0.1 Sicurezza
Nell'uso di macchine agricole, occorre essere consa-
pevoli che le parti meccaniche in movimento (lineare o
rotatorio) possono causare gravissimi danni a persone
e cose.
Gli utilizzatori devono:
• Evitare ogni uso improprio della trinciatrice.
• Evitare di manomettere i dispositivi di sicurezza.
• Evitare di rimuovere i dispositivi di sicurezza eccetto
che per operazioni di manutenzione, avendo cura di
rimontarli ad operazione eseguita.
• Eseguire con regolarità gli interventi di manuten-
zione.
• Procurarsi esclusivamente ricambi originali soprat-
tutto per i componenti che svolgono funzioni di sicu-
rezza.
A tal fine è necessario che:
• Sia disponibile la documentazione originale di uso e
manutenzione della trinciatrice.
• Tale documentazione sia stata accuratamente letta
e che le prescrizioni vengano conseguentemente
messe in pratica.
• La documentazione deve essere conservata con
cura per consultazioni future.
0.2 Personale addetto alla trinciatrice
Il personale addetto alla trinciatrice può essere diffe-
renziato per grado di preparazione e responsabilità in:
OPERATORE - Persona non necessariamente di ele-
vate conoscenze tecniche, addestrata alla conduzione
ordinaria della trinciatrice, per esempio: messa in mar-
cia, arresto di fine lavoro, operazioni di manutenzione
elementare (pulizia, inceppamenti semplici), opera-
zioni di regolazione della trinciatrice.
TECNICO QUALIFICATO - Addetto alle operazioni più
complesse di manutenzione e di riparazione.
Occorre che ciascun addetto non compia interventi al
di fuori del proprio campo di conoscenze e responsabi-
lità.
0.1 Safety
When using farm machinery it is necessary to be
aware that mechanical parts in linear and rotating
motion may cause serious injury to people and major
damages to things.
Users should always:
• Avoid improper use of the shredder.
• Avoid tampering with the safety devices.
• Avoid removing the safety devices except for main-
tenance operations, always reinstall them after
maintenance.
• Take care of the regular maintenance.
• Install genuine spare parts, this is especially impor-
tant for the shredder safety components.
Due to safety reasons it is necessary that:
• The original operating and maintenance instructions
manual is always available.
• The user should read this book carefully and conse-
quently follow its procedures.
• This manual should be considered a permanent
part of the shredder and should be carefully
taken care of for future consultations.
0.2 Staff in charge of the shredder
The staff in charge of the shredder can be differenti-
ated according to experience and responsibility level
into:
OPERATOR - Person not necessarily expert from a
technical point of view, trained for the ordinary shred-
der operation, i.e. starting, end of session stopping,
basic maintenance (cleaning, minor cloggings), shred-
der adjustments.
TRAINED TECHNICIAN - Required for the most diffi-
cult maintenance and repair operations.
It is important that each operator does not perform any
operation outside his field of knowledge and responsi-
bility.

0.3 Segnalazioni sulla trinciatrice
Prestare attenzione anche a condizioni di pericolo
segnalate a mezzo di targhette adesive poste diretta-
mente sulla trinciatrice e di seguito presentate:
FIG. A Velocità massima e senso di rotazione
dell'albero della scatola ingranaggi. Attenersi
scrupolosamente a questa indicazione in
quanto un numero di giri più elevato può cau-
sare gravi danni alla trinciatrice.
FIG. B Obbligo di leggere il "Manuale d'uso e manu-
tenzione" prima di utilizzare la trinciatrice.
FIG. C Pericolo, non avvicinarsi quando la trincia-
trice è in funzione.

0.3 Warning tags on the shredder
It should be paid particular attention to the warning
tags placed on the shredder and hereunder listed:
FIG. A Maximum speed and rotating direction of the
gearbox shaft. Carefully observe this instruc-
tion since a higher rpm speed may cause
serious damages to the shredder.

maintenance manual” should be compulsorily
read.

La redazione del presente manuale tiene conto delle
direttive comunitarie per l'armonizzazione delle norme
di sicurezza e per la libera circolazione dei prodotti
industriali in ambito CEE (direttiva Consiglio CEE
98/37/CE nota come “Direttiva Macchine”).
Scopo del presente manuale è di fornire all'OPERA-
TORE ed al TECNICO QUALIFICATO, le istruzioni
utili per eseguire in modo sicuro l'installazione, l'avvia-
mento e la manutenzione della trinciatrice. In caso di
dubbi, rivolgersi ai servizi di assistenza AGRIMASTER
competenti per area geografica o contattare diretta-
mente l’AGRIMASTER.

