SAFETY INFORMATION
•Installation,commissioning andelectricalinstallationare only tobeperformedby trainedservice
personnelandinaccordance withthe latest IEEregulations.
•Designer,manufacturers oroperators are responsible forproper andsafe installationas well as forsafe
operation.
•Safety features e.g.inlet guards,are not tobe dismantled,circumventedormade inoperative.
SAFETY PRECAUTIONS
•Before using the Portable JetBlack unit
ElectricalSafety
oCheck thesupply cable fornicks andcuts (regularly check thecable toensure it is ingood
condition).
oEnsure that thecorrect supply voltage is available before switchingontheunit.
oIt is recommendedthat theunit be connectedtoanelectricalsupply that is surge protected
andincompliance withlocalcodes.
oThe unit is fittedwitha suitable plug witha 13ampfuse.
oThere arenoserviceable parts in the fanunit.
oNeverpull theunit by theelectricalsupplycable orthehose.
GeneralSafety
oDo not use ina wet environment.
oThe on/off switchis locatedbehindthe carryinghandle onthe blowerunit.Press “I” toturn
the unit on,and“O” toturntheunit off.
oEnsure that theunit stands levelonthe fourplastic feet provided.
oIf theunithas beenfittedwithaspeedcontroller,adjust the speedtoyourdesiredlevel.
oDon’t remove any guarding orthe flexible hose at any time.
oDon’t allow objects topass throughthe guardwhilst thefanis rotating.
oAlways switchoff theunit at themainelectricalsupply anddisconnect theplugbefore
cleaning the JetBlack.
oDon’t use a pressure washerorsteamwashertocleantheunit.
oEye protectionshouldbeusedatall times whilst operating the unit.
oThe JetBlack has a thermalshut-off device forsafety purposes.Prolongeduse may cause the
unit toshut-off.Inthis case,switchtheunit off andwait fora few minutes before re-use.
•Before using the Wall MountedJetBlack unit
ElectricalSafety
oThe unit isprovidedwitha hardwiring point at the timerswitch.All wiring shouldcomply
withthe latest localelectricalcodes.
oPlease check toensure that the voltage being usedcorresponds withthevoltage ontheunit.
Standardmotors are 115V, 1Ph,50/60Hzor230V1Ph,50/60Hz.

INSTALLATION&SETUP
•Use the wall screws toattachtheprovidedmountingbrackets toasuitable position.
•The bottomofthe mainblowerhousing,whenmountedtothe wall, shouldmeasure approximately 51
inches (1130cm)above groundlevel.
ELECTRICAL CONNECTION
Fixthe backboxtothe wall andcoverthe screws withtheplastic screw coversprovided.Positionthe cable in
the unit using the cable glandprovided.Wire the unit following the diagrambelow.Screw the plastic lidfirmly
intoplace.

OPERATION
•The wall mountedunit is suppliedwithmulti-range touchactivatedtime switchmountedinaweather-
proofenclosuresealedtoIP55.
•The wall mountedversionis operatedbypressing the touchpad.It is preset fora 30secondoperation
whichis operatedbypressing thetouchpad.
•The JetBlack has a thermalshut-off device forsafety purposes.Prolongeduse may cause theunit to
shut off.Inthis case,switchthe unit off andwait fora few minutesbefore re-use.
GUNATTACHMENT
To detachorreplace the gunfollow the following instructions.
•Rotate the black quick release fitting 180°until it clicks.Pushupperring towards the hose (away from
gun,Figure3)andpull andtwist the gun.At thepoint,the gunshoulddetach.
•Rotate the black quick release fitting 180°back toits originalposition.
•Pushreplacementgunintoconnector.

The JetBlack emits a soundpressure of78dB(A).
MAINTENANCE&SERVICE
•The following points must be observedwhenperforming any maintenance orservice operation:
a. Powersupply disconnectedandsecuredagainst restoration.
b. Observepersonalsafety regulations
c. Neveruse highpressure cleanerstoclean.
d. If a filteris fitted,it is recommendedthat these are inspectedat least once a monthand
replacedeverysixmonths.
WARRANTY AND MAINTENANCE:
AirControl Industries Limited(ACI)warrantsall products manufacturedby ACItobefree ofdefects inmaterial
andworkmanshipfortwelve (12)monthsfromthedate ofshipment.Not coveredunderthe warranty is neglect
ormisuse oftheequipment,operationinanapplicationnot approvedby ACI,andalterations notperformedby
ACI.
The ACIwarranty is limitedtothe repairorreplacement ofitemsshippedby ACI.At notime will ACIbe liable
forany ofthe costs tothe buyerforlabour,transportationordown-time resulting fromdefective equipment
furnishedbyACI,oroursuppliers.
Please note –
•The motorwithintheblowerunit has a working life of1000/1500hours andthebrushes may need
replacing afterthis period.
•The warranty will be void ifthe unit is tamperedwith.
