your head following a sudden
stop or accident. Follow the instructions below to choose the right size of your
helmet:
1.1 INSTRUCTIONS TO DETERMINE THE EXACT SIZE
A safe helmet is one that wraps entirely around your head, put on the helmet by
taking hold of the strap to slip it completely over your head making sure to keep
contact with the inner and upper padding of the helmet: Once the helmet is
worn, its inner padding and cheek pads must fit snugly, there must be no space
between the padding and your head.

While wearing your helmet, always make sure that your field of vision is clear and
that you are able to see well enough to operate your vehicle.
Make sure that you can breathe freely and that nothing is blocking the flow of air
inside the helmet.

Check the fit of the helmet then shake your head left/right and front/back. Try to
move the helmet with your hands, if it is too wide and tends to slip o, try a smaller
size. If the pressure on your head is bothersome or painful, try a larger size.

Now try doing what we call the “ROLL OFF TEST”
Fasten the helmet and with one hand hold the chin strap and with the other hand try
to remove the helmet with force from the back. If the helmet can be easily removed,
the size is wrong or it is not worn and fastened properly.
REPEAT THE INSTRUCTIONS until you find a helmet that fits perfectly and securely
on your head and is fastened correctly.
2.0 HELMET USE
The main function of a helmet is to protect the head in the event of a collision.
This is achieved thanks to the absorption capacity of the dierent materials used,
therefore it is very important to carefully follow the instructions below:
WARNING
To reduce the risk of severe injuries or death and avoid damaging your helmet:
• The helmet is designed specifically for motorcycle use and should not be used
for any other purpose because it will not guarantee its protective capacity.
• Before use, remove the protection applied to the face shield or sun visor.
• Never adjust accessories while riding, Only adjust your helmet while stationary.
• Do not drop the helmet even if accidentally because it can damage and reduce
the shock absorption capacity of the materials: the damage may not be visible.
• Handle the helmet with care to avoid compromising its structure. If in doubt
about the integrity of the helmet, contact an authorized ACERBIS dealer.
• Only fit original and customized accessories for your helmet.
• Do not wear anything between your head and the helmet as this will reduce its
eectiveness.

• Always wear your helmet well fastened when riding, to make the most of its
protective capacity.
• Do not expose the helmet to gasoline fumes or other solvents directly, as it may
damage the shell, the protective layer and other helmet components and
mechanisms.
• Do not travel with the helmet hanging from the bike as this could damage not
only the paint and the face shield, but the chin strap as well.
• Always keep it away from the muer, exhaust fumes and heat sources such as
the tail boxes. In summer, when stopping for a break, protect it from direct
sunlight, especially if the helmet is dark.
• Never use a dark or tinted face shield at night or in poor visibility conditions.
• Do not, under any circumstances, tamper with your Acerbis helmet. Do not cut
or puncture the helmet shell, do not insert screws and do not paint it. Do not
modify the chinstrap. Do not remove the lower part of the helmet or the face
shield, it can be very dangerous in case of an accident. Do not alter the inside
of the helmet. Above all, do not cut or remove part of the polystyrene as this
would significantly reduce the chances of absorbing shocks. Use original
Acerbis spare parts.
• Prevent the helmet and its lining from being "chewed" or "scratched" by a pet,
the damage caused could prove irreparable.
• Do not hang your helmet on the rear-view mirror or handlebar to avoid
damaging the inner lining.
• Avoid exposing your helmet to intense light sources. If your helmet comes in
one of the following fluorescent colours: yellow, orange, red, green, remember
that these colours are not light-resistant.

3.0 HELMET INSPECTION BEFORE USE
WARNING
Make sure your helmet is always in its best usable condition:
• Check the face shield to make sure it is clean and not scratched to prevent
proper visibility, replace it if necessary.
• Check all screws and mechanisms to ensure they are tight and working well: do
not overtighten plastic screws and screws in general to avoid permanent
damage.
• Check for damaged and worn out parts as well as external or internal cracks
and breaks, replace your helmet if necessary.
• Make sure all inner parts and pads are fastened properly in order for the helmet
to fit correctly.
• Check the strap to make sure it closes, is properly adjusted (see the relevant
section) and not damaged.
• A scratched face shield must be replaced immediately to prevent it from
aecting visibility, especially in the dark. Tinted face shields should only be
used during daytime. Dark face shields are not homologated and therefore they
are only intended to be used on racetracks. Excessive humidity can cause the
vapour to turn into a layer of moisture on the inside reducing visibility.
To avoid this, make sure the helmet is well ventilated and check whether
a PINLOCK visor can be installed.
4.0 RETENTION SYSTEM:
FASTENING AND ADJUSTING THE STRAP
Fasten the chinstrap as tightly as possible underneath the jaw without causing pain.
There should be no gap between the neck and the strap, check by trying to insert a
finger and if there is, tighten it.
Tightening the strap is important to prevent your helmet from coming o.
The strap is adjusted to a standard length set before its use.

A - Once you are wearing the right size Acerbis helmet (closely following the
instructions above) firmly tighten the chinstrap by passing the end of the ribbon
through the "D" shaped rings. Now pass the end of the ribbon over one of the “D”
rings and through the second one (as shown in fig. A) then pull it until it is
comfortably stretched. To release the chinstrap, pull the red ribbon attached to one
of the "D" rings and remove the ribbon as shown in fig. A.
- Adjust the length of the chinstrap by sliding the ribbon through the buckle.
The fastened chinstrap must allow a finger to pass between the neck and the strap.
Clip the extra strap to the red button to prevent it from flapping while riding.
WARNING
The Red button is only intended to hold the excess part of the strap in place, it is
not a safety closure
B - To fasten the chinstrap, insert the auto lock male buckle into the corresponding
slot (see fig. B). Make sure that the buckle is fastened correctly by pulling the
chinstrap.
- Adjust the length of the chinstrap by sliding the ribbon through the buckle. When
the chinstrap is fastened, it must allow a finger to pass between the neck and the
ribbon, but it must not allow the helmet to slip o even if a great force is applied to
the back of the helmet.
To release the chinstrap, lift the red lever that fastens the auto lock male buckle.
5.0 MAINTENANCE AND CARE
Never clean your helmet with gasoline, thinners, glass cleaning solutions or products
containing alcohol. These agents could cause serious damage to the helmet, while
leaving no visible traces. In such cases, the helmet would no longer provide the
highest protection.
Helmet and shell
Only clean your helmet with lukewarm water (not hot!) and a few drops of mild soap
or with specific products, let the helmet dry at room temperature away from the sun
or heat sources.
Helmet and face shields ( inside and outside)
Use a mild solution of neutral soap and warm water for cleaning.
Never use boiling water, benzene salt, solvent or other aggressive agents.
Handle with care to avoid removing anti-scratch treatments and damaging it, when
scratches or any damage aect visibility, replace it.
Helmet and inner padding, cap and cheek pads
Wash gently by hand and use neutral soap and water at 30° C. Rinse in warm water
and dry out of the sun.
Do not wash the inner components in the washing machine or dry them in the dryer
to avoid damaging the inner foam.
