C – USING YOUR COMBIPLOW 31+
I – Description
The COMBIPLOW 31+ framework can be equipped with a variety of blades. Each blade is supplied
with replaceable wear and tear part. It is protected with a shear bolt or a safety spring. The blades’
working depth is controlled by the depth-control device or by a pair of adjustable wheels.
The COMBIPLOW 31+ is coupled with 3 point linkage category 2 and 3. All the models are supplied
with supports.
II – Preparation for use
When you receive your COMBIPLOW 31+, verify that its characteristics are suitable. Then, carry out
the preliminary operations for starting up, as indicated in this manual.
III – Coupling-up to the tractor
1. Reverse the tractor in order to couple-up with the COMBIPLOW 31+, which should be grounded
on a stable surface with its supports.
2. Place the lower lifting arms in line with the coupling braces.
3. Couple-up the lower lifting arms by means of the appropriate device.
4. Adjust the length of the 3 point linkage then fix it with the shaft and clip supplied.
5. Lift the supports
5. To unfasten the COMBIPLOW 31+, do the preceding operations in reverse order and ensure
that the machine is on a stable surface.
6. During coupling-up or unfastening, nobody should remain between the tractor wheels and the
COMBIPLOW 31+,.
IV – Coupling of a complementary device
1. Follow the above mentioned instructions and the user’s guide of the complementary device
manufacturer.
2. If this equipment is supplied with a cardan you will have to replace this standard transmission by a
long transmission. It has to be elongated by about 75 cm. The both half-transmissions have to be
equally long.
3. Verify that in the most remote position this transmission flare union conforms to the constructor
working conditions.
Also think to reduce the retractility of the rear coupling of the COMBIPLOW 31+ if it is needed.
11

Putting into operation :
•In order to respect the parallelogram effect, ensure that the distances AA’ and BB’ are equal.
•With adjusting of the stop axle C you can control the working depth. So, higher you place the stop
axle C, more deeply you work with Combiplow 31+.
•The adjustment of the stop axle D is needed to control the total compactness. That why the
maximal compactness is achieved when you put the stop axle Din the highest position.
V – Adjustment
1. Working width of an element (see page 16) :
-Adjust the distance between each pair of blades if you like it by moving their support along the
frame.
2. Depth adjustment :
-Put the elements in their working position.
-Adjust the depth by manipulating the depth control handle or the shafts of the multistop braces
when your machine is equipped with a roller.
VI – Maintenance/repair
1. Before beginning any maintenance operation or oiling, make sure that the safety instructions have
been followed. Before adjustments or verification, make sure the COMBIPLOW 31+ is horizontal
and stable. Block the machine if necessary.
12

2. If there are wheels you have to oil the hubs roller-bearing every 30 hours.
3. Each blade COMBIPLOW 31+ is equipped with a shear bolt which breaks when blade accidentally
come across an obstacle. To replace it you have proceed as following:
−Lift the COMBIPLOW 31+ about 15 cm off the ground and block it in that position with the
tractor motor off and the parking brake on
−Take off a damaged bolt
−Put again the blade in the working position and fasten it with a new bolt. USE ONLY PARTS
OF AGRISEM INTERNATIONAL
4. The ploughshares are fixed by a bolt. When replacing these parts, check that the new ones have
been supplied by AGRISEM INTERNATIONAL. All the parts are made from specially treated
steel, thus it is not advisable to solder them or else the thermal treatment loses its efficiency.
VII – Advice for optimal use
Before all usage, make sure that all safety instructions are followed and that the machine has been
greased and maintained correctly.
To obtain good results the soil cannot be too humid or too dry: the soil has to bend at the blade
passing and produce enough of fissures.
When the soil humidity is great, slipping could degrade the superficial soil structure. It is better to use
a tractor with four-wheel drive to reduce sliding.
The degree of the soil loosening depends on the working depth, the distance between blades and the
working speed.
When the depth is 25-35 cm, the distance of 50 cm between the blades ensures the complete
loosening in the most of conditions. When you work mostly on the surface you might have to use
TWINPLOW (winged) ploughshares. The working speed depends on the conditions and usually is 5-8
km/h. Higher is the working speed, more important is the loosening.
Before starting to work verify the following list:
−Are the wearing parts in good condition and fixed correctly?
−ls there enough ballast on the front of the tractor to lift the COMBIPLOW 31+?
During the work verify that the COMBIPLOW 31+ is correctly coupled and perfectly horizontal
when working, in the longitudinal and transversal sense.
If required, consult your tractor’s manual to study all safety aspects and adjustments for raising
the tractor in order to optimize the use of your material.
The correct use of the COMBIPLOW 31+ optimizes and ensures a good planting of your crop.
AGRISEM INTERNATIONAL can not be held responsible for soil degradation or a result which is
not up to your expectations. The user must make his own decisions and assume the risks taken
should his machine be used incorrectly or inappropriately.
