• Power-Cord Protection-Power
supply cords should be routed
so that they are not likely to be
walked on or pinched by items
placed upon or against them. Pay
particular attention to cords at
plugs, convenience receptacles,
and the point where they exit
from the appliance.
• Non-Use periods - The power
cord of the appliance should be
unplugged from the outlet when
not in use for long periods of
time.
• Object and Liquid Entry - Care
should be taken so that objects
do not fall and liquids are not
spilled into the product case
through product openings.
• Damage Requiring Service -
Unplug this product from the
wall outlet and take it to qualified
service personnel under the
following conditions.
1. When the power-supply cord
or plug is damaged.
2. If liquid has been spilled into,
or objects have fallen into the
product.
3. If the product has been
exposed to rain or water.
4. If the product does not
operate when used according
to the operating instructions.
5. Adjust only those controls
that are covered by the
operating instructions as
an improper adjustment of
other controls may interfere
with the product’s normal
operation.
6. If the product has been
dropped or damaged in any
way.
7. When the product exhibits
a distinct change in
performance, this indicates a
need for service.
• Servicing - The user should
not attempt to service the
product beyond that described
in the operating instruction. All
servicing should be referred to
qualified service personnel.
• Power Lines - An outside antenna
system should not be located in
the vicinity of overhead power
lines, or other electric light
or power circuits, or where it
can fall into such power lines
or circuits. When installing an
outside antenna system, extreme
care should be taken to keep
from touching power lines or
circuits as contract with them
might be fatal.
• Outdoor Antenna Grounding -If an
outside antenna is connected to
the receiver, be sure the antenna
system is grounded so as to
provide some protection against
voltage surges and built up
static. Section 810 of the National
Electrical Code ANSI/NEFA 70
provides information with respect
to proper to grounding of the
mast and supporting structure,
grounding conductress, location
of antenna-discharge unit, size
of grounding electrodes, and
requirements for the grounding
electrode (see figure).
• Cleaning-Unplug this product
from the wall outlet before
cleaning. Do not use liquid
cleaners or aerosol cleaners.
Use a damp cloth for cleaning.

• Lightning-For added protection
for this product during a
lightning storm, or when it is left
unattended and unused for long
periods of time, unplug it from
the wall outlet and disconnect
the antenna or cable system.
This will prevent damage to the
product due to lightning and
power-line surges. (see fig.1)
• Safety Check - Upon completion
of any service or repairs to
this product, ask the service
technician to perform safety
checks to determine that the
product is in proper operation
condition.
• Overloading - Do not overloads
wall outlets, extension cords, or
integral convenience receptacles
as this can result in a risk of fir or
electric shock.
• Do not apply oil or petroleum
products to this product
• CAUTION! Invisible laser
radiation will be emitted
when the product is open and
interlocks are defeated. Do not
defeat the safety interlocks.
• Graphic symbols with
supplementary markings are
located at the back of the unit.
• Use of controls, adjustments, or
performance procedure herein
may result in hazardous radiation
exposure.
• In the unlikely event the
appliance develops a fault,
stop using it immediately and
seek advice from the service

USING YOUR APPLIANCE
BEFORE FIRST USE:
• Remove your appliance from the
packaging.
• Dispose of the packaging in a
responsible manner.
• Locate your appliance in accordance
with the safety instructions.
• Plug the appliance into the mains
supply.
• Your appliance is now ready for
normal use.
POWER OPTIONS:
• Batteries: Insert 4 x DC 1.5V size
C batteries (not included) into the
battery compartment.
• Adaptor: Plug the adaptor into the
AC Power Jack on the back of the
Cassette Player, and then plug in at
the mains and switch on.
CONTROLLING PLAYBACK:
1. Press the STOP/EJ button twice to
open the cassette door.
2. Insert a tape into the player. Note:
Make sure the open part of the
tape is facing upwards, and that the
wound ribbon is on the left side of the
tape. Taking care to insert the tape
correctly.
3. Close the door and press the PLAY
button to play audio on the tape.
4. Use the Playback buttons in the figure
above to Rewind, Fast Forward, Stop
or Pause the cassette tape.
5. Use the Volume dial (on the left side
of the tape player) to control the
volume level.
6. Press the STOP button once to end
playback. Press the STOP/EJ button
again to eject the tape. The cover will
open and the tape can be removed or
reversed. Note: Make sure to close
the door once the tape is removed
or has been reversed to continue
playback.
7. When the tape finishes, the player
will stop and automatically turn off.
NOTE: The PLAY button will not function
after the tape player automatically shuts
off. To continue using the player, rewind
the tape or remove it and turn it over.
RECORDING AUDIO:
The tape player is equipped to record
audio onto a cassette tape using an
external or built-in microphone.
1. Insert a tape into the cassette player.
2. Use an external microphone/device
or the built-in microphone to record
audio. Note: If recording with an
external device/MIC, plug it into the
EXT. MIC jack.
3. Push the REC button to record.
4. You may now begin recording.
5. Note: It’s not necessary to use the
microphone close to the mouth to
record.
6. The tape player will automatically
shut off once the end of the tape is
reached.
7. Press the STOP/EJC button once to
stop the recording process at any
time.

USING YOUR APPLIANCE
8. To record on the tape’s reverse side,
press the STOP/EJ button twice and
open the door. Take out the tape and
insert it with the reversed side up,
close the door and press the record
button to resume.
9. You can erase a recording by
beginning a new recording on the
same tape.
10. To listen to your recording, use the
buttons to control playback.
TROUBLESHOOTING
CLEANING & MAINTENANCE
Problem Possible Cause
The tape player will not
turn on. Make sure the device is plugged into the mains or that the
batteries are properly installed. Then turn on the device.
The tape player will not
record. Make sure the device is powered on.
Check to see if a tape is inside the cassette player & that the
record button has been pressed.
If using an external MIC/device to record, make sure it has not
been disconnected.
The device will play even
though the PLAY button
has been pressed.
The device will automatically shut off when the tape comes
to an end. To continue reverse the tape or rewind it to begin
playback.
1. Always disconnect the equipment
from the power supply before
cleaning.
2. Clean the equipment with a soft,
damp, lint free cloth.
3. Do not use abrasives or harsh
cleaners.
