AX-SCB Steam Cleaner
Description:
This unit is for cleaning castings and instruments, removal of grease, sticky wax, pickling agents,
contaminants and adhesives.
AX-SCB Steam Cleaner is the updated version of the AX-SCA Steam Cleaner. Users can use tap
water instead of distilled water which reduces production costs. The boiler, casing, buttons,
indicator lights, and internal parts are made of stainless steel which significantly increases its
lifespan and reliability. This unit has both steam-gun-controlled and button-controlled steaming
methods, it features low water, over-pressure, over-heat protection and forced heat function. It also
has high heating power, quick steam generating power, high efficiency, strong and stable cleaning
power.

Instructions:
1. Plug in the power cord, the power indicator lights up. Press On/Off button, if there is no
water in the boiler, the Low water indicator (red) lights up.
2. Add water: press Spray button to release the air inside. Open the water inlet valve at the back,
and add water from the water inlet. Stop adding water after the Low Water Indicator is off
and Heat indicator is on. After that close the water inlet valve and press the Spray button
again. (If there is an air outlet valve, user can use it instead of the Spray button)
3. Heat: the Heat indicator lights up, the machine start to heat. After about 30-40 min, the
machine should be ready to use. The press gauge shows 0.45MPa, Heat indicator is off, the
pressure indicator lights up, and the machine is in standby mode. If there is too much water
added, water will come out first, then steam. When the pressure drops to 0.35MPa, the
Pressure indicator goes off, Heat Indicator lights up, the machine starts to heat again to
ensure the pressure is between 0.35MPa – 0.45MPa.
4. Spray: the air gun is operated with a foot switch (earlier machines had a trigger in the steam
gun). To make the steam gun spray continuously, press the Spray button, press Spray again to
stop spraying.
5. Forced Heat: if there is not enough water in the tank, the Low Water indicator lights up. After
the low water indicator lights up, press the Forced Heat button to keep spraying (low water
indicator goes off, heat indicator lights up.)
6. Add water while the machine is on: when there is not enough water in the tank, the low water
indicator lights up, to add water, please release the pressure in the tank to 0 before opening
the water inlet valve to add water. Be careful of the steam which comes out from the air gun
to avoid accidents. To release the pressure inside, use the air gun, or wait for the water too
cool.
Cautions:
1. This machine is a high temperature and high pressure equipment, it should be used by
specialists.
2. To avoid dirt from gathering inside the boiler, water should be released regularly. The interval
should be decided by the water. To release the water, wait for the pressure to drop to 0, open
the water release valve and water inlet valve, then water will come out. After the water is
fully release, close the valves. If the water tank is dirty, users can clean the tank with pressure.
When the pressure is 2MPa, cut the power, connect a pipe to the water outlet valve, slowly
open the water outlet valve. Be careful of the hot water coming out to avoid accidents.
3. After using the machine, please unplug the machine. Only add water when the pressure is 0.
4. For safety concerns, only certified technician is allowed to open the machine to repair.
Release all the water inside the tank if the ambient temperature is below 0 degrees Celsius.
5. If the pressure limit is 4MPa, users can adjust the pressure regulator. Unplug the power cord,
open the machine and find the pressure regulator, slowly adjust the nut on the top of the
regulator and observe the analog of the pressure regulator, stop adjusting when the pressure is
4.5MPa. Do NOT set the pressure higher than 4.5MPa to avoid accidents. After adjusting,
turn off the power.
Troubleshooting
1. After the machine is turned on, the low water indicator lights up, while the water tank is
already full, and the machine does not start heating. This may be caused by the bad contact of
the water level sensor which is caused by the rust from the water. To solve the problem,
unplug and open the machine, find the two wires which connects to the power cord at the top
of the boiler, remove the power cord, loosen the stainless steel stick and remove from the top,
wipe the stick clean and put it back into the machine.
2. The machine start heating after the power is on, and the pressure continue to rise after 4.5MPa.
This may be caused by: 1. Relay (needed for replacement). 2. Pressure regulator (needed for
replacement).
