Important Information

 To use Skype with the wireless phone in Windows 2000/XP, you
should install Skype and the provided utility, AirLive SkyPhone-1000.

 AirLive SkyPhone-1000 is a tool that enables your wireless phone to
communicate with Skype so as to access Skype functionality, about
installation steps please refer “installing Skype software” on this
guide

 You must install the AirLive SkyPhone-1000 software before you
plugging the USB dongle

System Requirements
To use Skype with the wireless phone, your computer must meet the
following minimum system requirements :

 Computer with an available USB 1.1 port or higher

 PC running Windows®2000 or XP.

 400 MHz processor

 128 MB RAM

 15 MB free disk space on your hard drive

 Internet Connection
The requirements are subject to Skype software. For the latest
requirements, please visit the Skype website.

USB Dongle LED Status
The USB dongle’s LED should be lit when plugged to a power-on
computer. It shows the RF link status between the wireless phone and
the dongle as follows:.
Installation on Host Computer
Installing Skype Software
1. If Skype is not yet installed on your computer, please download
Skype installation file from www.skype.com.
2. Double-click the installation file you’ve downloaded and then
follow the on-screen prompts to complete the installation.
Installing the Software AirLive SkyPhone-1000
1. Insert the provided Software Utility CD into your CD-ROM drive. The
setup program will start automatically. If not, locate and double-click
the Setup.exe file in utility folder to launch the setup program.
2. When the welcome screen appears, select a language for the
installation and then click Next.

4. Click Finish to complete the installation.
3. Select to install the program in default directory or click Browse to
specify another directory. Then click Next.

Installing the USB Dongle
Plug the USB dongle to your computer’s USB port. The system will
automatically install Windows built-in driver. Whenever the following
screen appears, always select Allow this program to use Skype and
click OK. If prompted for system restart, click Yes
Throughout this QIG, the computer that is plugged with the USB dongle is
referred to as a “host computer”.
Note: You will not see this screen if Skype is not active. You can
configure it later in Skype window. Refer to user’s manual for details.
When the dongle is plugged to a USB hub…
If the dongle is plugged to your computer via USB hub, make sure the hub
is connected to its power adapter, otherwise insufficient power supply will
cause the phone to generate noise during a conversation.

Managing Skyphone Access to Skype
You should always let your AirLive Skyphone-1000 use Skype so that you
can use the wireless phone. If you accidentally select the Do not allow this
program to use Skype option, open Skype window and take these steps:
1. Click Tools > Options > Privacy > Manage other program’s
access to Skype
2. Select SKYPHONE-1000.EXE and click Change

3. Re-select a proper option to let the provided program access Skype.
Link status on the host computer
Before using the wireless phone, always make sure the link between the
USB dongle, SkyWin and Skype is properly established on your host
computer. Placing the cursor over SkyWin systray icon provides you with
the communication status as described in the table below.

SkyWin Icon Link Status
The USB dongle is plugged. SkyWin and Skype are active. The
link is ready now.
The USB dongle is un-plugged or not properly plugged.
Action: Make sure the USB dongle is properly plugged.
Skype is not active or accidentally terminated or SkyWin is not
allowed to access Skype.
Action: Launch and log in to Skype and allow SkyWin to access
Skype.
Skype is not installed on your computer.
Action: Install Skype on your computer.

Wichtige Informationen

 Um Skype mit dem WLAN-Telefon unter Windows 2000/XP
benutzen zu können, sollten Sie Skype und das mitgelieferte Utility
SkyWin installieren.

 SkyWin ermöglicht es Ihrem WLAN-Telefon mit Skype zu
kommunizieren und dessen Funktionalität zu nutzen. Die
Installationsschritte sind in dieser Anleitung unter “Skype-Software
installieren” aufgeführt.

 Bevor Sie den USB-Dongle einstecken müssen Sie die
SkyWin-Software installieren.
Systemvoraussetzungen
Um Skype mit dem WLAN-Telefon nutzen zu können, muss Ihr
Computer die folgenden minimalen Systenvoraussetzungen erfüllen:

 Computer mit einem freien USB-1.1-Port (oder höher)

 PC mit Betriebssystem Windows®2000 oder XP.

