PRECAUTIONS
To maintain good performance
Do not use the unit in places which are
extremely hot, cold, dusty or humid.
in particular, do not keep the unit:
●in ahigh humidity area such as abathroom
●near aheater
●in an area exposed to direct sunlight (inside a
parked car, where there could be a
considerable rise in temperature)
●Keep cassette tapes, magnetic cards and
other magnetic recorded materials away from
the speaker as the recorded information may
be erased or noise may occur on cassette
tapes.
Note on listening with the earphone
●Listen at moderate volume to avoid hearing
damage.
.Do not wear the earphone ‘while driving or
cycling. It may create atraffic hazard.
●You should use extremle caution or
temporarily discontinue use in potentially
hazardous situations, such as walking,
jogging, etc.
TO INSERT DRY CELL BATTERIES

Insert two R6 (size AA) batteries with the O
and Omarks properly aligned.
Battery replacement
Replace the batteries when the sound becomes
distorted.

Note on dry cell batteries
●Make sure that the oancl Omarks are
correctly aligned.
●Do not mix different types of batteries, or an
old battery with anew one.
●Never recharge the batteries, apply heat to
them or take them apart.
●When not using the batteries, remove them to
prevent needless wear.
●If liquid leaks from the t)atteri es, wipe
thoroughly to remove.
PRECAUCIONES

prestaciones
No utilice el aparato en Iugares muy calientes,
frfos, con polvo ohumedad.
Especialmente, no debe dejar el aparato:
●en Iugares muy htimedos, por ejemplo en el
baiio.
●cerca de la calefaccion
●en un Iugar expuesto aIos rayos del sol
(dentro de un coche estacionado, donde
puede aumentar mucho la temperature)
●Mantenga Ias cintas de casete, tarjetas
magn6ticas ydemas material grabado
magneticamente Iejos del altavoz porque la
informaci6n grabada puede borrarse o
pueden aparecer ruidos en Ias cintas de
casete.
Notas para escuchar con Ios
auricttlares
●Escuche a un volumen no muy alto para no
dafiar sus oidos.
●No utilice auriculares mientras conduce o
anda en bicicleta. Puede provocar un
accidente de transito.
●Debe tenerse mucho cuidado o no seguir
utilizando en condiciones peligrosas, por
ejemplo cuando camina, corre, etc.
PARA COLOCAR PILAS +❑
Coloque dos pilas R6 (tamaflo AA) con Ias
carcas oyOcorrectamente alineadas.
Cambio de pilas
Cambie Ias pilas cuando el sonido se escucha
distorsionado.

Nota sobre Ias pilas
●Verifique que Ias marcas oy@estan
correctamente alineadas.
●No mezcle distintos tipos de pilas o una pita
vieja yuna pila nueva.
●No cargue Ias pilas, caliente odesarme.
●Cuando no utilice Ias pilas, s~quelas para
evitar que se gasten inutilmente.
●Si ha salido Iiquido de Ias pitas, Iimpie bien
para sacarlas.

Remarques concernant I’ecoute avec
des ecouteurs
●Ecouter a un volume sonore modere pour
eviter tout dommage auditif.
●Ne pas mettre Ies ecouteurs quand on conduit
ou fait du velo. Cela pourrait 6tre dangereux.
●II est conseille de se montrer tres prudent ou
d’arr6ter temporairement I’emploi clans Ies
situations potentiellement dangereuses,
pendant la marche ou Ie jogging par exemple.
INSERTION DES PILES SECHES

Inserer deux piles R6 (format AA) en respectant
Ies polarites Oet O.
Replacement des piles
Remplacer Ies piles quand Ie son devient
deforme.

Remarques sur Ies piles sliches
●Verifier ‘que [es marques (0, O)sentbien
alignees.
●Ne pas melanger des piles de types
difference, ou des piles neuve et ancienne.
●Ne jamais recharger Ies piles, Ies chauffer ou
Ies demonter.
●Quand Ies piles ne sent pas utilisees, Ies
retirer de I’appareil pour ~viter toute usure
inutile.
●En cas de fuite, essuyer tout Ie Iiquide.
RADIO RECEP1’10N +❑
1Turn the VOL control’ upward to turn on
the radio.
2Select AM or FM.
3Turn the TUNING control to tune in to a
station.
When astation is tuned in to, the TUNING
indicator lights.
After listening, turn the VOL control downward
until it clicks.
For better reception --+ ❑
FM: Extend the FM antenna and place it in the
position that sounds best.
AM: Turn the unit to find the position which
gives the best reception.
When listening with the earphone
Connect the supplied earphone to the EAR
jack. When the earphone is connected, the
sound through the speaker will not be heard.
MAINTENANCE
To clean the cabinet
Use asoft cloth iightly moistened with amild
detergent solution.
Do not use the strong solvents such as alcohol,
benzine or cleaner.

1Gire et control VOL hacia arriba para
encender la radio.
2Seleccione AM oFM.
3Gire el control TUNING para sintonizar
una emisora.
Cuando se sintoniza una emisora, se
enciende et indicador TUNING.
Cuando no desee escuchar mas, gire ei
control VOL hacia abajo hasta que se escuche
un chasquido.
Para urra mejor recepcih +H
FM: Alargue la antena de FM ymueva ala
posici6n en la que Ios sonidos se escuchan
mejor.
AM: Gire el aparato hasta encontrar la posici6n
en la que la recepcion sea la mejor
posible.
Cuando escuche con Ios auriculares
Conecte el auricular suministrado en la toma
EAR. Cuando conecte el auricular, no podra
escuchar el sonido por el altavoz.
MANTENIMIENTO
Para Iimpiar el mueble
Utilice un pafio suave empapado en una
soiucirh detergence neutra.
No utilice disolventes fuertes tales como
alcohol, bencina oIimpiador.

1Tourner la commande VOL vers Ie haut
pour allumer la radio.
2Selectionner AM ou FM.
3Tourner la commande TUNING pour
accorder une station.

FM: Etendre I’antenne FM et la placer ala
position dormant Ie meilleur son.
AM: Tourner I’appareil pour trouver la position
offrant la meilleure r6ception.
Al’6coule avec des 6couteurs
Brancher Ie cordon des ecouteurs sur la prise
EAR. Aucun son ne sort du haut-parleur quand
des ecouteurs sent branches.
ENTRETIEN
Neltoyage du coffret
Utiliser un chiffon doux humecte de sc,lution
detergence deuce.
Ne pas utiliser de solvant fort, tel qu’alcool,
benzine ou Iiquide de nettoyage.
