The 8504B precision reectometer is ahigh-resolution interferometer
that measures return loss
.It is optimized for single-mode ber
,but useful
measurements can also be made in multi-mode ber

reectometer performs measurements at 1300 nm and 1550 nm wavelengths

in acounterclockwise direction. Useful measurements are achievable with
other adapters
,butmeasurement performance may not be optimum. Refer

available adapter types.