 400-MHz-Prozessor

 128 MB RAM

 15 MB freie Festplattenkapazität

 Internetanschluss

Die LED des Dongles sollte leuchten, wenn der Dongle in einen
eingeschalteten Computer eingesteckt ist. Sie zeigt den Status der
RF-Verbindung zwischen dem WLAN-Telefon und dem Dongle wie folgt
an.

1. Falls Skype noch nicht auf Ihrem Computer installiert ist, laden Sie
bitte zunächst die Installationsdatei von www.skype.com herunter.
2. Doppelklicken Sie auf diese Datei und folgen Sie den Anweisungen
auf dem Bildschirm.
Installatin der SkyWin-Software
1. Legen Sie die mitgelieferte Software-Utility-CD in das
CD-ROM-Laufwerk Ihres PCs. Das Setup-Programm wird nun
automatisch starten. Andernfalls suchen Sie bitte die Datei Setup.exe
und starten Sie das Setup-Programm mit einem Doppelklick.
2. Wählen Sie im erscheinenden Willkommens-Bildschirm bitte eine
Sprache für die Installation und klicken Sie auf Weiter.

4. Um die Installation zu beenden klicken Sie auf Fertig.
3. Falls Sie das Programm nicht in das vorgesehene Verzeichnis
installieren wollen, klicken Sie bitte auf Browse, um ein anderes
Verzeichnis auszuwählen. Dann klicken Sie auf Weiter.

Installation des USB-Dongles
Stecken Sie den USB-Dongle in einen USB-Port Ihres Computers. Das
System wird nun automatisch den Windows-eigenen Treiber installieren.
Wenn der folgende Bildschirm erscheint wählen Sie immer Diesem
Programm die Benutzung von Skype erlauben und klicken Sie auf OK.
Klicken Sie auf Ja, wenn sie nach einem Neustart des Systems gefragt
werden
In dieserAnleitung wird der Computer ,in welchem das USB-Dongle
eingesteckt ist, als “Host-Computer” referenziert.
Anmerkung: Sie werden diesen Bildschirm nicht zu Gesicht
bekommen, wenn Skype nicht aktiv ist. Sie können die Konfiguration
später im Skype-Fenster vornehmen. Details hierzu finden Sie im
Benutzerhandbuch.
Falls das Dongle über einen USB-Hub mit Ihrem Computer verbunden ist,
stellen Sie bitte sicher, dass der Hub mit seinem Netzteil verbunden ist.
Andernfalls kann der Dongle durch unzureichende Stromversorgung
Geräusche während einer Unterhaltung produzieren..

Zugriff auf SkyWin-Funktionen
Nach erfolgreicher Installation von SkyWin und bei jedem Neustart des
Systems startet SkyWin automatisch mit seinem Icon in der Systemleiste.
Nach einem Rechtsklick auf das Icon können Sie folgendes ausführen:
1. Klicken Sie auf Aktionen > Optionen > Privatsphäre >
Zugriffsverwaltung (externe Anwendungen)
2. Wählen Sie SKYPHONE-1000.EXE und klicken Sie Change

3. Wählen Sie die passende Option aus, um das unterstützte
Programm auf Skype zugreifen zu lassen.
Verbindungsstatus des Host
Bevor Sie das Skyphone benutzen, stellen Sie sicher, das seine
Verbindung zwischen dem Telefon und dem USB Dongle besteht und
dass SkyWin und Skype auf Ihrem Computer richtig eingerichtet sind.
Platzieren Sie den Mauszeiger über dem SkyWin Icon in der Taskleiste,
um Informationen über den im folgenden beschriebenen
Verbindungsstatus zu erhalten
.
SkyWin Ikone Verbindung Status
Das USB-Dongle ist eingesteckt. SkyWin und Skype sind
aktiv. Die Verbindung ist jetzt Einsatzbereit.
Das USB-Dongle ist ausgesteckt oder nicht ordnungsgemäß
verbunden. Abhilfe: Stellen Sie sicher, dass das
USB-Dongle korrekt eingesteckt ist..
Skype ist nicht aktiv oder wurde beendet, oder SkyWin hat
nicht die Erlaubnis, auf Skype zuzugreifen.
Abhife: Starten Sie Skype, loggen Sie sich darin ein und
erlauben Sie SkyWin den Zugriff auf Skype.
Skype ist nicht auf Ihrem Computer installiert.
Abilfe: Installieren Sie Skype.