This manual was edited in compliance with the EEC
guidelines for the equalizing of the safety rules and for
the free trade of industrial products within the EEC
(EEC Council guideline 98/37/EC known as “Machine
guideline”).
This manual will provide the OPERATOR and the
TRAINED TECHNICIAN with useful information to
safety perform the shredder installation, starting, oper-
ating and maintenance. If you have any questions
please consult your AGRIMASTER dealer or directly
AGRIMASTER.
Notation
For the safety of people and things, and for the impor-
tance of some operations, particular symbols were
used, in order to draw the attention of the staff in
charge:

1.1 Identificazione del costruttore e della

Sul fianco del carter della trasmissione a cinghie, è
presente la targhetta di identificazione (Fig. 1-1) con
indicate le seguenti informazioni:
1Dati del costruttore.
2Modello della trinciatrice.
3Anno di costruzione.
4Matricola.
5Peso massimo che la trinciatrice può raggiungere
montando tutti gli accessori disponibili.
6Marchio CE che certifica la conformità della trincia-
trice alla direttiva della Comunità Economica Euro-
pea CEE 98/37/CE.
7Livello di rumorosità.

On the side of the belts transmission cover, there is an
identification tag (Fig. 1-1) containing the following
informations:

5Maximum shredder weight with all the accessories.
6EEC Stamp attesting the shredder conformity with
the EEC guideline 98/37/EC.

1.2 Per la vostra sicurezza
• Non rimuovere le protezioni di sicurezza quando la
trinciatrice è in movimento.
• Durante il lavoro della trinciatrice, è consigliabile
mantenersi ad una distanza di sicurezza di 70 m.
• Prima di eseguire qualsiasi intervento sulla trincia-
trice, ad esempio operazioni di pulizia o di manuten-
zione, disinserire la presa di forza della trattrice,
attendere l'arresto completo del rotore, arrestare il
motore e disinnestare l'albero cardanico dalla parte
della trattrice.
• Non tenere persone sulla trinciatrice durante il tra-
sporto o il lavoro.
• Non tentare di introdurre o estrarre materiale con
qualsiasi attrezzo, in modo particolare con le mani o
con i piedi, quando il rotore è in movimento.
• Non sollevare la trinciatrice, con il rotore in movi-
mento a più di 20 cm da terra.
• Disinserire la presa di forza e scollegare l'albero
cardanico dalla trattrice durante la fase di trasporto
della trinciatrice.
• Utilizzare mezzi di protezione degli occhi e del viso,
se la trattrice è sprovvista di cabina chiusa.
• Utilizzare alberi cardanici protetti.
QUANDO SI DISINSERISCE LA PRESA DI FORZA
L’ALBERO CARDANICO SMETTE DI RUOTARE,
MA CIÒ NON SIGNIFICA CHE TUTTI GLI ORGANI
ROTANTI DELLA TRINCIATRICE SIANO FERMI,
POICHÈ È PRESENTE IL DISPOSITIVO DI “RUOTA
LIBERA” ALL’INTERNO DELLA SCATOLA INGRA-
NAGGI DELLA TRINCIATRICE.
GLI UTENSILI DELLA TRINCIATRICE NON
DEVONO MAI VENIRE A CONTATTO CON IL TER-
RENO. QUESTO PER EVITARE CHE PARTI DI PRO-
DOTTO TRINCIATO O ALTRI CORPI ESTRANEI
(PER ESEMPIO SASSI) POSSANO COLPIRE
L’OPERATORE, LA TRATTRICE, ALTRE PERSONE,
ANIMALI E COSE.

