It might also be sef l to have a Dri-Aid kit in case the

Listening earphones?
Advanced Bionics say that the LED will tell yo anything yo
need to know. If the LED indicates no problem and the ser is
still complaining of problems, it is better to replace the
processor.
What if the processor gets wet?
Remove the PowerCel (battery) from the Harmony. Shake o t any
excess water. Place the Harmony and headpiece in the Dri-Aid Kit
overnight. If no kit is available, leave to dry at room temperat re.
Do not attempt to speed p the drying process by sing a hairdryer
or other eq ipment as this can ca se f rther damage.
If yo have no s ccess, contact the implant centre.
What do the lights on the LED display mean?
As soon as yo have connected the battery the LED will flash as
follows:

What else could you try?
•Check the connections, incl ding PowerCel, earhook and
cables.
•Check for visible damage to components.
•Check the vol me dial.
•Is the headpiece positioned over the implant site?
•Is the PowerCel charged and inserted properly? Try another
PowerCel.
•Are yo sing the appropriate program? Try another program.
•Check the Microphone/System stat s sing the LED.
•Replace the Cable/Headpiece.
•Clean the battery contacts on both yo r PowerCel and Harmony
Processor.
•Remove any materials (hat, headband, scarf, etc.) that may be
covering the microphone.
•Yo co ld try sing an a xiliary microphone or the Direct
Connect earhook interfaced with an a dio device (eg.CD/MP3
player) to check performance.
However
yo will need to se
a program that is designated to accept an external a dio
so rce. If there is no problem when sing this alternative,
place yo r processor in the carrying case/Dri-Aid overnight. If
no so nd is present the next day, contact yo r a diologist.
•Contact yo r a diologist for f rther tro bleshooting if necessary
