1.BeforeYouBegin
Foryoursafetyandthesafetyofothers,andtoensurethatyougetthemostoutofthe
wirelessalarmkit,pleasereadandadheretotheseguidelines.
•Makesureproductisfixedcorrectlyandstableiffastenedinplace.
•Donotoperateifwiresandterminalsareexposed.
•Donotputthealarmmainpanelnearlarge‐scalemetalobjectsorhousehold
applianceswithhigh‐frequencyinterference.
•DonotinstallthePIRsensorsindirectsunlightornearanydevicewhichemitsheat
orcold,suchasairconditioners,refrigerators,ovens,heaters,microwavesorother
electronicequipmentwhichgeneratesheatasaby‐productofoperation.
•Replacethebatteriesintheunitsregularly.Therearebatteriesintheremote
controls,window/doorsensors,wirelesskeypad,PIRmotionsensorsandsmoke
detectors.
•Testthealarmperiodicallytoensureitisworkingproperly.
•Thestrengthofthewirelesssignalisdramaticallyaffectedbytheplacementofthe
antenna.Extendthelengthoftheantennaifyouneedbetterresults.
•Keepthisbookletinasafeplace.
•Thisalarmsystemisdesignedtobe,andactsas,atheftdeterrent.Thissystem,like
anyother,cannotoffercompleteprotectionforyourhomeorbusiness‐itissimply

Disarm Usedtodisarmthewirelessalarmsystem,whichever
modeitisin.KEYINthepasswordfirst.
Window/doorsensor
Door/windowssensorsareextremelyreliable,andwillbetriggeredeverytimethedooron
whichtheyaremountedisopened.
Whenthetwopartsofthesensorareextremely
closetooneanother(ideallytouching)the
sensorisdeactivated.Assoonasthetwoparts
aremovedapartbyabout10‐15mm,thiswill
causethetransmittertosendthealarmsignal.
Wesuggestusingthewindow/Doorgapsensors
asyourprimaryalarmtriggers.Theyarereliable
and,ifinstalledcorrectly,cansafeguarddoors
andwindowsfrombeingopenedwithoutyour
knowledge.However,thesetypesofsensorscan
becircumventedifawindoworfragiledoor
werebrokenratherthanopened.Thus,we
suggestusingtheinfraredsensorsasabackupto
thewindow/doorsensors.
PIRmotionsensor
ThePassiveInfraRed(PIR)sensorwill,undertypical
conditions,detectahumanbeingmovingaroundwithin
approximately10mfromthesensor.Thisisanaverage
value,astheactualdetectionrangeisbetween5mand
12m.
Astheperformance
ofthesensoris
determinedprimarily
byenvironmental
conditions.Noguaranteescanbeofferedregardingthe
detectionrange.However,therangeistypically
sufficientforthemajorityofinteriorspaces.Some

garagesmaybelargeenoughthatonesensorcannotcoverthatwholearea–wesuggest
testingthisintheactualenvironmentifthere’sanydoubt.
Thesensorhasahorizontal110°vertical60°fieldofview.Themainblindspotsareabove,
beloworbehindthesensoritself.
Typically,theidealplacementinanenvironment
istheuppercornerofaroom,facingslightly
towardstheground(perhaps20‐25°,depending
ontheheightofthesensor).Trytocovertypical
pathsthroughtheroom,focussingparticularly
onlikelyentryandexitpoints.Iftheroomhasseveralentrypoints,trytocoverasmanyof
theseaspracticable.
AvisiblePIRmotionsensorcanbeagreatdeterrenttointruders–butontheotherhand,
skilledintruderscanavoidobviouslyvisiblesensors.Trytomixitupabit.

alarmsystembypassword[0].Thepasswordinhereisforkeypaditselfonlywhichis
differentasthemainsystem’spassword.Youcouldsetupbothpasswordsthesameor
different.Changethepasswordforthekeypadbycommand:[*][2][*]newpassword[#],
makesureputawaythewatchdogafterchangingpassword.Intruderwhoknowsthis
commandwilloperatethealarmsystembykeypadifyouleavethewatchdogwithkeypad.
Thisunithastwonewuniquedesigns:
Battery/powersupply:usebothoroneofthem.Giveyoumorefreedom.
Watchdog:keepitinasafeplaceaftersetting.Noonecanchangethesettingwithoutthis
watchdogincludingtheskilledintruder.
Dualbeaminfraredbarrier
Thedualbeaminfraredbarrierwilldetectanobjectivewhenit
blocksanyneighbourtwoormoreinfraredlightsover40ms.It’s
designedforoutdoorenvironment,couldbeinstalledindriveway,
carport,drivethroughshop,balconyandsoon.

3.INSTALLATION
Openthealarmkitanddeterminewhereeachpieceistobelocated.ThePIRsensorsusually
mountedhighonawallanddirectedintotheroomrequiringprotectionsuchasalounge
roomorhallway.Themainpanelisusuallylocatedsomewherewithin1meterofapower
point.Thesensorsmustnotbelocatedmorethan80metresfromthemainpanel.
InstallingtheADS‐A180mainpanel:
Connectthepowersupply,telephoneline,internalsiren,andantenna.SwitchON/OFFto
ONposition.Remember:testthewholesystembeforeyoufastenthemontheposition.
InstallingwirelessPIRsensors:Installationheightisabout2.2metersabovegroundand
youneedconsiderthebestcoverage.(Ref:page3)
InstallingwirelessDoor/Windowsensor:Thetransmittershouldbeinstalledonthefixed
frameandthetriggershouldbeplacedonthemovablesidewithagapnotexceeding1CM.
Thedoor/windowsensorscanattachmostsurfacesbydoublesidedmountingtape.
Installingwirelesskeypad:Installthekeypadatmainentranceandmustundercover.Keep
thewatchdogseparatelyinasafeplace.Youneedplugwatchdogonwhenyouchangethe
passwordinthefuture.
InstallingDualbeaminfraredbarrier:Connectthepowercableasdemonstration.“+”pole
connectpoweradapter’sredcable,“‐”poleconnectpoweradapter’sblackcable.Screw
bothpartsontothepositionwhereyouprefer.Andmakesurethesameleveloftwoparts.
Turningthebarrierslightlytomakesuretwopartsarefacingeachother.
4.PROGRAMMINGADS‐A180
PASSWORD:
Thedefaultpasswordis1234.Westronglyrecommendchoosinganewpasswordassoonas
possible.Command:25*newpassword#(mustundersetmode)
SETmode:
KeyinpasswordthenpressestheSETbutton.ThemostprogrammingneedsunderSET
mode.PresstheSETbuttontoreturn.Systemwillreturnautomaticallyifthereisno
operationin30secondsduringSETmodecondition.

CODEmode:
KeyinpasswordthenpressestheCODEbutton.Youcancodetheewirelessaccessories
underthisCODEmode.PresstheCODEbuttontoreturn.Systemwillreturnautomaticallyif
thereisnooperationin30secondsduringCODEmodecondition.
RECODEmode:
KeyinpasswordthenpressestheRECODEbutton.Press1for10secondsmessagerecord,
press2tolistenwhatyouhaverecoded,presstheRECODEbuttontoreturn.Systemwill
returnautomaticallyifthereisnooperationin30secondsduringRECODEmodecondition.
Thealarmsystemdoesn’thaveinnermicrophoneyouwillneedtelephone’shelp.

Makesureyouturnoffallsensorsbeforeyoucodingnewwirelessaccessories.ThePIR
sensorwillkeepworking10secondsafterturnoffthepower.