1.2 For your safety
• Never remove the safety protections while the
shredder is moving.
• It is recommended to maintain a safety distance of
70 m. during the operation of the shredder.
• Before working on the shredder, for example before
cleaning or maintenance operations, always discon-
nect the tractor PTO, wait for the complete rotor
standstill, stop the engine and disconnect the
cardan shaft on the tractor side.
• Do not carry passengers on the shredder during
operation or transport.
• Do not attempt to insert or extract material with tools
or especially with your hands or feets while the rotor
is moving.
• Do not elevate the shredder over 20 cm above the
ground while the rotor is moving.
• Disconnect the PTO and the cardan shaft from the
tractor during the shredder transport.
• Use eyes and face protectors if the tractor has no
closed cabin.
• Always mount protected cardan joints.
THE CARDAN SHAFT STOPS ROTATING AFTER
DISCONNECTING THE PTO. THIS DOES NOT
MEAN THAT ALL SHREDDER ROTATING PARTS
ARE STANDSTILL, SINCE A “FREE WHEEL”
DEVICE IS INSTALLED INSIDE THE GEARBOX OF
THE SHREDDER.
THE MULCHING MACHINE TOOLS MUST NEVER
COME INTO CONTACT WITH THE GROUND. IF
THEY DO, THE MULCHED PRODUCT AND OTHER
FOREIGN BODIES (E.G. STONES) COULD BE
THROWN UP AND HIT THE OPERATOR, TRAC-
TOR, OTHER PERSONS, ANIMALS AND PROP-
ERTY.

2.1 Descrizione generale
Le trinciatrici della serie REF (Fig. 2-1) trovano il loro
migliore impiego nella pulizia di vigneti, parchi, campi
sportivi e verde pubblico.
Le trinciatrici sopra descritte devono essere collegate
al sollevatore della trattrice tramite l'attacco a tre punti.
Ricevono il moto per mezzo di un giunto cardanico che
collega l’albero della presa di forza della trattrice alla
scatola ingranaggi posta sulla trinciatrice. Il movimento
viene trasmesso al rotore per mezzo di una trasmis-
sione a cinghie opportunamente protetta.
2.1 General description
The shredder of the REF series (Fig. 2-1) are espe-
cially for taking care of vineyards, parks, sporting
grounds and public green areas.
The shredder described above should to be connected
to the tractor lift by means of the three point linkage. It
is driven by means of a cardan joint connecting the
tractor PTO shaft to the gearbox positioned on the
shredder. The rotor is driven by a properly protected
belt transmission, and the pick-up are driven by a
chain transmission moved by an hydraulic motor con-
nected to the tractor engine.

2.1.1 Montaggio coltelli
Personale richiesto: 1 OPERATORE + 1 TECNICO
QUALIFICATO alla movimentazione della trinciatrice.
• Sollevare il raccoglitore in modo da rendere acces-
sibile il vano rotore (Fig. 2-3).
FERMARE IL RACCOGLITORE CON ADEGUATI
SOSTEGNI.
• Procedere alla sostituzione dei coltelli tenendo
conto che coltelli o mazze in posizioni opposte
devono avere lo stesso peso. É comunque tollera-
bile una differenza di peso non superiore al 2%.
Serrare i dadi a 6 kgm.
SOSTITUIRE I DADI AD OGNI CAMBIO DI COL-
TELLI.
NON MONTARE CONTEMPORANEAMENTE
GRUPPI DI COLTELLI DIVERSI TRA LORO (montare

Terminata l’operazione di montaggio è bene control-
lare che tutte le viti dei coltelli siano ben serrate.
LASCIARE ANCHE UNA SOLA VITE NON BLOC-
CATA PUÓ ESSERE ESTREMAMENTE PERICO-
LOSO.

Standard equipment (Fig. 2-2):
• Gearbox with free-wheel (1).
• Three-point-hitch (2).
• Roller ø140.
• Front metal pivotting wheels (3).
• Twin rear pneumatic pivotting wheels-unit (4).
• Cardan joint.
2.1.1 Blades assembly
Required staff: 1 OPERATOR + 1 TECHNICIAN
TRAINED for moving the shredder.
• Lift the collector in order to have the rotor area
accessible (Fig. 2-3).
FASTEN THE COLLECTOR WITH SUITABLE SUP-
PORTS.
• Replace the blades keeping in mind that opposite
blades or hammers must have the same weight. A
weight difference below 2% is however acceptable.
Tighten the nuts upto 6 kgm.
REPLACE THE NUTS AT EACH BLADES
REPLACEMENT.
NEVER INSTALL DIFFERENT BLADE MODELS AT
THE SAME TIME (Always install either all “Y” blades,
or all hammer blades, or all paddle blades, etc...).
After the blades assembly always check for the correct
tightening of the blades bolts.
LEAVING EVEN ONLY ONE BOLT NOT PROPERLY
TIGHTENED MAY IMPLY EXTREME DANGER.
